What about the four goals Bradford put past them last season? An incredible amazing performance from Saints. Rarely seen a better performance by a Saints team, who truly played for one another. Davis ran himself into the ground and actually played the entire game. Has to be his best ever game for the club. The ref was appalling but guess he was told of his abominal errors at half time as he definitely gave Saints better decisions. Only negative comment I have is about Romeu who is far too slow and his tackling is atrocious. He puts us under constant threat of ending up with 10 men.

Jan Transfer Window One Realistic Signing Who Would You Buy

Arsenal's French international right back Mathieu Debuchy seems to want a move in January as he's not getting games since return from injury. Being 30 years old hi experience and age would be ideal to allow development time for younger options. -
Anyone one catch Beattie slouching on the Swansea bench on Saturday. Looked a disgrace and his body language did nothing to show appreciation to Garry Monk for bringing him into their coaching team. No coincidence the Swans have slumped in form since Beatts arrived.

Just sick of Koeman's lack of imagination in his team selections for game we have to win. Out of interest where is Gazzaniga vanished to? Just knew Ramirez wouldn't be on the bench. Going to be really sick if we lose today's game.

The Julian Calendar replaced the ancient Roman Calendar in BC 45 by Julius Caesar's authority and his birthdate was thus calculated as the 12th of July. I thank VectisSaint for posting the classic methods used to calculate special dates. For many a year I have fallen back into using the modern habit of using the 13th and 15th of the month based on 30 days to a month. Even Gavin Davies warned of the Fed and the Ides of September back in the summer where he used today's date of the 16th of September as the date of warning for markets. http://blogs.ft.com/gavyndavies/2015/07/19/beware-the-fed-on-the-ides-of-september/

Ah, for once you agree with me. In Luke's case is is tragic seeing how well he has played in the past few weeks and how he has been struck down. He cannot say that I didn't warn him as he was about to sign for Man U. It was the wrong move and the wrong moment in time. His abandonment of Saints when he did was linked to his Karma and I told him would pay badly if he chose money and material comforts over not filling his current destiny with Saints. This was not to say he was not to move away in the future. Just it was the wrong moment in his destiny. Luke is born the 12th of July, and shares his birth date with Julius Caesar who met his destiny by ignoring the IDES of MARCH. (15th March) Yesterday, by strange coincidence was the IDES OF SEPTEMBER, the 15th of September. Indeed a rendezvous with destiny for poor Luke. My heart goes our to him, and know just how much this dreadful setback means to him. He has worked hard but has struggled against the tide due to his impatience to leave Saints. However like Caesar "HE CAME, HE HAS SEEN AND NOW HE WILL CONQUER" Wishing you a speedy recovery and a return stronger and even better in the future.

Steven Gerard in his book is providing proof that he abused his position as England Captain to tap up players, including ours. High time the club and other clubs hit back and took legal action on what he was up to. What her states living proof of why he should never have been England captain. He abused his position to blatantly tap up players on Liverpool's behalf. He has no integrity whatsoever and a truly despicable individual.

I watched the game on Sky Sports 1 and out supporters were loud and clear for most of the game. I cannot accept criticism of the away supporters when they do a magnificent job and the players constantly make reference to how much it helps their morale. I reckon the guy who posted this thread must have lost his sense of hearing due to an overindulgence of alcohol. Disgusted, like often, how the likes of Saint Charlie jumped on the topic bandwagon instead of showing some support for our away fans who do a magnificent job every away game.

An interesting Website with a collection of links to all games and more. http://weblinks.altervista.org/SPTV.htm

Definitely not Saints related. more Saints hated All but 5 against minnow countries. Equivalent of Le Tiss scoring against the likes of Eastleigh instead of the best sides in the land.

He's a really top guy and have followed him on Twitter. Class how he's reacted to his accident. Am full of admiration. Tyrone Mings @OfficialTM_3 9h9 hours ago Very tough pill to swallow ... But I've been through tougher, it's only a knee at the end of the day. I'll be back

Kevin has always been a fantastic guy and great player in my eyes. The way he has played and how he's lived his life since leaving Saints prove what an immensely misunderstood guy he was. Besides playing to the highest levels, he married and raised three gorgeous kids in the manner of the perfect father. Out of the game, Kev and Emma give hours of their time to charities to help less fortunate kids and elderly people. He is a shining Ambassador to the game and a tremendous role model to other players on how one can plough back into the gameone's talent and experience . He has become one of the foremost opinions of the game and shows he's not just a pretty face. I'd like to thank Kevin for all he did for Saints, and. hope he doesn't look back at how poorly he was treated and misunderstood by Gordon Strachan in his final two years at the club. Far from encouraging him and building up his confidence Strachan ridiculed and drove away all the talent Kevin showed from an early age. Kevin, I salute you, remain as proud of you as ever, and wish you all the luck with the many ingenious plans you have for your retirement. You have risen above all your critics and shown yourself to be, one hell of a loving, caring and talented guy.

Fantastic news seeing our new signing has been drafted into the Holland squad that plays Turkey. Seems his arrival has had positive results.

The fact that Levy didn't back the deals that Pochettino wanted with decent offers, is surely an indication that Pochettino is going to be under immense pressure to produce in the coming months. For some reason Levy held back on paying silly money where one would have expected him to back Pochettino to the hilt if he really believed Mauricio was going to produce. We may get the laugh laugh yet.

Koeman has just said on NBC Sports Wanyama is neither physically or mentally fit to play. That he will have more to say after the game on the Wanyama situation. He looked content and relaxed for the first time for ages, maybe due to incoming player news.
-
Prevent him leaving and his presence will destroy the entire squad. It is clear Wanyama is the source of our recent lost of form.

Maarten Stekelenburg's wearing of BLUE, colors of our greatest and ancient rivals from the Farton Dust Bowl, has brought a curse upon our season. When, in all the clubs history, has a goalkeeper paraded in Pompey colors? It is an enormous insult to every Saints Supporter and makes us the laughing stock with the Blue Few.. Just as the burying of Pompey shirts by construction workers beneath the hallowed turf at St Mary's brought a curse on our first season at the Stadium, so Stekelenburg is bringing a hoodoo on our season. I can't believe it's been left up to me to bring this to the attention of the Club, the manager, the player and all the supporters. True supporters are failing our heritage big time. I hope last night was the last time Stekelenburg appears wearing BLUE.

Could Jan Poortvliet or Marc Wotte have done any worse in the way of team selection, tactics and overall game plan than Ronald Koeman did tonight or has done over the past few months? He lost it months ago, has reduced the standard of players that play for the club, by allowing the likes of Reed to go for cheap options and not giving players like Harrison Reed the games he needs to improve his game. Not once did Reed ever let the side down like those on the pitch tonight did. Doubt even Ramirez brought on for 20 minutes would have done any worse than Long and others did. Sadly Koeman will never turn things around. He's lost the belief in his infallibility where the players are concerned. His after match interview makes LVG appear sane. He can no longer see or face the reality of how things are and this is only going to bring ruin to the club s it stands. His success last year was based on Pochettino's game. Once he began to influence things more and more, the more and more we could no longer get results. Now he's lost at sea without a rudder or a sail. Wanyama, for me, can bu gger of to Spurs. He's a shadow of the player he can be and has had no heart in playing for Southampton Football Club. If they want to go, then let them. By forcing them to stay one bad apple will rot the entire crop. Interestingly, the Mirror saw a different game from the majority of us on here. Martina and JWP were our best players. Southampton (5-3-2): Stekelenburg 6; Martina 7, Fonte 5, Caulker 6 (Tadic 56, 5), Yoshida 5, Targett 6; Romeu 5, S Davis 5 (Juanmi 83, 6), Ward-Prowse 7; Pelle 5, Rodriguez 6 (Long 76, 6) Subs: K Davis, Cedric, Reed, Mane *** When has a Saints goalie ever played in Pompey colors? It's a disgrace to see a Saints keeper wearing blue every game. A true insult to us all.

I give up. Fookin' Les Reed is in Denmark at the game. How the hell does he hope to sign anyone unless it's one of their players.
-
Not read most of the thread and don't know if this has been mentioned previously. Just been told by a friend who is daughter of a Celtic Board Member that Celtic are entitled to 2.5 million if Wanyama is sold on. She reckons the VVD deal is done and will be announced Wednesday at the latest.

Could Ramirez do any worse than those playing today. Time for Ramirez to step up and earn his keep. Sadly don't think Ron has any faith in the guy at all

Come next Thursday, if we don't go through, I can;t see any new players. If fact we may be off loading a number on loan. Thought Wanyama was absolutely crap tonight. Hardly connected with any Saints player. His passing was awful. Thought Targett really progressed tonight and every cross connected with a Saints player. People are going to east their snide remarks about him before long. His confidence is growing. I won't state the obvious, we're all too award of what lies ahead.
