Sorry but this is without a doubt one of the biggest pieces of ******** i have read on here..... So based on what happened in the summer and going into the 2nd game of the season you could predict Saints getting to the playoffs and anyone who didn't think they could was "bores"? what are you mystic meg? Get real The team that was playing at the start of this season was not the team who played in the last 2 games. In fact only 3 outfield players remain in the squad from the start of the season.... Go figure how that team would of got to the playoffs, personally i think they had relegation written all over them. I would say anyone who expected the playoffs with that team was living in a fantasy world. As people kept telling people such as you this was a season of building. While the mongs were cutting their wrists over our 1st 8 games or so we were telling them to get a grip because the positives were there for all to see. So to say it is "instant" success really is a load of ******** because it hasen't been instant success. It has been something that has taken time and with each new brick added to the foundation we have become stronger and stronger. The people were saying be patient and some people didn't want to believe that. Choosing to bash the team at every oportunity. It is like this Leeds comparison that you keep bringing out. We are not Leeds and this season is a lot harder then that season. This league is as tough as it has ever been this year. In that season of which you like to compare to us Leeds got 91 points that year. This year even with all the preperation and momentum they have had since then i doubt they will get to that figure. The league has a lot of good teams in it now such as Norwich,Charlton,Huddersfield,Colchester,Millwall and Swindon (of course us too) all of which have decent managers and decent players. If you put is in League one with this team in 2007 we would of done the same as Leeds no doubt about it. I for one am happy to be proven right that it has taken time and it needed to take time. 6 months on and we have the right set up at this club not just on the pitch but the staff behind the pitch, the coaching staff that do not get mentioned much have made a huge difference. The players are actually fit now and Lambert and Lallana are proof of that with the amount of time they have been playing and being consistent. How would your supposed playoff team at the start of the season with the amazing strike force of Saga and Patterson have done? As i said, load of ********.

Great game and great performance by the lads again. In just 4 days we scored nearly 25% of the goals total we had for last season. I think this finally puts the final nail in the mongs coffin. If anyone criticises the team, manager, players etc now should be banned. In form guide we now sit 3rd overall and 1st based on home form.

Or which is more likely in my opinion He didn't like the start of the interview where they say it must be a good result after the dissapointing game against Wycombe? If you had just thrashed a team it is a bit dumb to bring up ghosts of games past. Im pretty certain that is what it was. This whole NC is not happy with Pardew thing i think just like this thread is pure speculation and as always people have let their imagination run wild with them. NC strikes me as a clever guy, someone who is succesful in business. I think he will see what we have done this season thus far as a success.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/leagues/premierleague/portsmouth/7346808/Portsmouth-owner-Balram-Chainrai-faces-HMRC-probe-into-clubs-administration-move.html Basically saying HMRC want to layeth the Smackdown on Chainrai
-
I think this thread is a fine example of how we can make something out of nothing. 8 pages of ******** basically
-
So what actually happens then at this court hearing? Is it to see if they can or can't go into admin? If they can't then i guess that means they get liquidated? Either way think it is pretty safe to assume HMRC won't be signing the CVA which means more points deductions next season.

BBC says STOP playing ps3! http://news.bbc.co.uk/newsbeat/hi/technology/newsid_10050000/newsid_10058900/10058914.stm
-
Yeah probably wise to not switch it on if you don't have a slim version. What i don't get is how are they going to fix those ps3's that are not connected to the internet which will be millions and millions. A lot of people still don't even have the internet so a simple download to a usb would not work unless you get it from a mates house or something.
-
Ah well, i guess that prooves once and for all then that live is better simply because they have **** loads of people to work on stuff like that. PSN is free so in terms of going online and playing games or using any of those things you can't really complain. But the fact it has basically bricked my PS3 meaning i can't even play any games offline is pretty bad. As someone else mentioned on one of those news pieces it makes you wonder what else could be in the system that could go wrong, that whole PS3 is faultless bubble has well and truely been burst. Let's just hope they bring it back up soon as i want to play heavy rain before the mrs gives me a list of things to do!
-
Well didnt take long for the downfall video to come out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cu-vdhgkC6o&feature=player_embedded# haha
-
Yeah that is a pretty huge feck up right there. So if the offline consoles that have never even been connected to the net have the problem then that must mean it is something built into the consoles from when they were made. Lots of people saying they might have to do a mass recall but i think that is probably going to be ********. But then again it has been a day almost, so maybe it isn't so simple to fix.
-
The Guardian reporting that people have lost saved games and trophies etc and even PS3's that have never been connected to the internet have the same problem http://www.guardian.co.uk/technology/gamesblog/2010/mar/01/games-sony Did not realise how big a problem this was
-
Ah right, i was just reading on a Kotaku site which a few posters mention they have the problem with their slim. They did a bit of investigating and this is the problem "The going theory is that the PS3 is storing some form of date in GMT, then modifying that to get whatever you see in the on-screen clock. That modification process seems to be fine--the system can take 2/28/2010, 9PM GMT, add four hours, and get 3/1/2010, 1AM random time zone. What's apparently effed, as speculation goes, is when the internal GMT-tracking rolls over to 3/1. It's either not rolling, or rolling to 2/29, at which point a system tries to add/subtract from 2/29, which it can't do because the front-end calendar doesn't have a 2/29/2010, and **** explodes. Seemed to happen around 4PM PDT, which I think is 12AM GMT, so. And the PS3 launched in 2006; it's hit 4 2/28s so far. 2007 and 2009 were odd-numbered years; 2008 was an even, and a leap year. 2010 is the first even non-leap-year the system's been around for. If some sort of base-level math is choking on itself, it may have ruled out the odd 2007 and 2009 successfully, but is convinced the even 2010 is a leap year (this part I'm less sure of, but is why leap year could theoretically come into play at some point.) from SRK. So all I know is, the bizarre date has caused the anti-piracy measures to kick in, screwing you out of most PS3 titles. PS1/PS2 physical games should still work. Not PSN, though. and us.playstation.com wasn't really hacked, either. Sorry to all of you who are worked up about this, but I find it kinda exciting. Sucks if this is permanent, though" So basically they fooked up on the memory or something
-
Seems like it is affecting all the types of PS3's then and not just the old ones. If that update has killed my PS3 with 3 days until i get Bad Company 2 i will not be a happy camper!
-
I been trying to play it today but have the error 8001050F which is ****ing me off as says i need an update to play. Won't login to PSN at all. Thankfully seems im not alone in it though.
-
haha funny
-
Ah well almost 24hrs later and looks like all those "who knew something" were once again talking ********
-
You would be surprised how difficult it really is to get players to play as a team. You can have and spend all the money in the world but that does not always mean success, in fact a lot of the time it goes the other way. In our relegation year we spent the 8th most of the PL teams, we didn't finish 8th. I think i remember reading something Bobby Robson said where he said something like "you can put a price tag on a player, but you can't put a price tag on his attitude, finding players who want to knuckle down and do well becomes more and more difficult with the more money involved". Think his point was that buying a player for millions is easy, getting that player to play is something else. Think we can safely say Pardew has got the far majority of his signings playing.
-
This will be a very very hard game We currently have the best home form and they currently have the best away form. Something will have to give. If we play like we did against Norwich we should win. If we don't win then think that is our playoff chances over with.

I got an 18month contract from mobiles.co.uk for an o2 phone, at £30 a month for i think 600 mins unlimited texts and if i recall right about £1 a day worth of mobile internet. Before i agreed i went to topcashback and got around £100 cashback from that and then £250 cashback from the actual contract (and a Nokia phone) and bought myself a new tv But there are some decent places out there now. If you want a PS3 for example Mobiles have a deal where if you pay £30 a month your get a blackburry phone and a PS3 slim with the new batman game http://www.mobiles.co.uk/vodafone-blackberry-8520-curve.html Think that is a pretty good deal. My contract ran out a couple months ago and i upgraded to an Iphone.
-
Also another stat for TDD Played 43 games Won 23 games Drawn 12 games Lost 8 games. And 2 of those losses were to PL teams. I guess a win ratio of over 50% (nearly double the win ratio of Strachan) is "alright"?
-
In your opinion TDD In my opinion i think he has fought against the odds. If we roll back to just before the first game we had just come out of admin, had god awful players of which only 4 players now remain. The team prior to that was destined for relegation make no doubts about it. We had no pre-season and we had next to no non playing staff, no coaches, no scouts etc.. Pardew has come in and changed every single department by bringing in the right people behind the scenes who have made a huge difference. At least compared to what we are used to. Add to that the -10 points deduction. In those 6 months he has turned the club around, we played something like 15 cup games of which losing just 2, have a cup final at Wembley to look forward to, the first time this club has been to Wembley since 1993, 17 years ago. He has brought in each of those players out there and they are playing very well. I bet half of those players you probably never even heard of before they were here. I could go on for days. So no TDD he has done very very well, better then any of our recent managers.
-
I think those fans that witnessed the last 2 seasons first hand will appreciate what he is doing but more importantly what he has done. We are one of the in form teams (best home record) and the players are playing with class. The guy has turned around a shell of a club filled with gutless players with next to zero talent into a team chasing promotion. To even be thinking he might have been pushed is just sickening because the worst thing that could happen to this club is we bail from stability not even after 6 months. It would be terrible to see us go the route of clubs like QPR who change managers quickly because the backroom staff get involved. AP has done a great job.
