I'm definitely there with Rasmus W. Ankersen. Actually, I've been there since he masterminded the first SR relegation.

I doubt it, unfortunately. They stuck with Nathan Jones and Russel Martin too long, because they didn't want to admit they ballsed up. They probably will do exactly the same with Still. Not only are they beyond incompetent with choosing managers, they are equally inept at sacking them as well.

In fairness to MLG, I don’t think he said Spors would definitely be a success, but rather that we shouldn’t write him off, given that Ankersen and the rest of the clowns were supposedly taking a back seat. I think most of us hoped this would be the case. But the jury has surely come back in with their verdict. Spors is a disaster, a German version of Rasmus Ankersen.

Unfortunately it may take more than months with the clowns in charge. I wouldn't be surprised if they stick with him for the whole season, unless we're in the bottom three at Christmas, and even then, the clueless muppets may not sack him, hoping it'll get better. But the bowling has been decent, Hants have been unlucky not to have won several more matches due to weather, had to play the worst team twice with a tennis ball, had a dodgy 8 point deduction, and only lost 3 matches all season (Durham lost 6).

Nine years ago Durham got docked enough points to relegate them and Hants were the beneficiaries. Roles reversed now.

A win was always going to be enough. I just had a look at the table. Maybe the dropped batting point doesn’t matter. If Hants and Durham both draw (or lose) then they both have the same number of points and wins (assuming Durham get 3 bowling points), but Hants finish above them on fewer losses I think. So I think a draw is probably enough. If so, Hants finish above Durham if they draw or lose, and finish above Yorkshire if Durham wins (and Yorkshire gets less than 400 in their first innings.)

Can someone explain what is the criteria for a points deduction for a "poor wicket"? I can see if no teams gets above 150, but for the Sussex match they almost made it to 300 in their first innings, and had a player make a century.
