  1. Yes I would a trip to Wembley red and white and an easy fifth round FA Cup tie:D
  2. No Managers come and go This Group of players would perform under any reasonable manager
  3. One of the best results of the season coming back against the league leaders without Rickie Dani Gaston Victor and Louvren
  4. How bloody typical we just need to convert our chances it is the same most games
  5. So where is J WP ?
  6. NC is not a particularly nice person I am pleased he has gone some of the things he did not enhance the reputation of SFC. We were very lucky to have recruited Boruc otherwise we would have been relegated last season
  7. From my United Mate 20 mins from the end I'm still not sure we're going to get there watching this - my fingernails are getting shorter and shorter. I've also long since given up going to finals - after 1999, it was never going to be the same. Basically, we've got 2 **** fullbacks, we're soft in the middle, no decent midfield and no threat up front!!! Hard to believe these same players won the league by 11 points last May. I think he thinks they are rubbish like when we watched MLT score 2 when we beat them 4 0 in 1986 in Atkinson's last match
  8. I remember seeing him play his first game for us at Old Trafford he was 16 years old then cannot believe it was 34 years ago
  9. I wont feel duped because players come and go that is football but I do care how my club has been run in a slightly unethical way where alternative ideas have been rejected things may now improve in that area
  10. Totally agree having advisors and a new top management team is going to be good for the club a couple of new signings would be good
  11. Cant see the club being sold in the short term now
  12. I suggest that you read about him in the echo seems to have an ideal background - a life long saints fan too
  13. n June 2008 we had a PL type club we a good reputation a good academy a loyal and large fanbase and a new Stadium but no money owing to a lack of investment in the Lowe years and before and financial mismangement by Wilde/Crouch In July 2008 we got the missing ingredient money so it is not surprising that with the Club's back ground we are now a force to be reckoned with. Although Cortese got praised for the rise of the club I am certain lots of people could have achieved the same success on the field without upsetting so many people within the club and the local community so I think the future is going to be bright but CL action off the agenda

  15. Bloody Hell Wes I think this is your best post over the last few years totally agree with you NC did really well with results on the field but could have done so much better if he had shown "good business practice when it comes to dealing with the Corporate clients, the fans or the Media/PR side of things"
  16. I was going to say that was a pretty dumb reply as you have not explained why you came to that conclusion but I wont because I dont think being rude on the forum achieves much Surely his Lordship is correct when he said MP would leave if NC left just to carry favour with the boss MP worked for SFC not NC as do the players At the moment all that has happened is that we have lost a CEO who upset too many people appeared not to listen to sensible advice leading to the club getting loads of bad press and wanting no interference from the lady who owned the club. Hopefully the club will have a more ethical outlook with a more inclusive style of management in the future players managers coaches possibly owners and other staff will come and go but SFC will continue to exist and we will have more great memories of deeds on the pitch and see great players in the red and white stripes again
  17. Why would a Billionaire/Multi Millionaire want to employ NC who clearly wants to do things his own way a new owner would want things done his way no doubt. But who knows whether the club is up for sale all we know is that NC has gone although we dont know why possibly because the Lieberrs wanted a more structured way the club was being run with a board directors having reponsibility for particular areas
  18. I agree totally with the first part of your quote but not the second Pompey were screwed by greedy foreign investors which could happen to any club I for one hope they survive I know a few of their fans and they deserve better
  19. Well that will not happen because NC is not the owner just an employee The owner will want to make all the major the decisions I would have thought not the hired help Most agreed with NC's Vision but it was going to cost millions of someone else's money
  20. Having a rich owner of SFC does have its draw backs especially one not interested in football with no vision and not running the club NC lets face it is just an employee and probably wants more control and more salary. Unfortunate Situation for all concerned
  21. Lawful killing doesn't mean that he should have been killed. It means it was in the parameters of the law to use deadly force apparently Which seems OK but I still find it unacceptable that the Old Bill can Panic and shoot somebody like that Brazilian bloke years ago and get away with it
  22. http://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2014/jan/08/mark-duggan-lawfully-killed-inquest So a man with no gun is shot lawfully by the Old Bill Seems a bit harsh to me Surely the police involved should be sacked because of complete incompetence They also want Water Canon as well http://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2014/jan/08/met-police-water-cannon-britain
  23. My sentiments entirely dont think he is a player any more
  24. I am quite surprised to say that I completely agree with what you are saying we have not done that well in the Transfer. I think we have been very lucky to have achieved 9th Position which realistically is nearly the highest we can achieve as I dont think that a team in League 1 four years ago can compete consistently with the clubs in position 1 to 7 who have built large squads over quite a long time. Yes you are right we are now playing the price of not having a large PL squad and not resolving the GK situation especially as Davis and Gassa were our preferred goalies 18 months ago we were very lucky to get Boruc but did very well to get him so fit My main gripe is that we got in a number of players over time and gave them relatively 'long' contracts when they were never going to be suitable for the PL but that is probably something very difficult to manage but we still have Fox Barnard Jos Forte Sharp still hanging about But it is really good to be in the top half of the PL with a relatively young squad much better than when we were high in the League with Strachan
  25. By better Refs do you mean those that agree with your Opinion The ones in the PL are the best in the country I doubt you could bring someone off the street who would be better than Clattenberg By the way what surprises me about the Everton incident is the way that the hand is flapping away from the ball after impact Would have been a harsh Penalty as the ball was a long way from goal and there seemed to be cover and it was very near the defender in the first place
