  1. And scoring the winning goal, with VAR ruling that it is onside by 5 mm.
  2. From the worst home performance (against a crap team) followed by one of the best in a long time (against one of the best in the world). I can't imagine such a difference between two consecutive home games, ever. P.S. Here is the list of teams to beat Manchester City in 90 minutes in the League Cup over the past seven years. Manchester United Saints
  3. I was thinking the same question. With Haaland, De Bruyne, etc surely to come on I think I'd take it.
  4. If he takes a penalty the keeper won't know which way to dive.
  5. Apparently in his spare time Grant competes on the Professional Bowling Tour.
  6. If you can achieve that Mr. Jones I'll eat my hat.
  7. Respectfully disagree. The two goals gifted by the Palace keeper barely papered over the cracks of a truly diabolical performance against Forest, with a manager who is out of his depth.
  8. It's ok, I can handle the Jones In thread. I just can't handle him being manager!
  9. His new manager bounce was the second half against Liverpool.
  10. We even got a Jones In thread after the Palace keeper gifted us 2 goals! The fraud should’ve been sacked straight after the final whistle against Forest. Us signing some seemingly good players now is just like putting lipstick on a pig if he remains in charge.
  11. Bugger
  12. Ok, how about Middlesbrough 1997!
  13. I’ve got a 1974 omen
  14. Oh, thanks for the reminder.
  15. Well it's true he did have Mane, Pelle and Big Vic as the spine of the team, and VVD and Fonte for the whole season. Oh wait, didn't. Line up in May for the "boring" draw against United, basically the best line up he had available for the second half of the season: Forster Cédric Stephens Yoshida Targett Davis Romeu JWP Tadic Gabbiadini Redmond
  16. I did some digging, and all their last names are Jones. Could be a coincidence though.
  17. I've always been against the "would you take getting relegated but winning the cup?" But TWO cups wins and relegation? Given that we are odds on for going down anyway, I'd be very tempted to take that.
  18. Long term Covid effects possibly?
  19. I think Radio Solent mentioned it. Why would they pay him that? ... maybe because they are the idiots who chose him in the first place? Anyway, hopefully the figures are wrong, and he signed a contract that doesn't pay him more than a year if he's sacked.
  20. I don't. Not one bit. Allegedly on £4m per year for 3 years. So after he's sacked for being the worst PL manager in history he'll probably walk away with close to £10m, for a couple of months work of being an abject loser.
  21. My hope is we get a good rogering in both cups games, forcing the board to finally get rid of the Welsh Wigley before the trip to Goodison, and then get a new manager bounce win against Everton.
  22. Which one?
  23. Yes indeed. I wonder if he could come in as player-manager?
  24. I'd happily take that if it's what it takes for the muppets in charge to get rid of Nathan Wigley.
