  1. Rather generous. How about both teams finishing with 6 men, match abandoned, 0 points each?
  2. Yes, indeed. Sad, isn't it? I suspect that the conversation between TB and Chinny went along the lines of Chinny saying he'll consider buying the cesspit of a club, provided TB can scare, with the threat of liquidation, all of the high wage earners into accepting moving on in loans, or agreeing to massive pay cuts. And it seems that TB is trying his damnest to do just that. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11095/7568957/ Certain relegation? Of course. Possible huge points penalties and demotion to the sewer of the FL? No problem for our Chinny! As long as the rotten corpse is on life support just long enough until the last parachute payment date, I have a feeling Chinny isn't too concerned about Westwood sobbing into his bell when the Cheats FC plug is finally pulled.
  3. Yes. According to Chinny a "proper owner" is an idiot with dirty money, and an ego to match, who will pour filthy money into the cesspit long enough to keep the rotten corpse alive just long enough for him (Chinny) to get his hands on the remaining parachute money.
  4. West Ham are also looking to aid Portsmouth survival as they look to secure the signing of Jason Pearce for the remainder of the season offering up a fee and paying his wages for the season in a desperate attempt to help the Blues stay in business. Well, who would've thunk it? I never saw that coming. I'm shocked I tell you, shocked. http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?36200-pompey-fixs&p=1289249#post1289249
  5. Easy to miss things amongst the 1153 pages.
  6. TBF that's almost as bad. Regarding their match tomorrow, it's the old mass-brawl-match-abandoned-both-teams-docked-3-points wish.

  9. That would be a disaster for Phil! In desperation he may have to get together with some of his Dubai millionaire golfing buddies to form a consortium to take over Cheats FC. Is Tiger down there at the moment? If not, maybe Gold and Sullivan would be willing to chip in to help with this rescue mission.
  10. Yes, but not going up means they'll be in a similar position to the Cheats. It shit or bust for them, so I can see them "buying" a couple of the Cheats' players with enough money (just added to the Hammer's huge debt) to keep them (the Cheats) from folding mid-season.
  11. Thank you c.s. Actually, I'm a Prof in maths, so I know a little bit about numbers (but not much about literature!) brmbrm is right, our huge g.d. is worth any fraction of a point in the open interval (0,1).
  12. Yes, I'm sure they'll get a large contribution.
  13. I beg to differ.
  14. Who can forget the last game of last season - 3 points clear of 3rd place, and gd so superior that Saints could only be overtaken if they lost and Huddersfield won by 15 or so goals. That made it a very stress-free last day. More of the same this time would be most welcome.
  15. Being German helps.
  16. Very shortly I think, if the parachute payments aren't forwarded. Until the end of the season if they are forwarded. As has been mentioned a few times before, the only thing keeping the rotten corpse on life support up until now are the remaining parachute payments. Once they've been snatched by Chinney et al, it's hasta la vista you DFCSBs.
  17. I reckon TB's cunning plan is to limp on, by a wing, a prayer, and deferred wages, for as long as possible: the closer the Cheats get to the end of the season, the harder it is for the FL to allow them to get liquidated, putting the league table in chaos. It's the old "forward me the parachute payments or I'll shoot the kitten" routine. And it will no doubt work. But it'll be just a stay of execution for the Cheats. Come April 28th, we'll probably be able to start our promotion/liquidation double celebrations.
  18. I'd prefer this careful wording: "We'll advance you £XXXX if you take a 50 points deduction. This will of course mean certain relegation. So, to give you an incentive to give your best in all remaining games, any negative points remaining at the end of this season get applied next season."
  19. Dalek agrees with Doctor Who?
