We would still be 7 points behind Sussex as it now stands, so the situation would be exactly the same. We must win and Sussex must lose. If we had beaten Yorks and got the 16 points, we would have been level with Sussex before this game and ahead of them on countback. There are plenty of "sticks" to use on the management this season, but that decision is not one of them.
