of the 7 most expensive for tickets 4 are from the South and 2 are more expensive then us. When you look at it like that makes me feel slightly better about my ticket cost!

The times have us at 16th right? This was their predictions for the 09/10 season http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/football/football_league/article6736633.ece As we all know that was the year Newcastle were in the league and they eventually finished 1st. Where did the times have them to finish? 20th....... They had Sheffield United to win it and Middlesborugh to finish 2nd...... They had Peterborough to finish 13th..... (they were last, 15 points adrift of everyone) The Telegraph for the same year had Blackpool down http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/competitions/championship/5955980/The-Championship-team-by-team-guide-to-the-2009-10-season.html They went on to go to the PL.... Point is the race will never be as easy as saying "the big clubs will do well, the little clubs will go down, the teams that just came up will struggle and the teams that came down from the PL will bounce straight back up". If teams like Norwich,Millwall and Leeds all came up and had a good year then why can't we? Last year we were the 2nd best team in regards to goals scored against us in all the leagues. Only QPR let in less goals. But yet now we have a poor defence?? Sure Jaidi is a year older but saying we will leak goals is a tad ott. Because of the amount of breaks we will get due to international games i think Jaidi will be alright. Won't have to play twice a week that much at all. Sure i'd like a new CB to partner Fonte but if we don't get one i wouldn't be too worried. If the press want to make us in some cases the underdogs then i think that is good because it means the pressure on us is not so high. But i think as time goes by and we are on tv every month they will start to see how good a side we really are.

Well a lot of people might of thought they would do the whole itv thing and have breaks. So for them to confirm it won't is pretty good in my book. Sky get a bad rep from people but personally i quite like it. I have the choice of paying for it or not. Unlike the BBC of course.

On the sky website they say it will be live and advert free. As a sky customer it obviously makes no difference to me.

I am not quite sure what you mean with this comparison. Are you saying travellers are the same as 17/18 year old kids? If these people ruined the house surely they would have their deposits taken away and have a really awful reference when trying to get a house the following term? Say there is 6 people in the house all with around £1000 deposit. That would be enough to clean up the mess i am sure. The point you seem to miss in regards to the damage to the land is that there is no deposit, the repairs have to be paid for by the owner. In this instance the repairs cost about £2000. On top of that they damaged a ladies drive which had to be fixed for around £500. She is almost 80 years old and has little money. So if me and the boys rolled up to your house and did £2000 worth of damage to the place you would be as "understanding" as you try and make out you are on here? I very much doubt you would be. -

Ok i thought for awhile if i should post it but fook it i think i will seeing as we have a few defending them on here. These travellers moved into one of the fields near ours in curdridge. One of the ones on the left as if your on your way to Botley from Bishops Waltham. The field they moved into was a really well kept field. Had some very nice horse stables next to it. The owner clearly looked after it as the hedges were trimmed and the grass was cut. When they left the owner went into his field to find the gate ripped off, fences ripped up and used for fire, brick and rubble dumped in a corner. Litter on the ground, in hedges and pretty much everywhere, needles thrown on the floor, trees cut down and the best bit of all lot's of human **** and **** to clean up. Now i got nothing against travellers. It is nothing to do with race, where they come from, their background etc.... what i have a problem with is that a bunch of people think they can cruise around and rip off your gate and then move in. It is like you coming home from work one-day to find your door kicked in, your porch door missing and loads of strangers in your house who when asked to leave tell you to **** off. You obviously then go to the cops who say you have to wait for an eviction order. And finally about a week later when that comes through and they have moved on your left with a totally ****ed house which you have to pay to fix. The way i see it these people should be arrested. They are breaking and entering and in some cases stealling items from the place. When they were moved on from Curdridge they went a few miles up the road to Shedfield. While there they might have broke into an industrial unit and stole some machinary including a friends motorbike that was stored there. He tells me that they have the people who stole it caught on cctv and the police are "investigating". On this video it shows how they got into the building. They cut through the fence wires, broke the door off its hinges and simply walked inside. Now it might not be them but it would be huge coincidence that it happens while these people are right next to it. Especially considering it has never happened before. They have now been moved on from Shedfield and a policeman told that friend they think they are now heading to Hayling Island. Now the thing is it is actually ilegal now in Ireland to do what they do. They would be arrested. Eventually the same law will come in here and you have to say it can't come soon enough. As far as i am concerned i have no sympathy for people who break into properties by ripping off the gates then setting up blockades to stop people getting in. Then ask for respect when they are there. The people who want to travel about and just live off the land (without being dodgy) then i can understand why they would want to do that. Sounds fun. But sadly in this day and age you can't do it. You have to have your own land to do that. There are a lot of decent travellers too don't get me wrong. I am talking about the groups who think just moving into any old field without permission is ok. -
To give you an idea of what the bookies have for us To be relegated = around 20/1 which means they think 20 teams stand more of a chance then us of being relegated To be promoted = around 5/1 it was 8/1 a couple of weeks ago. Anyways that would put us 5th fav to be promoted. http://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/championship/promotion To win the league = 4/1 joint 4th fav to win the legue I think saying stuff like avoiding relegation is our goal is a tad bit unrealistic.....

how do you know when your sub is due for renewal?

I think you have to look at it like this Put teams into certain brackets 1st group = teams who have strong squads and should be going for the title West Ham Leicester 2nd group = teams who have a good squad and should be in the mix for an auto spot/playoff spot Forrest Reading Leeds Cardiff 3rd group = teams who have good squads and could be pressing for a playoff spot Saints Middlesbrough Blackpool Burnley Birmingham (if they manage to keep their players) 4th group = teams with average squads who will be around midtable Millwall Hull Ipswich Brighton Watford 6th group = teams who would be battling to survival. Staying up is minimum expectation. Bristol City Portsmouth Derby Coventry Palace Peterborough Doncaster Barnsley Looking at it like that i think playoff chasing spot is the most we should expect. In the top 8 i think would be a decent season back in the championship. Anything below top 10 i would say would have seen us underachive.

"Adkins is the best manager we have had since Strachan"
St Marco replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
I think thus far you can't really judge him. He did really well last year make no mistake about it but he came into a team with the players already there. All the ground work was already done. His job where he will be judged started at the end of last season. Pardew built a dead club into a league one promotion chasing club. Adkins has to now change that league one promotion chasing side into a promotion to the premier league side. -

The difference is people like Hypo then go on to actually believe the negative rumour and try and use it as a stick to beat the club with. Even when it isn't true. It is true that negative ones get dealt with differently then positive ones but that is just natural. As a club we are more used to being negative with all the crap that has happened. It is harder for us to accept the good times as we think there will be some implosion sooner or later which will take us back into the bad times. The sad thing is that some people (i don't think the9 is one of them) seem like they will do anything to try and create that implosion. They are only happy when things are going wrong. They want to be able to say they were right all along, it is about point scoring. And thus i wonder if they really are supporters at all because you don't see much support from them. The reality is if you say something bad about someone you will be treated differently then if you say something positive about them. If you basically lie and make up something that changes peoples perception of someone (or attempt to) then they deserve to be called out on it. And i think this is why people are annoyed because those kinda things have happened a lot over the last couple of years. Stories with no evidence to back them up but yet must be taken as gospel. My mate Dave knew someone at the chippy who said his friend Steve saw Cortese take a **** on the fa cup winning squad photo in the boardroom, Cortese doesn't like legends apparently! Stuff like that, you know it is bull****.

Looked great, well done Mike! Hopefully will be used at Leeds game too to get shown on the box.

No surprises here really as was just a matter of time. The whole binge drinking thing will always catch up with you in the end. She was a great talent though, won 5 grammy's. Sad, but not surprised.

Yep. Defender at the back is what we need now. A pacey striker would be good too. In the clips he reminds me of Robben a little bit for some reason.

Bf2 is quite old now (2005) but still has a huge community. Can probably get it cheap nowdays too. But i'd say give it a skip as it isn't really important that you have played it. Maybe pick up Battlefield bad company 2 which came out a year or so ago. Great game and will give you an idea of what to expect. The difference between Battlefield and Call of Duty is that one is arcade and one is simulation. They are both good games but you have to play them differently. COD is more about quick run and gun fire fights. Dying means nothing, can spawn all over the place and get back to killing each other! Where as Battlefield is more slower pace which builds up into fierce battles. Because the maps are massive. That is why it is called Battlefield. You can do the run and gun if you like and you might have some success but it is more about being patient and using your brain. In COD the point of it is really to kill as many people as possible. People want to get to the top of the kill charts so they think more selfish. In BF it isn't about kills as such, it is about taking certain areas of the map or destroying certain things and then holding it. Or one defending and the other assaulting. To get from one side of the map to the other can take sometime. This gives you the ability to play many different game styles. You can be a sniper and try and get into enemy teritory unseen. Or be a squad of bad ass's flying around in a chopper jumping out behind enemy lines trying to capture a building/area/flag etc. You could take a tank, a boat, a jeep, or if your good with vehicles a fighter jet and so on. Flying is not easy though as can get taken down by enemy planes. As i say they are both good games but for me personally i am not interested in kill counts and stuff like that. For me Battlefield has been a lot more fun.

He looks great on youtube. Some awesome goals there. Looks very comfortable with the ball at his feet. Nickname maybe should be The Red and White Knight? ©

Altogether now Who??

At the end of the day it is a lot of money. But it is a different time from when Lowe was here. If we were not bankrolled by Markus and his family then obviously nobody would be getting a salary like that. But if you think about what has happened in the past 2 years and try and put a value on it i would say 600k for a day at wembley, a trophy and a promotion is pretty good value.

New Multi-player trailer. Looks great.

He is alright. Only made 7 games last year though and scored 2. Think he was injured for the most of it. £2m does seem a bit much for him but he scored goal of the month when he was in the prem (3.35) He is more of a provider then a scorer, big strong lad.

Those dirty bastards down the road have put a £2m bid in for Paterson Sky say.... http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11688_7052452,00.html
