  1. Let's hope Bayern Munich don't snap him up.
  2. You've got a good memory.
  3. I'm not saying RM shouldn't get some credit, but there's a big difference playing against Championship defenses vs. PL ones.
  4. Leeds have no chance. They have to play away in every round.
  5. Leeds have an away tie. Apparently that’s their thirteenth in a row in the FA Cup, a record! The odds of that happening are over 8000 to 1.
  6. Thank god for that invisible fence. If they’d got through that it would’ve been mayhem.
  7. Yes, us not finishing in the playoff spots is about as likely as Leicester not finishing in the top 2. Us, them, Ipswich, Leeds and WBA look very likely to take the top 5 spots, with about 7 other teams fighting for the last spot. If we can play like we did today regularly I'm not giving up on catching Ipswich.
  8. Not at all Trousers, me ol' mucker. Spot on. Russell, if you're reading this, I promise I'll write nice things about you if your team plays like they did today and against Leeds. Stick with Jeckll, and no more of the ponderous, pedestrian, plodding, propaganda, passive, predictable crab Hyde please!
  9. Not for me. Can’t find any on the list that work
  10. Maybe this is partly why RM was in such a filthy mood when interviewed by Blackmore after the match on Wednesday?
  11. That's assuming a competent ref! If he wiped out the player without touching the ball he may have genuinely attempted to get the ball, but the ref could easily see it otherwise. If so, and the player would have been through on an empty goal, is it a red along with a penalty nowadays? I'm not sure if double jeopardy applies in that case.
  12. Yes he timed that one perfectly. Not easy, if not it would've been a penalty and sending off.
  13. https://sportsnest.co/t2-southampton-vs-bristol-city/ Working fine so far. Not sure when the match actually starts.
  14. That's my point though, he's a damned good manager. There's a huge gulf between the PL and the Championship, so I think you're greatly overestimating the difficulty in improving from last season, and the "scar tissues". We also had mind-numbing bad managers, the squad wasn't as bad as our position. With a decent squad a good manager can make a big difference in a short space of time. Look at Villa. Also Leicester were quite a shambles too, and look at them now.
  15. How much did the Ipswich squad cost compared to ours? Do you honestly think us and them would still be where we are now in the league if our managers were swapped at the beginning of this season?
  16. RM blamed the players for the appalling second half. But that ponderous, pedestrian, plodding, passive play is a hallmark of teams from his previous clubs as well. Occam's Razor suggest it's not the players, Russell, but you. Unless it's Manning's fault.
  17. I'd swap managers if offered.
  18. Me too. I wouldn’t fancy our chances against WBA for example, especially over 2 legs, with their much better manager.
  19. We have one of the best squads in the division, and certainly one of the most expensive. So I don't think expecting us to be pushing for the top two is "needing to get in the real world".
  20. Can we get him banned from the dressing room from now on?
  21. I'd swap managers in a heartbeat if offered.
  22. Good point, if his name was a sexy foreign one we'd be singing his praises, ignoring all his faults. Just like we did with Mauricio Pellegrino and Ruben Selles.
  23. Keep working on them. They could still sell like hot cakes at the end of the season.
  24. France 14 Gibraltar 0 Lol! There ought to be preliminary group of shit for all the Mickey Mouse teams, with only the winner going into a proper group.
