  1. I disagree we need a forward who can score goals whether experienced or not Goal Scoring Forwards cost loads of money where do we get one from? If they are scoring goals their clubs will not release them. Surely if Rudi or Rasiak was sold we would have kept Stern John
  2. I thought most people thought Surman was not a full back
  3. I totally agree we do not seem to have had much this season
  4. Yes but injuries and suspensions have not helped. Also if the team had been winning there would be no need to change it either. Should Lallana play on Saturday ? Does BWP justify a place I agree with Andy above
  5. I think he will stay if we go down too
  6. I thought Perry was ill with a virus which took along time to shake off.
  7. I think the blend was similar at the start of the season Svensson was playing Saijis was not Gillett was playing Molyneux was not Lallana was playing Saga was not. but I maybe wrong but injuries to Svennson and Holmes and others together with the requirement to save money has contributed to the problem especially with the strikers
  8. I agree with what do are saying especially regarding flexibility although I do not understand how you know what both JP and Lowe are thinking because they may agree with you
  9. I did not realise that the strategy was to have Academy only players I thought it was to have the blend as you suggested. Having Academy only players is plainly ridiculous but having some who are up to the job makes financial sense. If this strategy had been in place before and say Cranie and Blackstock where still playing perhaps there would have been no need to have had to buy in Thomas and BWP and we could have used the money spent there in a better way . Because of money constraints it is not possible at the moment to bring many new costly players at the moment so we are using what players we have but in the future if we have the money I am sure we will be buying again and also selling. But Wotton Perry Siejis Schenderlin Forecast Smith Holmes have been brought in this season with also loans coming in and SFC were hoping to play Svensson All our best teams in the last forty five years always had a good proportion of home grown players but in the last years of the Premiership there were not many and that was one of the reasons we were relegated as we were having to buy virtually a whole team from outside
  10. Yes you are of course right but it is because we are in the bottom three that it is really important that we win not only for the points but also for team and fan confidence. So I agree that the game against Donny may seem to be our most important game of the season at the moment but there maybe more important ones to come
  11. Yes I agree if we beat Doncaster and dont lose at Norwich things will be better. Perhaps like Nottm Forest we will get the winning habit and Norwich Watford and Blackpool get the losing habit
  12. I dont think JP is clueless but the formation does not work at home at the moment because what has already been said. You would have thought 4 4 2 would have worked better but we did not win that many games at home last season either although more than this year The system needs to have wide players staying wide but I dont think that has been happening when Holmes has been injured.
  13. Surely this forum is for discussions I thought Cork was a loss but if his move allows us to get in Size a big CB it may not be a bad thing. Thats all Not getting what fans want ie Richard Wright who in my opinion saved us from relegation has not turn out to be that bad. Of course I would like to have Wright Davies John and Cork in our squad but that does not appear to be possible. I also cannot see why Pulis and Gasmi were signed but that is another question
  14. Yes I agree but losing Cork may not turn out as bad as was originally thought
  15. Of course I am a Saints supporter who does not care who is in the boardroom as long as the team looks as it can be successful
  16. Right Gladys I agree with most of what you are saying I know you are not on Lowe's Christmas card list neither am I so I excuse you for usual Lowe ramblings How about selling Lallana pay off some of our debt and get in two good experienced pros but good is the important word
  17. And to you Mary Not bad so far I think Where do you think Lallana fits into the team if he is not transfered
  18. I put it on for a discussion that is what a forum is for I just thought we may not have got a large CB if Cork had not gone and wondered if others agreed But as you mention it not all of SFC's decisions are wrong some are some are not.
  19. People were upset last week when Cork went to Watford. But now we have Saeijs who seems to have a physical presence will Cork be seriously missed in defence I know he was more than a decent player but not a CB perhaps In the summer Wright was not signed and fans were disappointed but Davis has been awesome.
  20. Just want to say you are not crazy
  21. BBC STATS BARNSLEYSOUTHAMPTON Possession 54% 46% Shots on target 5 6 Shots off target 7 5 Corners 8 6 Fouls 8 13 So pretty close
  22. Yes a bit of luck a reasonable team with regard to youth and expereince and a win Must do the same next week and not lose to Norwich after that. Rudi is suspended so keep the same team I feel Blackpool maybe on the slide but who knows
  23. Over thirty players have played so far so Saints this season We have two new ones and SAGA today
  24. I think Crouch has more than reservations now about Wilde I would have thought
