  1. really important to win this one. we need to improve our away form and if we fail to beat the bottom team then it hardly installs confidence for the remaining away games. cant rely on our home form and a few sparse wins on the road. west ham away form is very good and home form is on the up so we need to pull our finger out when playing away.
  2. Yes but it hasnt opened up to fans on database - only fans who attended 4 or more away games plus STH's. Due to the travel arrangements and being on TV we are limiting ourselves to who we are selling tickets to.
  3. At home we can get away with having an unorthodox midfield but away from home I would like to see us playing a bit more rigid. We are not good enough defensively to cope when flanks exposed. That said its not like any team has played us off the park. This is probably our 1st deserved defeat so the outlook is bright. I think we can expect sdr to start tues on right with morgan and cork in the middle.
  4. My late grandad actually supported by saints and portsmouth. in his younger years he would go to both the dell and fratton park. he lived in sarisbury green so i guess he felt in the middle of the divide. i live in portchester myself but was born and bred in southampton so obviously support saints. my mrs and family are from portsmouth and "support" portsmouth. when I say support i mean they watched the fa cup final. it will be paradise if we beat them next month but hell on earth if we lose. i will go in to hiding until april if that happens lol
  5. echo reporting that we are interested in taking him on loan this week with view to a perm deal in January. http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/9376436.Sky_Blue_Lukas_on_Saints_hit_list/
  6. That would be best outcome should it be harding and connolly that are injured. Fox and Guly keeping them out of the team at the moment so not too big of a miss especially if barnard fit enough for bench.
  7. I reckon it could be lambert and lallana. No facts just gut feeling. Lallana didnt come across as particulary confident when talking about managing his injury. Managing an injury rarely pays off in the long run same goes for injections. Lets hope its not our key players
  8. Just noticed they are up on the saints player. it was uploaded 15 hours ago. you have to wait for a few seconds for the latest news page to refresh and show the video link to highlights. at first sight the highlights are not there.
  9. I think lallana will be on bench if fit. Sdr will also be on bench based on the fact guly tends to be better at sms than away and sdr has been much more effective when coming off the bench. Hammond in for cork. Davis Richardson martin hooiveld fox Guly. Morgan hammond. Chaplow Connolly. Lambert Bart Cork Lallana/barnard De ridder Harding
  10. Not trying to make up a story just giving an alternative view, after all it is a forum. Definition of a forum = A meeting or medium where ideas and views on a particular issue can be exchanged.
  11. I wonder if Nige has used Lallana's injury to also rest him as by his usual high standards his form had in my opinion dipped slightly in the couple of games before he got injured. Hopefully come saturday he will be fit and fresh and ready to be unleashed. I Guly will start ahead of SDR. Guly seems to be far more effective at SMS for some reason where as SDR is much more effective coming off the bench. I also think he may play Martin and Hooiveld as Fonte will be "injured". Fonte could do with a rest and adkins may want to ensure he does not become complacent as his form has been indifferent this season.
  12. so cheesy but got to love nige lol. I can imagine the players probably have a right giggle behind his back although not in a nasty way.
  13. no good having "superior" fitness if we are going to end up chasing games. it suggests to me that adkins is happy to contain the opposition for first 60 mins then rely on our advanced fitness levels to open teams up when playing away from home. sorry but we are not tight enough defensively to play that tactic especially with Fox in the side. Both the burnley and cardiff games we were not really at the races until we went behnind. it shouldnt take us coonceding a goal to spur us on. i actually think davis was at fault for first goal, he was caught in nomansland and there was no need for it as miller wasnt exactly in clear goal scoring position.
  14. strange that no adkins pre-match interview has been put on the OS yet. usually thursday is the day that both OS and Saints player post his thoughts on the upcoming game. hopefully solent will ask him about seaborne situation plus when will barnard be back as this seems the one question solent never ask.

  16. Since when is richardson a tall lump? He is 5'10".
  17. Just saw goals on ssn and the 3rd goal should never been allowed. Merson watched game and was imporessed by saints and felt unlucky not to get at least a point. Said keeper had a blinder
  18. Assuming the bus for leicester will be leaving by early afternoon at the latest any potential announcement will surely be made this morning.
  19. i was thinking the same. what a great opportunity to showcase a marque signing by doing it barcelona style!
  20. I have heard that some players get put off signing for us when they find out they will have to sing karaoke in front of the whole squad:)
  21. fontaine had ankle surgery towards end of last season. he then featured 1st game of the season against cardiff and played 90 mins but has since been out with ankle injury. i can see why bristol city have glady accepted our improved offer of 800k especially since he has less than a year left on his contract.
  22. saints player is so jekyll and hyde. seen some great footage i.e walsall (last game of season) but equally some pretty dire coverage such as the Ipswich highlights.
  23. i think harding is ok but can be caught out of position. dickson seems to get punished for every mistake which is why harding is favoured. still need a CB imo as against the top sides we may get found out. fourth official did tweet about maynard so maybe more signings to be announced today.
  24. BBC Radio Solent played an 'exclusive' interview with adkins. The headline was adkins says no one player bigger than the club. Funny how when they played it adkins said nothing of the sort nor did he actually mention about AOC leaving. Pretty sure that was an old interview. Another great scoop by solent lol
  25. ESPN reporting aoc has passed medical at arsenal today according to fourth official on twitter.
