I agree but I dont think Liverpool want to pay the full amount up front according to a couple of reports I have read
-
Now beginning to believe it wont be Koeman not entirely because of your comments but I would have thought he would have been appointed by now. Seen a comment somewhere that SFC wanted some PL experience but neither of our last two managers had it so maybe a red herring Cue Koeman being appointed
-
I used to have a standing season ticket under the West Stand in those days we really had some great players in those days
-
David Armstrong stayed for sometime dont know if he played whilst at Middlesboro not sure about Mark Wright as he had a bust up with Laurie Mac
-
I think some of the Inquires in are for the Same player ie Chelsea Man U or Man City after Shaw
-
That what I think But surely that has been their stance all the time footballers move to different clubs all the time it is their job and they want improve themselves. Lambert moved from Bristol Rovers Jrod moved from Burnley etc etc to improve but that is OK but to move from SFC to some posters is not OK
-
So you dont want to get any new players in ?
-
So would you pay him what he wants or what you are prepared to pay
-
So do you want her to invest her money so meet your agenda or like me dont really care I will just support SFC like I have done over 50 years and seen some great games and footballers We wont go down as we are a top club but not an elite one
-
I would be quite happy in the Championship the PL is just money money money with the fans demanding more of someone else's money be spent to get to a position which is unattainable. SFC are not one of the elite clubs and in the current environment never will investing another £50m is not going to guarantee CL or European Action
-
Probably means that the boards think your £25m is more like £125m
-
I dont think he is interested in Lallana at 30 Million either no mention of Lambert http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/may/29/liverpool-step-up-interest-sevilla-alberto-moreno
-
I should imagine that most managers have never managed before they became a manager
-
To get to Europe we have to finish above Spurs I would have thought although we could win the FA Cup I suppose
-
This Fan does not think much of MP http://metro.co.uk/2014/05/28/mauricio-pochettino-is-a-hypocrite-for-leaving-southampton-to-join-spurs-4741829/

Well according to the Guardian he is “The club has been on a constant path of growth since the arrival of Markus Liebherr in 2009,” said the Southampton chairman, Ralph Krueger. “This growth took place before Mauricio came, it continued strongly under his leadership, and it will continue into the next season. The board’s job is to find opportunity in this challenge and to continue to move the club forward. We have begun the search for a new high-calibre manager. We will be looking for a manager that shares our values, our principles and our philosophy. A manager who can continue to grow the first-team and build on our strong foundation.” Southampton’s short-list will include the former Basel coach, Murat Yakin, who has impressed in winning the Swiss title in each of his two seasons as manager. He departed by mutual consent earlier this month having taken the team to the Europa League semi-finals in 2013 and the quarter-finals this year. Michael Laudrup and Oscar García, both without a club after leaving Swansea and Brighton, are also under consideration, though Derby County’s Steve McClaren is apparently not in contention for the role

I have supported Saints for 55 Years and the next one will be No 22 the first three lasted 32 Years so we would have had 19 in 23 Years including a few caretaker ones We were in Div 3 in 1959 and the PL now so we have made progress
-
What has he actually done wrong how can he stop players and managers bettering themselves especially with agents trying to get to the trough?
-
Probably true but Reading supporters I know as I live in Berkshire think he did quite well with injuries and never thought the squad were realistically promotion material
-
I was listening to a discussion on the Radio the other night where the pundits were saying it is highly unlikely any club like us Newcastle Aston Villa will break into the top 6/7 so what is the point ****ing £30m and I think that is realistic. Buying Continental/South American players who are not top notch has not guaranteed success for many clubs Saints included
-
I agree with you completely we will get someone quite good I expect
-
I was pleased when he left because I thought that would be the end of fans thinking we would ever reach the CL Clearly I was wrong
-
Lets be realistic our very good players will want to play at the highest level the CL and it will not happen at St Mary's so some will leave So we will have to build a team again as buying second rate expensive players has not seemed to have worked I have no idea where we will finish next season as we dont know who will be still here but I doubt we will be a high as 8th with possibly no Louvren Shaw and Lallana
-
Excellent Post Extremely Realistic Players and Managers will come and go but Fans will be here for ever in my case 52 years
-
Meanwhile in the real world players move to better clubs like Clyne and Jrod have done in the last couple of years
