I suppose it is possible that Managers do not want to come to SFC because of Cortese but I doubt it. They may not want to come because of the pressure to succeed but we have good facilities players players and fans so we should be able to succeed. However I would like Cortese to act in a manner so that the club dont get so much negative press and these threads are posted I think things are improving but Cortese is new to British Football and needs to learn it cannot be expected that he would be a perfect Chairman from day 1 despite some fans thinking that he was I dont live in Southampton but in Berkshire where I talk to fans of other clubs and most think there is something really wrong with club at the moment whilst last season they thought we had done really well in nearly getting to the playoffs

Yes I thought Pre Season was poor and was concerned about results in the League season but told by posters there nothing to be worried about. I think that some posters should realise that any critical comments by fans who go to games are not negative but are in fact positive as they are usually worried about what they have seen and want the team to perform better I went to the Farnborough game and although the team did not contain the stars we were poor with little to pattern to our play as oppossed to Farnborough who passed the ball really well in the first half. No new signing have been made to make the team much better - Butterfield maybe a little better than Semi but not that much Totally agree with Wilkins Southampton caretaker boss Dean Wilkins believes his side are struggling to recovery from going behind in games, partly due to a lack of options on the bench.

Pretty unrealistic theory I would have thought as I doubt whether Atkins would have made much difference to the Swindon preparations I heard last night there was problems with compensation so the deal did not go through because Cortese did not agree with the compensation required. If you pay peanuts you get Monkeys is a well known phrase so lets see who we get. Cortese sacks Pardew who had a better record than Adkins when he last got promoted then fails after almost two weeks to get a replacement during which time the team performs badly and has a row with another club. So far he has upset the Echo The Sun Martin Samuel of the Daily Mail Various Local Newspapers Pardew Downes Murdoch Coventry City and StuRomseySaint plus countless other fans

I think the point that NI was making was that Adkins at S****horpe Adkins deals with young players while at Southampton Pardew has brought in more experienced players such as Fonte Richardson Puncheon Lambert Jaidi Barnard etc and Adkins may possibly have trouble motivating them. With regard to young players in general we dont seem to have been very successful in bringing young players through in the last couple of seasons from the Academy

You dont appear to be the cleverest cookie in the class do you If we dont get out of League 1 this season we will probably will lose most of the squad. Les Reed is not going to guarantee us success in the Premier League I doubt whether the country's best young footballers want to come to a League 1 side

Lets get out of League 1 before we introduce fancy new systems surely money should be spent on the First Team Not on Les Reed etc time for that later
