Yes I think I can agree with what you are saying . I am surprised that we are still in business as I originally thought the Pinnacle bid would fail as there did not seem that there was a rich guy with hundreds of millions of pounds around. If there was why get TL with little or no experience involved in the first place and secondly if he was that wealthy he would surely have bought the club quickly. Getting MLT to be chairman again seems strange to me but hope I am wrong

Cliff Huxford in goal and with nine men we beat Derby County in Div 2 around 64/65
-
Did not say he was a money grabber just that he would have made the decision probably based on a number of reasons
-
Yes 1981-82 UEFA SPORTING LISBON (POR) H 2-4 SPORTING LISBON (POR) A 0-0 One of the most comprehensive beatings I ever saw at the Dell Mind you fully expect to see many more comprehensive beatings at St Mary's if we survive

Thanks Not sure but I cannot remember it raining http://www.mediastorehouse.com/pictures_66610/Southampton-v-Vitoria-Guimaraes-of-Portugal-November-1969.html

One thing I do remember was that not too many people were upset by the result as they were there for the beer. The only other European Match I remember remember was a game down the Dell when I was in the Milton Road End against a team from Portugal who were 3 0 up after only a few minutes I think we drew 0 0 over there
-
Why ? Surely he made the decision to support Pinnacle and probably earn a large amount of money
-
We went from the Dell up the M3 and around the South Circular and down the A2/M2 from what I remember got back at rush hour in the morning in London
-
Me too

Yes you are right but Pinnacle may well have a valid reason for not going forward only time will tell. With all the negative comments and vaguely anti Jewish feeling from a minority of fans why bother any way
-
Opinions often change on rumours and not facts often fans fantasies also become facts in other peoples eyes
-
There is no evidence at the moment that there is a problem with funding from Pinnacle just rumours which may of course turn out to be correct
-
It is hardly fair to blame the possible future owners for the mess that led us into administration they are trying to resolve the situation I would have thought
-
Probably because Crouch/Pinnacle paid the mony which was urgently needed to pay the wages
-
Yes I think you have proved my point
-
With people like you posting offensive remarks it is not surprising that wealthy people cannot be bothered in investing in football clubs because of the constant abuse they get when things do not go right
-
Jones and somebody else Not Lowe Wilde etc
-
Or the Friday after that when we will be truly fooked Or the Friday after that when we will be very truly fooked
-
Is Friday the day, Pinnacles balloon of hot air bursts!!
John B replied to SOTONS EAST SIDE's topic in The Saints
As long as somebody takes over who has no history with the club I would be happy -
Both have said it is not the ten point penalty which is the problem it is what they are signing away but have not been pressed on what is the real problem
-
Probably no problem with proof of funds a couple of weeks ago. From what I have heard listening to TL and MF on SKY the FL have moved the goal posts so what is now on the table is not what Pinnacle originally thought they were buying. However I dont feel the SKY Presenters have been asking the Questions we the Saints Fans want being answered
-
I remember leaving SW London where I lived then driving to Soton to catch a coach which then went past the end of my road three hours later. The Singing on the Ferry was great and no one seemed to mind the 2 0 result
-
Possibly because there was no other worth while bids until the recent Swiss one By the way is there not another administrator apart from Fry who must surely be liasing with his superiors
-
Yes I was there apart from the Result it was a great night and morning. Come on you Yellows
