Is this the second coming? Is Kippy coming to save the forum?

+1 Seems to be a lot of bullying going on. There's making silly jokes about golf, and then there's just being downright nasty and going out of your way to make someone feel intimidated and bad. The ganging up against Will that is going on here, with mods/admin joining in, is leaving a bit of a sour taste in the mouth.

You did all this when you were 12? Were you a child genius/time traveller?
-
As a matter of fact I have done this. I went from the UK to Australia to Hong Kong to Dubai to Paris to California and then to Thailand. I did that in the space of 5 days. By the end of it I was exhausted, I know how tough plane travel is. In fact, I was so shattered that all I could do after was play golf.
-
Yes, I agree with this. Golfers play all day. I'm not a golfer myself, but I can imagine how hard it must be to walk at leisure around a reasonably flat green area, hittig a ball with a stick. They must be exhausted by the end of it. I also agree that sitting on a plane must be tough and can see why they have to be so fit. It really isn't easy flying from one place to another. As for the playing in the heat, again, very tricky, especially when you're walking about the course trying to hit that little ball. That is another relevant point.....the ball a footaller uses is much larger than the ball a golfer uses. It must be much harder on the golfers eyes to see the tiny ball they use (in comparison to the football).

What a surprise. Atticu*t Finch sides with the paedos

Says the man who spends half his life posting pictures of ladies boobies on SWF. Suggesting someone else grows up is a little rich coming from you. You've done your best to ruin all of the forums over the past few years. So you did choose to pay, stop being a spastic.

It's a shame they didn't die from the fright. Cats are basically c*nts. Especially yours.

Surely you mean "Not eat my teacher (and everything else in sight)"

An interesting point to note is, if WWII had ended differently, would we actually "all be speaking German by now" as some people like to say? Just because the Germans would have won that doesn't mean we would all have started to speak German, surely? Some people are not capable of learning another language. They maybe to old to pick it up. The Germans would not have been able to enforce a "German only" approach to language in people's houses and there would always be underground newspapers and radio stations. Plus, you can get stations from abroad and in todays satelitte age we would have had loads of American TV. On a similar note, would the die hard British things like steak and chips have disappeared? The things that make us us? Do Nazi's like Fish and Chips? If the Nazis had said "No, you will not eat fish and chips, but instead you will have Bratwurst" does this mean we would have started to eat differently? In fact, I don't think life would be too much different if we were Nazi Britian than it is today. We'd still speak English and eat fish and chips and instead of just moaning about blacks, Asians, disabled and gay people and Jews, we'd just kill them. -
I don't think that insults are called for. Saint in Paradise posed a difficult dilemma and we both agreed that it would be hard a decision to make, but he did ask a question, so I gave it some thought and gave my answer. If you would have chosen to save the boy (like Hatch) I wouldn't have gone round calling you names as I know what a difficult decision it would have been. I think you need to grow up a little bit and start living in the real world if you think you can insult people for making a decision that you deem wrong. I would say "I'd love to see what you'd do in that position" but I wouldn't wish that scenario on anyone.
-
Tricky one indeed and I, like you Saint in Paradise, wouldn't want to make that decision. However, having looked at the facts, it turns out that the wife is 35 years old. That makes her young enough for another child. If the husband had saved the boy you would have had two people who would have been scarred for the rest of their lives. A man who wouldn't be able to love another woman and would probably end up resenting the son, as tends to be the case in these situations. The boy would have had to live with the idea of him being the reason his mother is not alive. It would be awful. At least this way, they can forget about the boy by having another child and move on. There's no picture of the wife, but I imagine she's a good looker, or this could have been an opportunity for a change for the better.

I have never recieved an infraction and think that the mods on here are fair and just. There is never any indiscrepancy in the handing out of punishments and people who suggest there are seem to be the trouble makers. If you play by the rules then you have nothing to worry about. The rules are here to make the forum as interesting as can be and sticking to those rules has made the forum a much better place (IMO) than it used to be. In the old days there were people joking about and making pointless and often sarcastic comments.

I really think that the 125th anniversary is a lot more important than the arguing over shirt design suggests. I cannot believe people have sat here and argued about this as an issue when there is no agreement with the club to do anything anyway. Moreover, there really is more to this historic moment than what shirts to wear. I have posted up some more long lasting ideas already and would love for people to get back on track, use their brains and think of something that will be a lasting legacy for Southampton FC. Maybe something like sponsoring 125 under-privileged children across Africa, helping send them to school and such like. Then, come the 150th anniversary we can get them and their families over, give them some free tickets and so on and celebrate the impact we can have, not just on the pitch, but in the world as well. I would love to see those starving children twenty five years later, standing in the centre circle of St Mary's as successful adults. Who knows, one of them may be a great footballer by then! Or a coach or a scout? Let's do something meaningful.

Good idea to start planning in advance for these occasions. When arrangements are left to the last minute, that's when things go wrong. I think we should start each game of next season with 125 balloons being launched before each game and whoever gets the one that has landed the furthest away gets a season ticket for life. I also think we should arrange for all the 125 year olds in the country to have a season ticket for life and they get to sit in the boxes and whatnot, really spolit and looked after. The club should also get all the ex players who are in trouble around the world and get them back and set up a Saints retirement home, which after the 125th celebratory year could be opened up to all ex footballers. It could be run as a non profit organisation and would be a welcome legacy of our 125th glorious year. All the footballers would love to retire down on the south coast and the club could give them all season tickets for life. Another idea is to send out exercise books to the local schools with the Saints badge on the front (in a subtle way) and make the book 125 pages long. The kids could write in the book and do their school work and learn whilst supporting saints. Then, in a bid to raise standards we could offer life time season tickets to one student from each school who shows the most progress, as judged by their teachers. Finally we could have a Saints 125 ribbon, like those aids and cancer ones. Or one of them wristband things, like Lance Armstrong. Our one would be red and white and would have 125 on it. We should also make one out of 125 a different colour and that special one would make the wearer eligble for a free ticket to every game.

Is there a vegetarian option?

You're being ridiculous. No one has suggested there will be rioting on the street. You just need to get your head out of the sand and take a look at the table. We are in the relegation zone and have been for quite some time. Even if we didn't have the minus 10 we would still only be 11th. You're crazy for not seeing through the spin. You have been brainwashed. ps - do you really not understand what "raising expectations" means? I find that difficult to believe because it really is quite straight forward English. (No offence meant if you have trouble reading and stuff. My wife is a special needs assistant and I know how hard people can find it if they struggle with literacy)

Burley Sacked as Scotland Manager
Wiltshire Saint replied to the saint in winchester's topic in The Saints
Am I the only one who thinks he could do a job for us here? Better than Pardew is managing anyway. -
I am thinking that unless we go 4-5-1 I can see us getting hammered there. If Pardew decides to stick with 4-4-2 I think we will lose 4-0. If we go 4-5-1 I can forsee a 4-3 vicory for us. I would drop Lambert ot the bench and put Connerly up front on his own with Papa Waygo on the right and Molyneux on the the left. Wooton in the middle with Spiderman. I would make Kelvin Davies captain again, for his strength and stability. COYR!!

+1 The best thing Saints could do is shed the "family club" image. The more raucous fans we have the better. It would set an example and a standard. Foreign fans and clubs would know what they were messing with if we sang properly, as opposed to what we have now. I'm not a thug, but a few slaps wouldn't go amiss either. Nothing too outrageous, no knives or anything, but a few firm slaps, like the old days.

Maybe he needs a transfer to kick start his career? I'd have a word with the manager, get him on the tranfser list and ask his agent to start putting his name about, maybe with some of those videos you got of the days when he used to score. Form may be temporary, but class is permanent and even though he's not scoring now, he will score soon and it's probably a new environment that he needs. If you're not keen on the idea of a transfer then it's a bit trickier. It sounds like he's been encouraged by everyone and it's not helping. You say shouting won't help, so I guess you're against hitting as well? What about a spell training with the reserves? Maybe it'll be the shock he needs to pull his finger out?

Are you not some kind of lawyer/solicitor or something? What would these people be prosecuted with? I don't believe there is a law against making noise for a minute when asked not to. No one is compelled by law to maintain silence. They, clearly, should be compelled out of respect or decency, but not the law, surely? What would be a suitable punishment for someone making noise during a minutes silence? Would it only be people who boo or any sort of noise? What if they beeped the horn of their car? What if their phone went off? What if they muttered something? What about a burb? Surely a burp is accidental? A fart? How many consecutive burps must one make before it is deemed to be an act of defiance? How would you prove someone made a noise? What if they had a friend called Boo and he was about to get run over and they shouted out "Boo!"? What if there was a ventriloquist in the crowd? I don't think you can prosecute someone for this act of stupidity.
