  1. Yes, lazy is the wrong term. MP demands high tempo and heavy work rate - the shift Lallana put in last week is a perfect example - and I just don't think Gaston is suited to that. We need the team to play in units or the whole thing breaks down. Gaston may appear to some to be lazy because he doesn't join in with this style of play, but I wouldn't call him lazy, no. It is interesting however that neither manager seemed convinced he was able to play more than about 60 mins. I have wondered whether there is a questionmark over his natural fitness. This would of course be highlighted in a squad as fit as ours. He'll be a good player for some other team and I will not be sad to see him go. Best cash in now before his value falls further.
  2. Spot on and add to that an appauling temperament and disciplinary record for someone playing in that position. Opposition players know how to get the best of him. You simply can't let teams get the better of you so cheaply in the Prem. Now Osvaldo on the other hand has impressed me immensely with his temperament.
  3. I find a smidge of Vaseline around the bell is required if using the knob-sack instead of pants to prevent joggers-cock.
  4. Class act. Great signing. Imagine if we can keep the current first 11 and make another 3 additions as good as the 3 we brought in this Summer. All three this year have been very good upgrades.
  5. We only rode our luck in the second half, when a good Swansea team inevitably threw all they had at us. I thought we were excellent first half and on another day could have been 3-1 up by half time. I thought Lallana in particular was excellent first half. We looked a real threat going forward with soem excellent link-up play and to a large extent that was due to Swansea allowing us to play that way - playijng a high defensive line and not pressing our creative players enough. I thought Osvaldo looked sharp and the understanding between him and the others is coming on. Just wish they'd slipped him through sooner a couple of times when he'd made clever diagonal runs. Lambert was the only one who really looked off the pace to me, but we all know how important he is. Wanyama had an excellent game. His passing still isn't great but he really got stuck in yesterday and broke up a lot of Swansea's play. An absolute wrecking ball of a midfielder. Morgan had his best game for a while too. Perhaps the partnership is starting to get going. Lovren is different class. Can't think of a better in-form central defender in the Prem, nor a better keeper than Mad Artur.
  6. Can anyone think of a better goalkeeper in the Premier League at present? He's got is all - great shot-stopper, claims crosses, marshalls his defence, good distribution and his rushing out and closing down is insanely brilliant. John Hartson was raving about him on MOTD2 last night - said he was world class. On current form you can't argue with that.
  7. Post-sex fag after car sex with Keith Lemmon
  8. Having watched the Liverpool Swansea match a few weeks back I am confident that we can win.
  9. They were v complimentary. As I expected.
  10. Given that Lambo is 31 years old I reckon that's a pretty safe bet. Now, what would you do this year if you were manager?
  11. Still a little way behind Messi for me. That kid is seriously good.
  12. Thank buggery you aint manager
  13. Thought Osvaldo and Ramirez were on the same wavelength. Would be nice to see Lallana playing alongside those two also. Wanyama looked good and can pass as well as tackle, that's for sure. Time to bench J Rod and then perm any 2 from Lambert, Schneiderlin and JWP for the remaining midfield/forward positions. Fonte is doing enough to keep his place, Lovren looks an excellent buy. Chambers impresses me.
  14. Nope, not any part of the body but any part of the body that you can play the ball with. So if your arm is in an offside position but everything else is onside, you are onside.
  15. All clubs are looking to break into new markets. Most football liking lads in Britain find their team in their childhood (based on a mixture of geography, which team is doing well and family influence) and stick through life. There are lots of people in other countries who can be persuaded to make Saints their No.1 team or at least their No.1 English team. It's why we have focused on Japan. It's the reason why the Man Utd squad looks like a United Nations conference. It's no secret. We have done things a little differently. Nicola is smart. Just under half the world's 7bn population are women. That's 3.5bn. By building the worlds best looking team it may just persuade more women to support saints. Flicking through the Saints FB page tonight it became clear there is a lot of female love for Ossie. I expect to see the Megastore stocking the "Lovren Lovebomb", the "Ossie Ossilator" and the "Lambo double-header" just in time for Christmas - the perfect gifts for the discerning lady.
  16. Liverpool vs Stoke = 3-1 Arsenal vs Villa = 4-0 Norwich vs Everton = 1-1 Sunderland vs Fulham = 1-0 West Brom vs Saints = 2-2 West Ham vs Cardiff = 2-0 Swansea vs Man U = 1-2 Palace vs Spurs = 0-3 Chelsea vs Hull = 5-0 City vs Newcastle = 2-0
  17. I can't wait for tomorrow!!! Football's back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  18. Anyone sitting near the Saints dugout will tell you MP has a very good grasp of the English language. He's just toying with the WUMs and trolls.
  19. I would prefer Clyne or Yoshi at LB than Fox. Games he played last season he looked like he didnt have a clue. Wouldnt be surprised to see Cork get a few games at RB this season.
  20. I agree with that but granted I only saw him in the Confed Cup. Personally I think he was our best and most consistent CB last season. I think some people forget the rave reviews he begun to get from fans of other clubs. I think this is due to the fact that we play two very good combative deep lying central midfielders, the full-backs were told to stop making Kamakaze runs after about the first 10 games of the season and the front 4 at Saints are pretty good at holding on to the ball and pressuring the opponents. I will rate Yoshi on his performances for us, not Japan.
  21. Did Gaston kick the ball? Did he get frustrated and lose his rag?
  22. I fear for Rickie tomorrow, having to play with inferior players in an archaic set up. Expect it will spur him on to a hat-trick on Saturday.
  23. Some would say a rarity, others would say a knob.
  24. I don't agree with that at all. In fact if you consider the variety of his goals it is easy to see how he can get around 15 again. I wouldn't be surprised to see this: 5 penalties, 2 free-kicks, 4 headers and 4 shots including one or two belters. The man scores goals. He's done it at every level and unlike some who rely solely on pace, playing on the shoulder of the last man etc. he genuinely is able to conjur goals from just about any opportunity. A lot fo fans seem to forget how effective Lambert is until he actually plays.
