  1. Yes Hugh I think you may well be right
  2. I see you are hoping for some good cup matches with Pompey Spurs and Man City St Mary's I am looking forward to Not getting relegated Not getting called a Lowe Luvvie by Ottery St Mary
  3. Because we would not had to pay wages for Makin Powell and Powell and could have used that money better
  4. WE have signed him for next season
  5. I thought he was with Pompey last season so it is not surprising he did not play
  6. And Blackstock up front

    The Future

The Cardiff game you mention was a night one and Reynolds could hardly see apparently with his contact lenses. I think Ivor Allchurch scored a couple that night Saw Cloughie that season playing for the only time I think it was 0 0
  8. We did get in players like Powell and Makin though
  9. Where is the money coming from to buy him and pay Saga
  10. How many pubs did Mark Dennis drink in regularly

    The Future

That was my first season too Although we did not do very well to start with getting in the three players you mentioned helped. But it was slightly different from today as fans expectations were a lot lower and we did score over 70 goals that season and were virtually unbeaten at home
  12. I agree Why not buy tickets for two games and get the third free
  13. Yes Herb Elliott the famous miler of the 1950s did
  14. Is it not possible for someone to mediate between the two parties so you can eat either party's hay neither party seems to be entirely in the right or wrong A cease fire surely is called for as the bickering is causing great distress the fans and the financial stability of the clubs. Because the club is divided it appears to be lurching towards relegation and possible relegation. Surely we need large crowds and united shareholders to make sure this does not happen
  15. This under the thread Really

    Really?

In your Opinion but not in the Opinion of the person who wrote it. Mind you I agree with you but I do think McGoldrick is a good prospect . He did score loads of goals for the Reserves when they were clearly a good team maybe McGoldrick would score a lot for a better team say Reading.
  17. The Biiterne Brewery is now the Big Cheese where Mousehole Lane meets West End Road

    Kenwyne Jones

I read today somewhere that Bale may be used in the deal to get Downing to Spurs. Harry is not very Happy apparently as Spurs keep letting in late goals something I remember happening with Harry at Saints I think Downing was involved with one of them too
  19. Bitterne Brewery dont live in Southampton now but I did live in Bitterne
  20. Why not If they think he looks good and he is Scottish it may seem a good idea to them
  21. Who would today's celebrity be I wonder?
  22. Yes I think this sums up the situation well Crouch as you say never puts forward a consistent strategy Lowe does but whether it is the correct one time will tell probably. Football is not like a business where it may not matter if there are two bad years in Football two bad years may lead us to Div 2
  23. We did have a lot of injuries during his time as coach I remember one match where Best and Blackstock were the strikers
  24. The forum is discuss SFC matters and recalling the past is better than thinking about the present. It is not the place to post offensive comments about people who plainly rightly or wrongly do not like Mr Lowe
  25. Chatted to Harry at Rownhams Motorway Filling Station we were both filling up with Petrol he was manager at West Ham at the time and had just lost to Charlton who were relegation candidates with us.
