  1. If we lose the next two league matches against Ipswich and Bournemouth I would say his position would be untenable.
  2. Not a cat's chance in hell that Ankersen and SR will hire anyone who is "old school". They are only going to hire someone sufficiently hipster and unproven at this level, which would show they are cleverest geniuses on the planet.
  3. Bugger. That means he only misses two PL matches.
  4. You mean like they did a few years ago with de Boer after 4 matches? They ended up finishing 11th.
  5. Yes, but Dragan should. It's his money they are flushing down the toilet with their incompetence.
  6. If the players aren’t good enough how come we more than matched Utd for the first 30 minutes? I’m not saying we have a great squad, but we do have one that can give it a good go at finishing above 18th. With a competent manager.
  7. Back to back automatic promotions. It was a difficult start but definitely better performances as we got used to the level of the PL. In fairness NC wouldn’t sack RM if he was in charge now. Because he wouldn’t have hired him in the first place. Ankersen and SR are costing Dragan a fortune. If I were him I’d take action now.
  8. It was an improvement on the Forest and Brentford shambles in the sense he cut out most of the tippy tappy at the back crap. Yes the first 30 minutes were fine. After that it went to pieces. That’s on the manager Also as the manager he should have had penalty takers well prepared, not just one, and set up in order. BBD has a good record. Why wasn’t he first choice? As for Jack Shoehorn, who was responsible for him being picked? And as for tactics, why was BBD out wide (yet again), where he’s crap? After the penalty miss we didn’t look like we’d score in a month of Sundays. If Nic Cortese were in charge RM would be fired today. But we have Ankersen and his SR clowns in charge and they are clueless about football (they chose the poor managers in the first place). Which means by the time they sack RM it’ll be too late to save the sinking ship.
  9. Positives: First 30 minutes we more than matched them. Dibling. Not much tippy tappy at the back. Jack Shoehorn will be out for 3 matches I think. Negatives: Everything else. We went to pieces after that poor penalty miss. We desperately need a CF who can score, he would lift the whole team, whose confidence will ebb away after every defeat. How long will Stewart be fit, and if so can he do it at this level? BBD is hopeless on the wing, if you must play him have him more central. And Tall Paul is with us, give him a go FFS Russ.
  10. Futsal also had quite a positive impact a few years ago on a young kid in Argentina named Messi.
  11. A few, not most. Most of us here agree with him.
  12. Yes indeed. And sad that an opposition fan seems to have a much better understanding of what's wrong with our tactics than our own manager.
  13. Two weeks fly by so quickly.
  14. With excellent help from the tail. The last 3 wickets almost doubled the score and gave them 4 batting points.
  15. You can say that again!
  16. Can’t blame them. It’s been a long season.
  17. I’m sure his massive ego won’t let him sit quietly in the background and let others make the decisions without him. Which is bad news for us as he has that fatal combination of thinking he’s a genius while being a blithering idiot.
  18. I don’t want to get into a tedious argument about this. I’m not criticising them, it’s a great podcast and they can discuss whatever they like. All I’m saying is I’m surprised they made no mention of most fans and pundits condemning the way we play out from the back.
  19. They didn't address why those mistakes were being made (in all three matches), namely from the passing around back and forth and slow walking out from the back when under pressure, and the almost universal condemnation from fans and pundits alike. As I said, they don't have to agree with the criticisms, but I would have liked to hear their views on the matter. As I said, I am surprised they seemed brush it under the carpet. I'm sure they are well aware, especially as Steve Grant is one of the them.
  20. I always enjoy listening to TSP, but I was surprised today that there was no real mention about the elephant in the room, RM's tactics of playing it around the edge of the box. Yes there were vague mentions about tactics, but not specifically about what is driving most of us nuts. Not only are most here on SW ripping those tactics to pieces (see Russell Martin and Brentford match threads), so were the match taters and many pundits. I'm not saying any of you should agree (in Alfie's case he probably needs to be diplomatic), but I was hoping you'd discuss it one way or the other. Has Glen been fired? He can be outspoken so maybe he would have given his opinion!
  21. Also sent to RM for him to read.
  22. This in a nutshell. We could argue one way or the other about the merits of high risk - high reward tactics. But RussBall is high risk - low reward. It's f*cking lunacy.
  23. I see the legs have artfully been omitted from the photo
