And Pulis takes a dramatic late lead over Rodgers.
-
Oh oh, the scousers have thrown away a 3-0 lead with 10 minutes left. Don't they realise Cheats FC desperately need the million pound bonus money for them finishing first?

Ralph Krueger interview with AM650 soccer talk
Dark Munster replied to Toon Saint's topic in The Saints
Nothing to be embarrassed about of course, but it's not such a huge achievement that RK seems to make out. If he'd helped Finland win the gold (for example) it would have been much more impressive. Also, the coach and players have to take most of the credit, rather than a special adviser to the coaching staff. -
ManUre could still overtake Spurs (on g.d.) and claim 6th spot. Apart from the extra Sky money, doesn't 6th give a Europa spot (with Citeh winning the League Cup, an extra spot is free)? So if they beat Hull in midweek, they do have something to play for against us. Would be nice to spoil it for them. Our midfield will dominate, but scoring will again be the problem. Looks like a 0-0 to me, or maybe 0-1 with RVP nicking one on the break.
-
Did you also tell them about your track record in predictions? Is that because "Slumberland" got a draw and 2 wins away to Citeh, Chelski and ManUre? Or because Norwich can't score in a brothel? Anyway, if we were in Norwich's position you wouldn't be telling us that we'd be safe. When we were on 35 points or so, months ago, you were worried we were sleepwalking to relegation.

Canada currently has 10 of the top 20 hockey players in the world, including the number 1 (Crosby). So if I were RK I wouldn't be trumpeting my horn about them winning the gold quite as much. -
Post-Match Reaction: Swansea 0-1 SAINTS
Dark Munster replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Throw in Clyne, Fonte, Lovren, Shaw and Boruc, and it's no wonder Swansea hardly looked like scoring. I think even Real Madrid would have had to work very hard to get a goal against that line-up. -
If they'd had the deserved 10 penalty this season, the last minute goal they conceded today would've sent them down. On the bright side I'm sure Awful can do us proud next season.

"Andy Awford will be handed the remit to rip up Pompey’s bulging squad this summer. And with 16 first-team players out of contract, the scope is there to perform extensive surgery in the push to ensure there will be no relegation scare repeat." -Factless Setting their sights high, I see.

This is going to be an intense, nerve-wracking match. I'm nervous already.

c) The age-old trick of pleading poverty in an attempt to avoid being ripped off during the next transfer window.

On a scale of 1 to 10, how happy are you with saints at the moment?
Dark Munster replied to norwaysaint's topic in The Saints
4 or 5 years ago we were in administration and heading into League 1 on -10 points (or liquidation). We are now going to finish about 8th in the PL, with a number of academy players looking like present/future England quality. So 9/10 for me (1 point lost for the FA Cup cock up, and Nicola leaving which makes me a bit uneasy). -
Even if you hire a baby-sitter?
-
Indeed. Manager of the year (unless Liverpool win the title).
-
Everton 2 Palace 3 Palace up to 11th on 40 points. It has to be between Pulis and Rodgers.

DM: Mauricio Pochettino has failed this season
Dark Munster replied to Glasgow_Saint's topic in The Saints
Those MP apologists are very good at the straw man argument, aren't they SM? In fairness though, it's all they've got. -

I hope you're right, but I find it a bit unbelievable, Jeff: MP hasn't shown any sign of remorse about his team selection. -

Not when you are locked in mid table with no relegation or European spots to avoid/play for. -
Note, swap positions/cup only. Same manager, squad, academy etc.

Not Chelsea?

This ^. But if Liverpool don't win the league it should be Pulis. Hands up who thought CP were dead and buried when he took over? Not only were they bottom on 4 points from 11 games, they were playing crap, the squad was useless, and they looked doomed. If he'd been able to do a great escape and survive by a point it would have been remarkable. But now they are 12th, 7 points clear, after beating the likes of Chelsea. Incredible.
