  1. also the audio is so quiet. i switched to 5 live extra to listen to commentary as audio much clearer and greater volume. my speakers were set to max for SP and still quiet.
  2. not a fan of the diamond formation but the orthodox 4 across the middle is simply not working and we seem to have played better of late when reverting to the diamond. The diamond only works if the full backs push on and support like they did in the 2nd half v cardiff. subs bart harding falque/chaplow sdr lee/connolly guly and hammond need a kick up the arse as they are simply pulling their weight at the moment. guly cant trap a bag of cement and hammond is not showing captain qaulities at present and doesnt offer anything else.
  3. The team doesn't seem to know what it is being asked of them. Start of the season we had a set tempo and style of play. Now we hav been worked out we don't hav the answers. Adkins has to take responsibility for that. Lack of effort players are accountable which was evident in 1st half but 2nd half highlighted the lack of tactical leadership. Hammond and chaplow awful. Chaplow can be partially excused but hammond was captain missing tonight. If he can't drive team on then the others won't either. Full backs once again totally inept at tracking runs. A lot of long punts fwd as well which is a classic sign of a team lacking leadership and direction. Adkins needs to sort this out before its too late. The belief and team spirit is fading away more and more with each game.
  4. i would go with the following bart frazer fonte martin harding chaplow hammond puncheon sdr guly lee subs davis stephens jaidi lambert reeves holmes JWP
  5. they have since edited the article and removed that part. that will answer the question whether or not he is eligible for game.
  6. chappers and lee will both start http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2600954,00.html? OS says sharp may play some part! i thought he wasn't legible as he wasnt signed in time for previous game?
  7. Pretty confident Hammond will start, most likely with Cork. Morgan was pants the other night although Cork wasn't much better. Earlier in the Season Adkins rotated these three in that each would typically play two games then sit one out. I expect midfield to be Hammond, Cork, Puncheon and Lallana
  8. Maybe our away form will be the catalyst for promotion push and we scrape some home wins. I think at home teams have worked us out and we struggle to break teams down but on the road teams play to their own strengths which may benefit us. Not sure if we can leave wings so exposed away from home like we did tonight so play 4 across middle but have lallana and punch rotating sides. Rigid 4 across middle may be ok away from home as teams will come at us more.
  9. dare i say worst than leicester performance. teams have worked us out.
  10. midfield hopeless. cork and morgan have been pants
  11. I think everyone has forgotten his debut
  12. upson is not first choice no more at stoke and it was reported he is unhappy at lack of first team action. i think he been on the bench for last few games.
  13. I think Sharp will be good acquisition to help our promotion charge but IMO he is not good enough to play in the premiership. I think the problem is that Adkins has the same opinion and cortesi maybe reluctant to spend on a player that could be redundant next season. sharp deal could be sown up now but I get the feeling adkins really wants "top drawer" striker. danger with this is that sharp will loose patience and join reading or stay at donny. to get "top drawer" you have to pay top draw wages which cortesi appears reluctant to do.
  14. There is no way adkins would keep persisting unless hooper has given him encouragement. Hooper maybe reluctant to hand in transfer request due to financial reasons so is relying on celtic to accept offer with out him forcing the move. It could be that hooper knows what celtic will take to sell and saints are doing there usual hard ball tactics. it does seem odd how we won't go away so maybe something will happen. Who knows but monday is likely to be the day as I can't see us taking focus away from cardiff game on tuesday which is a huge game
  15. just listened to latest adkins interview on SP. Ref transfers he said "watch this space" and that we have got ourselves in a great position ahead of schedule but we need to grasp it. sounds positive to me.
  16. also at the time said forte would probably go out on loan. so maybe a striker deal is being tied up this weekend.
  17. whoops - puncheon to replace falque then. SDR to go upfront with puncheon on wing.
  18. dont think fonte, hooiveld, lallana or connolly will be involved. chaplow maybe on bench at best. bart frazer Martin Fox harding SDR Hammond Morgan/Cork Holmes Falque Lambert subs davis butterfield morgan/cork chaplow puncheon guly lee
  19. there has been very little said about lallana's injury. the thought has crossed my mind his injury is long term therefore saints decided to make peace with puncheon rather than go out and spend on a new player. could be totally wrong but the fact it has been quiet about lallana injury status plus lallana hasn't tweeted for a few days which is not like him makes me think there is more to it.
  20. yes because Cardiff have no history of bottling it:rolleyes:
  21. Still not confident with rickie coming back. Midfield is the main problem. No spark or variety from our one paced trio of cork, hammond and morgan. If rickie on song we will be a whole lot better but if he is slightly off colour I fear it will be much the same as the other night. We aren't a one man team but rickie is pinnacle to our style with out him midfielders are pretty clueless. Let's hope rickie is fresh and raring to go.
  22. when were the accounts published then? I dont recall seeing them for quite some time. Last ones I remember was the unpaid tax bill of £7m i think but the due date hadnt surpassed at that point for which cortesi said it would be paid on time.
  23. Fans pay good money to go and watch and if team shows lack of desire and passion then that is unacceptable and fans have every right to voice their disapproval. Fans can accept losing but to not at least give it a go is inexcusable. I can guarantee had the players showed some mettle and tried taking game to leicester there would have been no booing.
  24. I wonder if this means he is going to start? Think maybe he will go with SDR just on the basis SDR was playing well before injury and maybe unsure of chucking Falque straight in.
  25. Most clubs won't touch him with a barge pole as he lacks professionalism and his attitude stinks. By having a pop at his employer and people who pay his wages (fans) he has burned all his bridges. I actually think he has a chemical imbalance in that big head of his. He is the clown not fans!
