I worry that there hasn't been the improvement i have been expecting as the lads get games under there belt. If we don't get some fulbacks in soon we will be in serious trouble....

Delldays, how many games have you seen? I realise that it my not be easy for you to get to games, but I don't think the 2 sky games are totally fair on how we have been playing. The blackpool game was a shocker and it looked like the kids were shell shocked. The defending in in the qpr game was very poor and we spent an hour with 10 men. Yet when we had the ball we caused QPR lots of trouble. We had numerous chances before Lallana equalised... I don't think those 2 games are a fair representation of the rest of the season. Also think about who we have played. The fixture computer has hardly given us an easy ride. I mean they were tough games and after 5 matches i expected around 3 points. But we are playing so much better now. The defence will come (fingers crossed for a old fashioned centreback in a load!)

I totally agree. I have never been a glass half full kind of guy but i find it a little demoralising that people are picking so many negatives out of that game. Both teams had chances, And the boys tired as they played most of the game with 10 men. But they were still trying and for spells we did not look like the team down to 10. We competed well until we got knackered and they scored 2 goals in the last 10. I for one am not gonna give up on this team yet....

I personally would have pushed surman up into left mid, and moved dyer to the right. Take off Gillett and bring on perry. Play cork at LB. I spoke to a QPR supporting mate on the way home and even he said it was not that bad, not a 4-1 game. He was quite impressed with our team. We played well, but we ran out of steam in teh last 10 min cos we played most of the match with 10 men FFS!

Played ok, no way was that a 4-1 game! We seriously need some good old fashioned centrebacks! also once lancashire went off we should have shuffled the pack. Dyer is no good on the left. at times it really did not seem like we were the team down to 10 men. Oh well off to buy my ipswich ticket then

It was noticable in the first game against Birmingham that tehy targeted Surman in the leftback slot in the second half and we couldn't cope. I didn't go to the cup game, so did they try that again?

I commuted up to London from SOton for 9 months and it really wasn't that bad. The company paid for the £360 monthly season ticket and i would just sleep on the journeys. The killer was when i went out in London, i'd get back to Soton at 3am only to have to wake up early to go to work the next day!!! I've since moved up here so now its just a pain for the midweek home matches....

The only reason i feel the itchen north corner should be open is for the match atmosphere. Today i was in the chapel but the atmosphere was to be honest rubbish. We need the atmosphere flanking the the away fans generates. I don't think the other corners adds to this. I don't sit in the corners, so i'm not really being shelfish. I am thinking purely in terms of the match atmosphere...
