He had a stomach virus (AKA 'The S**ts)

My memories of this match are probably extremely different from most of you on here. I went upto my friends house up the road to play FIFA 03/Redcard on the PS2 and when I got up there we had a few matches and he said to me 'We'll have to stop playing for a bit at 3 o' clock because the cup final's on' I knew almost nothing about Football at this time (I didn't even know matches took place every week) but knew/recognised a few teams from playing FIFA 03. Anyway, I asked him 'Who's Playing?' He said 'Saints v Arsenal' to which I replied 'What's the point in watching that, Saints are gonna get battered, they're f**king s**t' so we kept on playing until 3, when he went downstairs to watch the match in the lounge with his family, I had nothing else to do so I watched the match and remember being extremely bored whilst watching it. He was p*ssed after the match and kept saying 'if only Beattie had taken that chance we'd of been level' I said to him Saints had played well and it was a closer game than I'd imagined. We went back to FIFA 03 and replayed the match that had just taken place, him playing as Saints and me playing as Arsenal and I won 4-0.

So who would we want in if MP does go ?

Fergie (From The Black Eyed Peas) -
Reading between the lines, if Tom and Saintquinn's information is correct then I reckon the 'arrows' are white and under the arms (similar to the black arrow bits on the Werder Bremen away shirt)... The plot thickens....has the design suddenly been green-lit by Cortese et al. is that why this info has suddenly been released?
-
Fair enough. I think I got confused because Tom28 put something about Cortese's situation on the Cortese Thread and everyone was saying something about Glasgow being involved in something or another.
-
Interesting. Didn't someone say Tom28 is Glasgow on a wind-up though?

Another non-story. Interesting how the BBC have used Morgan's words during this morning's press conference totally out of context. -
Get a grip Barry, nothing's even happened yet. It's all conjecture and speculation.

Breaking news sky sports - Pochettino will leave if NC quits

People, watch the interview on Saints Player before you overreact at Sky Sports News' typically tabloid story, jeez. -
I'm shocked at how much bull-s**t is being spouted in this thread, it really is ludicrous. People making up facts left right and centre, already conceding that Cortese (and now MoPo) are definitely going, that the Liebherr's don't give two s**ts about the club anymore, jeez people get a grip. Anyone would thing you're all going to meet up at Southampton common before Sunday's match and commit mass-suicide at this rate.

If I was a betting man I'd say the hold up was something to do with paying off the current sponsor (aap3) or we that we are still in discussions with our new sponsor finalising the financial details. As the sponsor on the front of the shirt design would have to be finalised before being given the all clear that is obviously the hold up. There's obviously toing and froing between the new Sponsors (probably Eterna) and the old sponsors (aap3) over money/compensation/length of contract/size of contract or something.

I vote for staying off the pitch too. Does anyone know if we had a pitch invasion in the 2002/03 and 2003/04 seasons when we were easily mid-table before the last game?
-
I hold my hands up, I didn't think we'd stay up at the start of the season due to the (perceived) lack of quality players we brought in. Luckily most of the players we brought in last Summer have complimented our L1/NPC squad perfectly and we've managed to push on and might just get 10th if we beat Stoke on Saturday (although I think the match will be a draw personally). I honestly thought 39 points wouldn't be enough to stay up. I'm extremely pleased i've been proven wrong, it'll be a wierd experience on Sunday having a 'meaningless' end to the season for the first time I can remember since the 2005/06 Season when we all clapped Parhars off at the end of the match (V Leicester I believe). The big question for me is, should there and will there be a pitch invasion?
-
It may have already been put on this thread a while ago but thought this was an interesting comment from Alex Crook (Sky Soccer Saturday Reporter) several hours ago: @alex_crook: @chrise1984 @KyleMartin_SFC @csmith_journo I'd be surprised if they will bid for anyone until Cortese Liebherr situation is resolved Which means that this could serious affect our pre-season preparations and our preparations for next-season. It sounds to be as if his hands are tied until the Liebherr's give him the all clear to continue with his 'vision for the club' and enable him to sign more players and strengthen the squad in the Summer.

Next season: Saints best ever chance to win the Premier League?
BlakeySFC replied to jawillwill's topic in The Saints
Technically it probably is as no one knows how well the new managers are going to do at their respective clubs. Can't see us getting anywhere near it though, would love to be top 8 next season, but feel with the recent developments (i.e. the Liebherr's motivations) we'll be struggling to stay up again next season. -
I'm truly honoured that so many of you took this post remotely seriously. I'm extremely surprised it has reached the number of replies it has, I thought it'd be locked after a few hours but it hasn't been. See you all on Sunday, I'll be the 'zaney' Saints fan sporting a replica shirt, complete with Sunglasses and a hat if it's a sunny day

Can I have a PM too?
-
Can you confirm it's Adidas, or can't you say?
-
Another decent suggestion. A bit 'girly' these days though unfortunately due to the huge number of birds on nights-on dressing up as Wally.
-
I like it. I haven't got the figure to pull it off though unfortunately. If I can get a fat suit I'd be up for it
-
I might dress up for the last home game V Stoke (as It's our first 'meaningless' game in 3 years). Any suggestions? I was thinking A.) The Joker B.) Batman C.) Two Face D.) A St. Bernard E.) Bugs Bunny Suggestions?
