I think the person sells Football Programmes wherever he can including at St mary's so now I expect there will be a shortfall in his income

Our Future? Stadium Expansion Proposal on Season Ticket DVD
John B replied to Colinjb's topic in The Saints
I would prefer Cortese to grow the team something he appears to have failed according to many instead of spreading propaganda to gullible fans. To build a larger stadium would be a ridilulous gamble as there is no guarantee that SFC will be in the PL in three years time -
Celtic and Rangers are big clubs no matter what they do on the pitch I meet loads of their supporters where ever I go but very few Saints ones out side Hampshire
-
Me too What games did you see
-
I agree with you people have different views and just because he did really wel getting Pardew's team into the Championship and then getting us into the PL does not mean that Adkins will thrive this season. However I think he of course Adkins should be given a chance but I have a similar feeling that I did when Gray and then Wigley were in charge. Lets hope I am wrong but I often think getting the right manager is not that easy and if Adkins went I would not have any idea who would replace him. So come on Nigel you have the support of the fans so lets start going up the table
-
That is the best comment I have seen for sometime Adkins has not managed in the PL before and I would have thought that it would be a good idea to have someone in to help him
-
Clearly Adkins is not a PL manager but do we have the time for him to learn
-
Yes Complete Rubbish

I would have thought most managers would be out of depth with the squad Mr Cortese has overseen arrive at St Mary's probably with the help of others

Some Tweets Saying We Have Borrowed Against Future Season Ticket Sales
John B replied to Gemmel's topic in The Saints
I could not find anything either when I looked a couple of years ago From Wikapaedia Cortese was educated in Switzerland and England in business communication and finance.[2] He was involved for ten years in sports business practice as head of the sports and entertainment desk at various Swiss banks, providing global services to sports and entertainment professionals.[2] His most recent position was as an executive at Banque Heritage in Geneva where he managed the finances of billionaires. He had previously run the sports business desk for Credit Suisse.[3] -

Of course you are right and it does seem a reasonable approach. But with no financial muscle behind us we are just a small PL club which like in the days of Lowe is unlikely to flourish unfortunately -
You dont seem to realise that most of our problems are caused by the front 6 not assisting the defence well enough

How many will Lambert score this season................
John B replied to doddisalegend's topic in The Saints
I agree think he could be the best signing for what he has achieved in getting SFC promotedever but Terry Paine from Winchester was pretty good too and he was a World Cup Winner as well. With Penalties he could score 20 or so this season -
How many tactical mistakes is Adkins allowed?
John B replied to Dibden Purlieu Saint's topic in The Saints
You may not agreewith his tactics but if we did win four games against the weaker teams away that would be great -
Why is always Nigel's Fault nothing to do with the players then

When we started this season, what exactly were you expecting?
John B replied to Legod Third Coming's topic in The Saints
I expected us to get relegated as the team even with the new players was not as good as the team we had in 2004/2005 . Especially as the coaching team we currently have has little or no experience of the PL. Of course it is possible for the team to start playing well and survive but I dont think £30million was spent effectively and if we get a couple of further injuries to key players things may look bleak. -
We are going to struggle against top teams away from home because we dont have the players for the PL To get a competative team we would need PL experienced players I would have thought which for some reason the club decided not buy but got in young players with possible potential As we proved whe we got relegated to League 1 youngsters are not always the answer We just hope we perform better against the lower teams because Norwich Reading QPR are going to struggle too. With regard to experience I think it is scandalous that we have little in the way of PL experienced coaches and surely Adkins needs an assistant

Not much of a bench Substitutes 01 K Davis 05 Hooiveld 29 Reeves 21 Guly 27 Chaplow 42 Puncheon 24 Mayuka Norwich QPR Reading not that good either

FourFourTwo's 'Name your club's best goal ever'
John B replied to Crazy Diamond's topic in The Saints
Best goal when Tery paine headed the goal at Leyton Orient in 1966 to get us to Div 1 -
You seem to be a similar vintage to me so I would like us to be the Alehouse team whilst we consolidate in the PL but that wont happen
-
Totally agree they also seem more aggressive as well
-
Which one can not disagree with I would have thought But does it not say that the Midfield apart from Morgan is populated with Fairies
-
And that is the problem we reached the PL with not enough experienced PL standard players Perhaps we should get in some extra coaching not a new manager
