I've said it before, simply use feet only in determining offside. Nothing is perfect, but by having just one part of the bodies to compare simplifies things. Perhaps they could even put chips in boots and technology to determine which boots is in front. They use skates (only) in the ice hockey version of offside (you can only enter the attacking zone if the puck enters before your skates). So if anyone says that footballers score with other parts of their bodies apart from feet, so all those should be considered for offside, when was the last time you saw a hockey player score with his skates? It works well for that sport so maybe they should try it in football. There will always be marginal calls, so make the line thick enough to give the benefit of the doubt to the attacker, and give VAR 30 seconds maximum to rule the goal offside.
