That would be a disaster for Phil! In desperation he may have to get together with some of his Dubai millionaire golfing buddies to form a consortium to take over Cheats FC. Is Tiger down there at the moment? If not, maybe Gold and Sullivan would be willing to chip in to help with this rescue mission.

Yes, but not going up means they'll be in a similar position to the Cheats. It shit or bust for them, so I can see them "buying" a couple of the Cheats' players with enough money (just added to the Hammer's huge debt) to keep them (the Cheats) from folding mid-season.

Thank you c.s. Actually, I'm a Prof in maths, so I know a little bit about numbers (but not much about literature!) brmbrm is right, our huge g.d. is worth any fraction of a point in the open interval (0,1).

Yes, I'm sure they'll get a large contribution.

Who can forget the last game of last season - 3 points clear of 3rd place, and gd so superior that Saints could only be overtaken if they lost and Huddersfield won by 15 or so goals. That made it a very stress-free last day. More of the same this time would be most welcome.

Being German helps.

Very shortly I think, if the parachute payments aren't forwarded. Until the end of the season if they are forwarded. As has been mentioned a few times before, the only thing keeping the rotten corpse on life support up until now are the remaining parachute payments. Once they've been snatched by Chinney et al, it's hasta la vista you DFCSBs.

I reckon TB's cunning plan is to limp on, by a wing, a prayer, and deferred wages, for as long as possible: the closer the Cheats get to the end of the season, the harder it is for the FL to allow them to get liquidated, putting the league table in chaos. It's the old "forward me the parachute payments or I'll shoot the kitten" routine. And it will no doubt work. But it'll be just a stay of execution for the Cheats. Come April 28th, we'll probably be able to start our promotion/liquidation double celebrations.

I'd prefer this careful wording: "We'll advance you £XXXX if you take a 50 points deduction. This will of course mean certain relegation. So, to give you an incentive to give your best in all remaining games, any negative points remaining at the end of this season get applied next season."

Dalek agrees with Doctor Who?

Provided, of course, that they don't actually pay any wages. You're right. I shouldn't let AA's appalling spelling and grammar influence my opinion of him being an arsehole.

Coventry need point to stay up and relegate Skates
Dark Munster replied to Nadia Sllim's topic in The Saints
Not only that, but we beat them twice earlier in the season (cup and league), so we had more success against them than most other teams that season. This. -

Come on everyone. Demand your money. Now!

Would it be too much to ask for a mass brawl, 5 players sent off for both teams, match abandoned, and a 0-3 defeat awarded to both teams?

I'm not sure Voldemort ever had any understanding in the first place. Even the Clot knew the cesspit of a club was about to sink, and abandoned the foul, diseased, sinking ship.

Ah, just as I predicted, the old give-us-some-loans-or-we'll-ruin-the-integrity-of-the-league blackmail. And as I said before, a simple solution. Hit them with a huge penalty points deduction (50 or so), let them bring in a few loans, but have all remaining negative points carry over to next season in L1. Certain relegation for the Cheats, but still an incentive to at least try in each match.

Another Chinny puppet administrator waiting in the wings?

Well, predictable to most of us that is. With a phew notable exceptions. Just after the mafia takeover last June ....

Trouble is, now they'll want to buy half our U-18 team.
