  1. Oh yes, sadly for you there is plenty of life left in this old dog. Which is more than can be said for Cheats FC.
  2. If I were cynical I would think that they are doing the old Chinny/Gunner Runner Jr. trick of racking up debt, with no intention of paying. When it's finally time to pay the piper, they'll trouser what's left and leave the cesspit of a club to the wolves. But reneging on the CVA and other payments, and would mean yet another administration, in which the FL would really have to show their teeth. I doubt Admin Andy will be able to come back to con Injustice Mann and others a second time. Being dumped into the Blue Square would be the best the few could pray for, liquidation being more likely. But I am being unfair. Our friendly, cuddly Roman, and his adorable sidekick Vlad, would never be that horrible to the club they have fallen in love with.
  3. Don't put all your eggs in one basket.
  4. If Forest are going to fall for the old Stevie-boy has done a great job with limited finances crap, more fool them. One clown out for them, and a new one in. As for a possible manager's vacancy at Cheats FC, I think Stuart Gray is now ready to step up and do a stirling job for them. It will be interesting to see who finishes lower: Forest or the DFCSBs.
  5. Trial starts just as he is ready to return to the first team after a lengthy injury. Great timing.
  6. Plan A: Plan B: Plan C: A light.
  7. Remember Alan Ball (RIP), when manager of Man City, instructed his players near the end of their end of season match against liverpool to hang on to a draw? He heard from someone in the crowd that we were losing (which was false), so erroneously thought a draw would prevent City from being relegated. Well that was a minor mistake compared to this idiocy: http://www.sportinglife.com/football/news/story_get.cgi?STORY_NAME=soccer/11/10/09/SOCCER_South_Africa.html&TEAMHD=soccer&BID=165 How the hell can the coach not know the tie-breaking rules before the final match? I knew many footballers are thick, but this takes the cake!
  8. Could well be, although if so, he probably copied it from Paisley. Gazza and Rush were both as daft as brushes.
  9. In fairness, being thick isn't necessarily a handicap for a talented footballer. For example, Ian Rush was described as being "as daft as a brush" by the late, great Bob Paisley. Of course, being crap and thick is a bit of a problem.
  10. The FA would have to be clueless, complete morons, and stark raving bonkers to appoint him. Which I guess makes it a real possibility.
  11. "Ok, Mr. Dubov, I'll hold my hand out, if you insist. What ... what are you going to do with that lead pipe?"
  12. 2010/11 3rd place 80 points 2009/10 3rd place 79 points 2008/09 3rd place 80 points 2007/08 3rd place 75 points So 80 points was enough to finish 2nd in each of the last 4 years (with a good goal difference required in 2 of them).
  13. Strange, I dreamt that 2 years ago! http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?14620-Pompey-Takeover-Saga&p=526567#post526567
  14. We all know how MLT would fare.
  15. It's the small ones you can't see that worry me.
  16. Apart from De Ridder, Cork, Fox and Hooiveld.
  17. Maybe it's because half their team are ex-Saints (and some of them want to add Lambert to that list).
  18. Oh, a quiz, this is fun! Let's see ... a multi-billionaire, with not too many years left, buys a football club. He has no need of extra money. And what's the old saying: "To make a small fortune in football is to start with a large one." I think I'll stick my head out and go for option 1. Although, I don't think he was desperate. Which is more than can be said for a couple of Russian chancers I can think of.
  19. Dalek and Hypo now on 3/3. The Derby game will see one (or both) fall.
  20. Yes, but how many got promoted? (That's all that counts).
  21. A dream team for Cheats FC after Stevie-boy gets the boot: Wigley the manager, with Gray as his assistant. Or the other way around. I'm not fussy.
  22. Good shout. Peach MLT Beattie Crouch Lambert How many clubs can boast such a consistent production of brilliant penalty takers? How many have that lot missed between them? You could probably count the misses on the fingers of one hand.
  23. We already are.
  24. You mean they wouldn't even consider Stuart Gray?
  25. Can't find it. Do you have a direct link?
