Good grief, it's the manager's job to make sure the players play to a system, that's what he's been paid millions for. Blaming the players is no excuse. And who is saying when we play well the manager shouldn't get credit? I'm not saying that, and I don't think anyone else is. The point is very simple, we've played tippy tappy crab football for the majority of the season, and dropped many points as a result. His record before us makes it clear it's his strategy. Hopefully he's learnt his lesson, but I doubt it, since he's been doing this since he started coaching. We should be out playing most teams in this division with the squad we have. Not winning every match of course, but we should be up there with Ipswich. Him claiming we need time is a load of bollocks.

Disagree, it's when the team ditches Russball they look much better going forward, and defensively. Leeds first half being a prime example. Against Preston it was Russball for most of the match and we were lucky to get a draw against very limited opposition. He does seem to be a good man manager, which is important, so I'll give him that. He just needs to dump the Russball and play to the squad's strengths. There is no excuse for us to be 10 points behind Ipswich (having played one more match) and to have one of the worst defensive records in the league.

But still those are an oasis surrounded by tippy tap crab Russball most of the time (including our last match). If he can put his ego aside and abandon his Russball we certainly have the squad to do well. And we aren't on his back because he's British FFS. Is he aware of what we fans thought of Mauricio The Clown Pellegrino, Selles (he's Spanish, right?), the Dutch Laurel and Hardy pair, etc., even Claude Puel (a decent manager but despised by many because he had the charisma of a sloth).

Yes, but it wasn't that great a difference, and also you can blame SR for not getting a striker that every man, woman and their dog knew we needed. One of the reasons Ralph ended up broken. I'm not saying we should be flying as high as Villa are now (although with Emery you never know). But it grates seeing two clubs diverge by such a wide margin in one year due to sheer, unadulterated, mind boggling incompetence.

Villa thrash West Ham 4-1 and are up to fifth, a point behind Liverpool in third. A year ago they and we were both floundering in the lower parts of the PL. Then they appointed Unai Emery, and we appointed Ankersen's genius pick Nathan F*cking Jones. Now they have a good shot at qualifying for the Europa League, who knows even CL (and with Emery you can't bet against them doing well in the Europa League). Meanwhile we're fighting to make the championship playoffs with a manager that most Swansea fans were delighted to see the back of.

Ralph was ok, until the end when he'd given up. And he was hired well before Ankersen arrived and started his disastrous RMS Titanic captaincy. Incompetent recruitment, flushing tens of millions down the toilet, hiring managers that the majority could see immediately were out of their depth. Relegated in rock bottom place. Continuing with another hopeless manager and blowing our golden chance of bouncing back up. I'd think anyone with half a brain would view that as a cycle of shit. And my glass isn't half empty, it's completely empty.

There’s a simple solution to not having to replace 4 managers in 18 months. Stop hiring crap ones. As long as Ankersen keeps choosing failures as part of his cunning, genius plan this cycle of disaster will continue. And keeping his latest crap manager on past his sell by date (which was after the Leicester debacle) won’t solve the problem, only prolong it. Dragan needs to tell JM to sort this mess out now, get rid of RM and find a replacement with zero input from Ankersen, and preferably advice from outside experts. This cycle of shit has to end now.

Yes indeed, but not just that match, it's been the entire season under RM, except a few decent halves here and there. He has one of the strongest squads in this poor division, and he and the pillock Ankersen who chose him are blowing our chance of promotion. And now we're getting more the bollocks about needing more time, along with more f*cking powerpoints. How many more seasons do you need Russ to get it into your thick skull out that your possession propaganda football wins you nothing?
