Excellent article by Dan Kerins, Daily Echo
Dark Munster replied to Crab Lungs's topic in The Saints
I'm Minty. And I want my user name back. -
And to add to that, we didn't launder and spend blood money to avoid relegation, as well as buy the FA cup. P****y are now so morally corrupt as a club that they would willingly take money from Kim Jong-il if they had the chance.
-
They probably won't be paid. Think of them as one month loans (just long enough though to hurt us at SMS ). Spot on. We'll have mixed emotions if they're liquidated after knocking us out of the cup. I don't think they'll much care about being liable as they sip champagne on some beach in Dubai. And if my Auntie had balls she would be my uncle.

Even if the liquidator voids the transactions, they won't get the money back because the money will probably be in some overseas accounts, and the skates' owners will have scarpered just before P*****y is liquidated.

Puncheon Signs 3 1/2 Yr Contract at Saints

So is he cup-tied for the FA cup? -
The question should be.... will PFC be there?
-
At least they didn't wait until after the date when the point deduction would carry over to the next season. No Chairman would be that stupid/vindictive. Oh.
-
Wouldn't surprise me if Arsenal will also pay his wages. Arsenal are set to lose the 6 points they got against them (and +6 g.d.) if the skates are wound up, so Wenger and Arsenal will probably do everything they can to keep the skates alive until the end of the season.

Q. Why would anyone want to spend £60m buying the skates, with no infrastructure, massive debts, a decrepit ground, land mortgaged to shady creditors, and bottom of the PL? A. Because the FAPPT is a joke and, unlike the other 19 PL clubs, they are willing to sell to any sordid, morally corrupt crooks who have enough blood money (gun running, dictatorships, ...).

+1 http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?p=578454#post578454 Maybe yes, maybe no.

Why? We're owned by a multi-billionaire. Best possible draw: the skates (and we win). Worst possible draw: the skates (and we lose).

I think you're being a bit unkind to cheap dirty whores, comparing them to P****y.

No one worried at the level of spending..?

Good question. -
No one worried at the level of spending..?
Dark Munster replied to Thedelldays's topic in The Saints
:smt042 Let's say he gets out after 10 years (when he's in his seventies), takes Saints to the PL, and sells for a tidy profit of say £50 million. So he would make about £5 million per year on average: that means buying Saints earned him about 0.2% per year extra on top of his £2.5 billion. He really needs that extra money! -

Sorry, I have no doubt that you're wrong. ML is a multi-billionaire. He's in his sixties. He doesn't need to make money any more, he wants to enjoy it. If he wanted to make money he wouldn't invest in an English football club. What's that saying: if you want to make a small fortune in football, you have to start with a big one. I think he simply wants the enjoyment of owning and creating a successful football team, without debts, by spending a tiny % of his enormous wealth (which just seems a lot to us paupers ). -
At 5.00 a right back Yes indeed. But let's hope their match is not called off. It would be a shame for it to be rearranged for after their African Nations Cup players get back (assuming that their club still exists then )

... not to mention being more talented.
