The Result Tonight v Norwich-How Do You Look At It...!?!
John B replied to dannysfc's topic in The Saints
A draw was OK I think as Norwich have been playing well recently and are one of the form teams unbeaten in 7 PL games I think a club record. -
But he might have a future if we get relegated but I do agree with your post I never understood why we signed him when we could have had him on loan

The Southampton Goalkeeping Crisis Flowchart
John B replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
I dont think it is very fair calling Gazza a clown he is a young goalkeeper with potential he should be encouraged not insulted by people on here who make mistakes them selves every day. If there is blame to be attributed it should be to the club which has not invested in a reliable PL Goalkeeper -
I am not nervous we seem to have turned a corner now with a settled team and the best players available I think we will go on to win

You dont seem to be a very realistic person as usual Mr Tender just an internet troll arguing for the sake of arguing. SFC have been found wanting in their dealings with the Solent which you cannot accept it for some unknown reason Mr Justice Robert Akenhead said that the club “did not hint or suggest that there is any defence to the claim” which can be called a whim. If you are happy that SFC only pay up when a court tells them then that speaks highly of your morals but for me and most other reasonable people we pay up when we get a bill otherwise the whole economy of the country would come to a grinding halt. The whole episode is a sad reflection how some businesses are gives the impression that the club is to be run in fair and equitable manner as no conceivable evidence was put forward by the club. Thats my three for the day until we meet again Wes when you post some more drivel best wishes John B PS Think things are getting better on the pitch as the team begins to gel shame we did not get in some more experienced defensive players but I doubt it is as easy to get them as posters suggest as you dont go to Argos and AMAZON and find them there

A very strange comment from a very strange poster If you read the original article it says that in August a court told SFC to pay but did not The court heard that an adjudicator had found on 21 August that Southampton FC owed £55,000 after missing the final payment, due in July, but that Solent had received no explanation as to why payment had not been made. Amy Amieson, of legal firm P J English, working for Solent, told H&V News after the hearing that the incident had affected Solent’s cash flow “quite significantly”. Mr Justice Robert Akenhead said that the club “did not hint or suggest that there is any defence to the claim” and that he “cannot see any conceivable defence” in the evidence heard. The court ordered the football club, in the absence of counsel, to pay £55,000 in contracted fees, VAT and £1,370.63 of interest, as well as legal costs at £3,309. Mr Akenhead said “I simply don’t understand” why Southampton had left it to a day before the hearing to say they weren’t attending.

I dont really understand how people like you make excuses for a pretty disgraceful decision by SFC Or do you think it is acceptable to withold money on a whim and not pay when a court tells you do so.
-
I have had a good week well done Mr Adkins and the Squad We will be out of the relegation zone shortly
-
I think the main conclusion is that Cortese is not the great business man lots of people think he is.
-
So did you not read the article before posting your out of touch comment I dont think is Standard not to pay bills and upset the Judge An adjudication in August ruled that the club should hand over the money “immediately” along with interest built up in the month at £12.81 per day. But despite further demands, no money was handed to the commercial outfitter, which is based in Lee-on-the-Solent, and no explanation was offered, the court heard. The club did not send a representative or a legal team to the case, emailing court officials a day before to signal their intention not to attend. In their absence, the club was ordered to pay £55,000 plus VAT as well as interest totalling £1,370.63 and legal costs of £3,309. Mr Justice Robert Akenhead said he could “not understand” why the club had left it until the day before the hearing to tell the court they were not appearing for a defence against the claim.

Not sure this is a snipe seems to be a fact http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/10052525.Saints_ordered_to_pay___60k_debt_by_court/

Yes you are right Wes I have used the wrong word If Cortese was a reasonable bloke I doubt there would be talk about Dark Forces but people are amazed about his behavior and get upset . I know someone who used to work there and from what they have told me it is not the best place to work because of wild behavior. You can be reasonable and be successfull So if he behaved reasonably I doubt there would be discussions about Dark Forces So why do you think there are apparently Dark Forces at work Wes.
-
If Cortese was a normal bloke I doubt there would be talk about Dark Forces but people are amazed about his behavior and get upset . I know someone who used to work there and from what they have told me it is not the best place to work.

What if we sold Lambert in the window or he got injured then we would need someone it is better to see who is around and what they are like instead of panicing at the last moment. It does not say we are going to buy him just monitoring him that is what scouts do I thought
-
I dont see that the journalism is poor but I do think that you just want to criticise. The article quotes the Italian football club as saying that Southampton are monitoring the progress of an 18 year old in Serie B Surely is good that SFC are looking everywhere for young talent to develop
-
It does appear that Dell Days thinks our team and manager are better than they are. They are both relatively young and inexperienced in the PL which makes it very difficult to grind out wins. I dont doubt most will become decent PL players but it will take a little time something we dont have at the moment To survive we need say another 32 points in 27 games 8 wins 8 draws 11 losses not impossible but so far 1 win 2 draws 8 losses so it is going to be difficult
-
Well if there is no interference to Adkins my estimation of him is going down perhaps after all he is not up to the job. Poor transfer policy strange team selection poor tactics and substitutions but I think he should be given at least another six games to see if results improve.
-
There will always be positives Cork Shaw etc but as Mr Garrett says Swansea were poor and had players missing and came for a draw and if we are to survive in the PL we need some wins so I am slightly disappointed. So if we cannot beat a poor Swansea side at home which team are we going to beat the next three games are going to be interesting as we do need a couple of wins one of which needs to be against Norwich I would have thought
-
Well I find it hard to believe my self but it is true according to someone I know at St Mary's but of course they maybe wrong as I can see any real evidence
-
I think most people agree with you that is why I am frustrated that we have spent £20 million unwisely and not got in some more experienced players
-
Plus not getting in any really decent players

Olly Lancashire's shock tweet about Southampton Football Club
John B replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
On the otherhand he maybe very happy playing at a club where Cortese who he clearly thinks is a knob is not involved -
That is without doubt the most strange line up I have seen for sometime a team with a defence and an attack and no midfield I suppose it could confuse the opposition But none of the others have worked so perhaps this one would work but I doubt that it will take the field
