  1. The good news is they've located the bolt. The bad news is they aren't sure how to put the foot back on.
  2. Part of a Spurs con game to convince some sucker into taking him off their hands?
  3. Two words. Parachute payments. Once the last of these are in Chinny's hands, the walking dead, cheating, cesspit of a club will finally die. In the meanwhile, the phew will continue to suffer. Quite sad, really. Cheer up, Old and New Nicks, see above. As satisfying as 50 point penalty would be, it would like fining a Texas murderer a few hundred thousand dollars, while he's waiting on death row.
  4. A nice rallyboy impersonation in the aforementioned absense.
  5. That sounds like a very cunning plan. But I can't see the FL being stupid enough to allow that to happen. Oh wait a minute, yes I can.
  6. Don't underestimate the PL. Paying them is one option. But there are alternatives.
  7. As some have noted, it's probably more like 0.5p in the pound, after expenses. As mouthwatering and tempting as that offer may be, I maintain that surely the creditors know they have Chinny by the balls, and he won't allow liquidation (he's not going to cut off his parachute money to spite his face). I believe he fully expects the CVA2 to be rejected (unless he's weaseled himself in as significant unsecured creditor, via CSI perhaps). But I wonder, if CVA2 is rejected, can Chinny proceed anyway with a purchase, laughing off a 50 point deduction (or whatever the FL throws at Cheats FC for failing to exit administration with a CVA), as he later collects his parachute money in the Blue Square (or lower)? Of course, he's going to have to be creative with dealing with TBH and friends. I'm still trying to figure out how he's going to handle that little problem.
  8. Except the phew, of course.
  9. Actually, TBH is one of the main reasons why this saga is going to get even more interesting, and hilarious.
  10. These apparently hang out in the canyon behind my house. Haven't see any yet, just lots of bloody rabbits. Obviously the snakes aren't doing their job properly.
  11. But it's not as much as 3p. As I've said before, this "accept the 2p or get nothing" is bollocks. As long as the parachute payments are coming, Chinny will not let the cesspit get liquidated (yet). A few more thousand pages to this thread still to come.
  12. Or something like this?
  13. You mean they've abandoned their plan to build this?
  14. So two wrongs do make a right.
  15. You lucky whippersnapper. I still have nightmares about it. If we meet them in the finals, they'll knock us out on penalties. Again. The whole German squad has been practicing them since when they were in nappies. OTOH Roy will look in the yes of his players, and see who's up for it. You can bet your house on it.
  16. Aren't you being a bit optimistic there, rallyboy? I can see a few Yeovil/Crewe fans taking exception to that prediction.
  17. We'd go through on goals scored.
  18. Correct. Or England 3-1 and France 4-3, etc. For once the FIFA rankings are useful. Not a huge issue when it's 1st vs. 2nd at stake. But if we lose 1-0, and France loses 3-1, then France would be eliminated by FIFA rankings. In that case I predict le excrément will hit the fan.
  19. I reckon (and I may be wrong, as I often am ) that Trevor and the FL had a little "understanding", that the Cheats would not be wound up earlier (avoiding causing a mess for the fixtures), and in return Trevor won't be liable for the wage deferrals. Instead, they will be paid out of the usual FL/PFA sources if (and when) the cesspit of a club finally gets liquidated in the coming hours/days/weeks/years (take your pick). Of course, they may even get lucky, and the legendary highly-paid players, who fought bravely but in vain to escape the drop, will have a change of heart and voluntarily forgo millions of pounds in wages in order to save the club they have fallen in love with.
  20. And that's the player who vows "he's doing all he can to keep Pompey breathing". With friends like that, who needs enemies?
  21. I'm going to take a wild guess here: Chinny's portion of the unsecured debt is just sufficiently large enough that HMRC's is only 24.99% of the total unsecured debt. What prize do I win if I'm right?
  22. Careful, don't give Chinny ideas. God bless (and protect) TBH.
