  1. Theres a solution to that Beatles, dont bother looking at twitter. Works for me.
  2. Hang on a minute, I'm sure I heard Savage say on 5-live that we wouldn't get auto, and quite recently. The main time I usually hear him is on the post-match saturday phone-in so it was most likely on there, and I'm near certain he said exactly what saints is the south suggested. Plus, I agree with Jeff the hackie, Claridge did look sick to his stomach on the FL show.
  3. To those just back from the game, hats off for another terrific display of support. When I put solent on to catch what I could in the van, I honestly thought "hang on, I thought we were away today"
  4. Thats delicately put, and I couldnt agree more
  5. Is this a confession?
  6. ...and thats all you have to say bletchy? ffs, put some effort in man!! lofl, btw
  7. tbh kraken, I dont think we're supposed to understand it. The nearest I ever got to any sort of plausible conceptualizing of this stuff was from a quantum physics expert I used to do some work for. he was a lecturer based at Soton Uni. I saw him every six months or so for about twenty years, we became quite friendly, and as often as not we would go for a pub lunch after I'd done his maintenance stuff. He's dead now, I still have a couple of his books that his wife gave me after he died. What fascinated me was that the job I did was in his study, there were shelves of technical books about the quantum stuff, but they were interspersed with textbooks and reference books on every religion and belief system you could ever think of. I asked him over lunch once, how does all that square with what you know about quantum mechanics, surely you're a scientist and you wouldn't believe any of that? He said "its possible. Any of them. And if its possible, it either has happened, is happening, or is going to happen." I have never made sense of his books, but he told me they have already proved the existence of particles which can exist at the same time in two separate places, which suggested to him an entire set of dimensions in which our concept of time, distance and space are utterly irrelevant. There was supposedly a "singularity" which resulted in the big bang, but it literally expanded into a void; there was nothing there, no space for it to expand into and no matter to affect it once it had exploded. Thats as far as I've got with it, as you say my brain starts to hurt as well.
  8. You're not alone in that view.
  9. I have to admit that while a win over the skates would have been fantastic, I was far more interested in the three points.
  10. ...somewhat unsporting, but I have to agree with the sentiment. Especially after losing Morgan 5 minutes into todays game.
  11. I'm with Tom on this one. We should restrict ticket sales to fans who have achieved grade 8 or higher at music, and give them all scores/librettos. That would get the singing sorted once and for all
  12. The way I saw that chance was he got himself into a great position, got closed down very quickly indeed, and decided a squared ball across the box was the better option in the not unreasonable expectation that we ought to have at least one striker steaming in. Think its a bit harsh to criticise too severely myself. With that wonderful thing that is hindsight, he should have shot.
  13. Suggestion for the mods; that swear filters going to overheat shortly, open a window.
  14. tbh, I cant see anything but.
  15. f*cking hell.
  16. Not sure if I can take another 45 minutes of this. I'm sweating already.
  17. For future reference bridgey, ive always found the reply "but if you loved me, you wouldn't make me choose" to be quite reliable.
  18. I was hoping for a bit of slack to get handed over today. How wrong could I be, tomorrow looks even more massive now than it did 4 hours ago.

    Ex-Smokers

My mrs quit by default. She had a really bad chest infection and wound up coughing so hard she cracked a rib. Well that was so painful she had trouble inhaling at all, let alone drawing on a fag. Six weeks later she had recovered, but decided against going back on the nails again.
  20. tbh turks, I dont think thats the case. Heard her on the radio this morning, she sounded deadly serious, if its a wind up she ought to go into acting or politics.
  21. I did read what you posted, "very, very naive.", which was in response to a comment I made suggesting that the primary concern of Cortese and the Liebherrs was probably not purely financial, and that the club and management had already stated that on numerous occasions. The thread was based on the suggestion that the club would be sold to new owners when it's value increased as a result of our (hopefully) impending promotion to the premier league. You then took issue with the idea that we play any different style of football to other teams, and several posters disagreed with you. I don't see how that makes me particularly thick.
  22. "Illiterate"? I think not. You spent some time recently on the "Saints for sale" thread trying to argue the case, and suggesting Cortese was lining us up to be sold when we achieved prem status. I disagreed with you, along with some others on here. That was before the club statement which pretty much dismissed the idea.
  23. Copied from another, somewhat less salubrious website: The article she wrote is breathtakingly arrogant and she is a monumental c*nt with an ego and sense of self importance that is truly unbeleivable. The hatred for her on the internet and pretty much everywhere else is unlike any ive ever seen, nor has it ever been quite so justified. I wouldnt mind, but she looks as though she's been smashed in the face with an abnormally large shovel. Horrible horrible **** Cant argue that, tbh
