I would prefer Clyne or Yoshi at LB than Fox. Games he played last season he looked like he didnt have a clue. Wouldnt be surprised to see Cork get a few games at RB this season.

I agree with that but granted I only saw him in the Confed Cup. Personally I think he was our best and most consistent CB last season. I think some people forget the rave reviews he begun to get from fans of other clubs. I think this is due to the fact that we play two very good combative deep lying central midfielders, the full-backs were told to stop making Kamakaze runs after about the first 10 games of the season and the front 4 at Saints are pretty good at holding on to the ball and pressuring the opponents. I will rate Yoshi on his performances for us, not Japan.

I fear for Rickie tomorrow, having to play with inferior players in an archaic set up. Expect it will spur him on to a hat-trick on Saturday.

I don't agree with that at all. In fact if you consider the variety of his goals it is easy to see how he can get around 15 again. I wouldn't be surprised to see this: 5 penalties, 2 free-kicks, 4 headers and 4 shots including one or two belters. The man scores goals. He's done it at every level and unlike some who rely solely on pace, playing on the shoulder of the last man etc. he genuinely is able to conjur goals from just about any opportunity. A lot fo fans seem to forget how effective Lambert is until he actually plays.

Let's hope he doesn't pull out injured for this one and for every international for the next 15 years.

We dominated and looked very fit. Shaw looks like he's going to be outstanding this year (England call up by end of season I reckon). Mayuka was offside way too much. Celta looked poor. Pressing game looks like it's getting even more effective. Add a lethal striker and we can be very excited about the season ahead.

Not really. He's hands on with the football side and not just the company side. He's also a member of the transfer committee, so no, it makes perfect sense for him to be there. I'm told he also makes a wicked half time brew.

FFS he cant play 90 mins for club or country and he covers a fraction of the ground covered by the likes of cork and schneiderlin. Also has a terrible temperament and next year if he's here, you mark my words, opposing playing will be winding up left right and center until he snaps. Not a fan.

Been there, loved it and would go back. Stayed at an incredibly plush adult-only hotel full of honeymooners. We ate as much fillet steak and meat as we could and loads of gorgeous fresh fruit. You then step out of the resort and visit local shops and see locals collecting their rations for the week (small portion of chicken and no beef - beef is reserved for tourists and the government), get speaking to the barman and realise that at 21 years of age he makes several times more than his old man who is a doctor etc. It's a country like no other. Full of hipocracy, pride and colour. So glad I went before it changes.
