I was behind the goal , near the back. Ended up about 20 rows forward after Gilly's goal. Went by car with Dad and Uncle and parked and drank in Parsons Green, which we did for a few seasons around then. No real trouble as I recall, apart from some of ours giving some upset Palace fans the big-one in the Kings Rd straight after. We were lucky to get The Shed as that gave us a real advantage. The Brittania end was pretty soulless. Headed straight back after and the bloody car broke down on the last bit (then) of the M3 at Basingstoke. Towed back home by the AA at about 9 pm but remember making it to a great party in Portswood. We went by coach to Wembley.

End of season predictor - just for fun

I have us winning the league. But this does involve ineligible players, flu outbreaks, lasagne poisoning and FFP breaches. -

Nothing wrong with the pitch, apart from Dawson's LBW which might have kept a bit low. Fine margins as usual. Wright could have been given out 1st ball yesterday and Brown played and missed throughout and also perfected the "spoon it between 3 fielders". We looked to be batting with a great deal more aggression and it was a surprise when Carbs missed a straight one (Wharf happy to give that one). after that it was a procession till tea with seemingly 2 boundaries and a wicket each over. Vince looked the best in the world again, but got a good ball from their Aussie and so Ervine was left to do his usual recue act. Wood had a lot of luck, but stuck at it until he fended one from Mills to square leg. Briggs got out in the last over, by which time I was in my car. It would be unfair to expect much from a bowling attack, which was last years minus Abbott and Coles. Sussex had Magoffin, who is class, but we got out too easily to Shazad and especially Hobden, who went for over 6 an over. Mills is still rapid, but just as erratic as he was last season with Essex. He was too quick for our tail though. I spent the day worrying that we might prove to be as poor as Northants were last season. My mate has already renamed us London Welsh!

With all the gripings from Hull and Danny Murphy on MOTD about Pelle not being sent off, the question of why Alex Bruce wasn't given a straight red for conceding the penalty appears to have been ignored. Every week you see red cards for less obvious cases, yet he didn't even get a yellow. It was argued in our row, that as it was Shane Long, it wasn't a clear scoring chance. The fact is that Kevin Friend is the most appalling Premier League ref, which in itself is a difficult task, given the competition and that he failed to book any Hull players at all for fouls worse than Victor's merely enhances that.

Just like himself, when he first went to The Skates and Graham Rix was manager. Well at least he was for a couple of months before Storrieteller replaced him with his bestie.

If only there was some way of finding out what programs are on TV in the days to follow.

His last game for us was in the FA Cup 3rd rd at Forest in January 93. Bally didn't become our manager until January 94, so it must have been in training as he never made the pitch for us ever again.

I think Sarnia has trouble wiping his ass, let alone the floor. Probably because he keeps his gun in his hand.

To quote a scene from The Young Ones. "Don't mind me, I'm irrelevant."

Have the BBC got this wrong about Europa League qualification?
Lets B Avenue replied to niceandfriendly's topic in The Saints
Wrong on nearly every count. England has 2 places in the Group Stage. Try reading this, particularly 4.3, 5 & 6. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2015%E2%80%9316_UEFA_Europa_League -

Perhaps True Entertainment might come in with a cheeky bid for the Sunderland away game?
