Hopefully they're just being super cautious with Turner. We don't want him being as injury prone as Archer (will we finally see him in the Hundred this year?) Anyway we're 85-1 at lunch and Orr has his first fifty for us. Hopefully he's getting to grips with the higher calibre of bowlers in D1 and goes on to find some form. Another low score for Middleton though

Just watched the highlights. Wtf was Jack Stephens doing being furthest forward (and offside!) for our first goal?? Great result, and hopefully gives us momentum for the playoffs. I'm sure someone has pointed this out already, but last time we beat Leeds it was the start of our longest ever unbeaten run. Here's hoping lightning strikes twice!

Shame to hear that and I suppose time will tell next season if we improve dramatically. She won the double in the third tier and kept us well within the top half the last couple of years so she did a great job imo
-
They've barely spent anything to get to the brink of the PL (apparently c£5m in the last two years). It's not like they are a lower league version of Man City
-
She's done a great job for us over the years. Hope the new role is her choice rather than the clubs
-
Disappointing that none of them are even on the bench...

Just saw a lovely shot on TV of Jason Wilcox enjoying watching his new team play 😂

Saints Women showing the men how it's done by scoring a second goal whilst in the ascendancy today! 2-0 against London City so far. 30 mins in

Nah. Armstrong got good contact but it was the perfect spot for the keeper to save it. Not saying it wasn't a decent save but no more than that imo. Armstrong should have given him no chance with his header

What's with the horrible camera angles on the live feed? I can barely see the ball at any point in time

Anyone think Lis might be the gk option for next season with Baz out? If not it would appear we literally only bought him to loan him to other SR clubs. I've never seen him play but he's kept lots of clean sheets this season, albeit in the Turkish 2nd league
-
Yeah it's been a depressing start to the season.... Hopefully we're at least good enough still to avoid being in a relegation fight. Otherwise looks like the one day formats are the chances for silverware once again
-
I'm not a McCarthy fan at all, but he is capable of putting in match winning performances. Something we've never seen from Baz sadly
-
I want the old Le Tiss back 😞
-
Openers are key. I'm hopeful Orr will turn out to be an inspired signing and that Middleton continues to develop. Great to see Prest in the runs as well
-
We dropped him on 30?! That was costly.... Not a great start for our openers this season. We're going to need to bat until tea tomorrow to salvage the game it seems
-
I still think there's a good chance he ends up at 'pool tbh. When managers announce they are leaving before the season ends their teams tend to drop off in intensity and results suffer, and obvs they have the opportunity to achieve something incredible! It's unlikely he can better this season, so strong argument to get out whilst his stock is highest, unless he's waiting for Madrid. Massive congrats Tella! A player we can be genuinely delighted for

I would not have guessed that in a million years!! Although now I know it does sound like him. Sounds like he has had a 40 a day habit since retiring though...

Who's co commentating on iFollow today?

Doing ok against Lancs so far today. Durham are having a mare though, given Warks are 380-1!! Shows how unlucky we were to have our game with them rained off in it's entirety
-
Reminds me of this goal "scored" against us by Saha all those years back https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kckbm78qiKU

Thanks for clarifying. Table I looked at had saints on 18 games still... Ah well maybe next year.
-
That makes it 6 points from last 5 games... This was a game we really should've been winning. Still, 4 points off top with a game in hand shows we're not out of it, but got to put a great run together now (sounds remarkably similar to the men's team ATM!)
-
Only us and Munich are more than a couple of points off top of our respective leagues in that table. Shows the importance of possession, but as has been pointed out we've been lacking in execution sadly...
