Well, yes for the fan in the stands probaby, but absolutely 100% NO for the players. Its all about what's in the mind. They all have enough techinqe to get by, but whether the brain wins or loses is ALL about optimism.

Nice idea. Spent 6 months in US some years ago. Chicago Cubs had all sorts of things for games, inclduing a "fans game" - free hat, free shirt, free programme, free beer, whetever - just something to give a special lift to a game. help sto encourage the "belonging" feeling.
