  1. I think you maybe wrong there
  2. Would a CB want to come if Lovren was still here
  3. As I am not an agent but a Saints fan I am still surprised that we have not got more players in to make our squad stronger the club suggests that it has targets but as I said there is still time. Other clubs seem to be recruiting OK but all we seem to have done is replace sold players but no enhanced the squad as yet I do think the new players are very good signings
  4. I feel virtually the same just a bit surprised that after Reeds comments about the scouting there has not been more activity but of course there is time
  5. Tottenham was the first club in the 20th century to achieve the League and FA Cup Double, winning both competitions in the 1960–61 season. After successfully defending the FA Cup in 1962, in 1963 it became the first British club to win a UEFA club competition – the European Cup Winners' Cup.[4] In 1967 it won the FA Cup for a third time in the 1960s. In the 1970s Tottenham won the League Cup on two occasions and was the inaugural winner of the UEFA Cup in 1972, becoming the first British club to win two different major European trophies. In the 1980s Spurs won several trophies: the FA Cup twice, FA Community Shield and the UEFA Cup in 1984. In the 1990s the club won the FA Cup and the League Cup. When it won the League Cup once more in 2008, it meant that it had won a major trophy in each of the last six decades – an achievement only matched by Manchester United.
  6. Why would a top player like him want to come to a Club like ours
  7. What on earth do you know about the situation it is hardly likely after spending £25m Lallana will not be an important part of the squad
  8. Alan Hansen reckons there are very few excellent CBs around at the moment Kompany accepted so and good CB is going to be in demand
  9. I hope so having been brought up on Paine and Sydenham I do like wide players creating chances for a good CF like Pelle Lets see what happens on Tuesday in the Friendly when we wont have any width I suppose
  10. I dont think weakened if Tadic can play a full 90 mins and Pelle can score a few goals. Our real problem I feel is no Jrod for sometime
  11. Just think Cork as a squad player I must admit a a good squad player never the less. Got to give JWP and Reed game time so thet can develop hopefully to become better than Cork
  12. Why do you want new contracts for Cork and Fonte they are contracted next season are they not so perhaps we can replace them then with better players I think your list is good but perhaps a wide player would be useful
  13. How do you know
  14. Why do you want Fonte to extend his contract we have I believe until next summer when he will be nearly 32 I would then like us to get in a New Younger and better CB Possibly Cork will be surplus to requirements too if Harry Reed and JWP develop But who knows
  15. So you are Bryan Adams?
  16. You maybe right but on the other hand you may be wrong I just think Tadic and Koeman fwill be more effective for the whole ninety mins I got the feeling that we did not score many goals in the last 15 mins last season but only time will tell Having a really good second GK will also help I just think you have to accept we have lost players and may lose some more but look on the brightside unless you are a Brazilian. The club has money a great Academy loads of good players so the future is bright we may not finish 8th but unlike SFC under Strachan we dont have an ageing team
  17. There is no reason to think that we will not be one of the top also rans in the PL this season I can see Tadic being more effective than Lallana and although Shaw went for £30m he was not an out and out match winner. We are going to get in other Quality players to enhance the Squad and things will look a lot better by the end of the month. I think Koeman/Tadic better than Poch/Lallana
  18. I dont think you are thick there are many posters who really are PS It looks as though Tadic will sign tomorrow after his medical which seems excellent news after all the doom and gloom of last night and the shrieks of how incompetent the board are
  19. Are you saying the OP has made a Gaffe possibly from his Gaff
  20. Well put Sir
  21. I think you should reconsider being a Saints Fan as I dont think the Club will ever meet your expectations. We will have a difficult season but with fans like you criticsing all the time it is not going to help the situation in anyway
  22. I do like the ridiculous comments that the board is incompetent about Tadic Surely biding on a player that other top clubs appear to want shows that the scouting is top notch. Perhaps we should be bidding for crap players would that make the board look competant If we dont get Tadic it will show that the whole idea of us competing for a CL spot was complete bollix as players are more interested in money than incoherent dreams and they probably realise that CL football at St Mary's was never going to happen unless shed loads of money was to be spent. I cant blame KL for not wanting to give greedy players and greedy agents her money to get in extra players tp live the dream We only have to look at what happened to Pompey and Leeds when they spent too much also a risk analysis on the whole idea of spending £200m plus to get to the CL would highlight the stupidity of the whole idea We just have to accept that we will have to have a rebuilding phase which may take two or three years
  23. 1) They don’t need to sell players that is true but if players want to go there is nothing they can really do that will benefit the situation. However they have recruited an excellent coaching team which in some peoples eyes is better than the former one. They understand the importance of the History of SFC are trying to communicate with the fans don’t seem to be upsetting local suppliers and the staff at St Mary’s. Also they are trying to address the commercial failings of the old regime so all in all progress is being made. Players will come in and games will be won and lost 2) There is no evidence that they want to make savings as you suggest 3) The club have put in bids to replace Lambert and Lallana and have decided to try out Targett in place of Shaw At present no one else has left although SFC are apparently looking at Caulker and the Celtic CB if Louvren goes having rejected a Liverpool bid 4) It is impossible to do this if Players want to leave. How do you work out which players should go when. Lining up replacement players is not a particularly good ploy if you are trying to get players to stay and get the best deal from the buying club. 5) I would expect the Club are doing this there is no evidence that they are not. 6) The players all seem to be motivated from Tweets and Interviews - Perhaps they do not want to give Fonte another long contract as he is getting to age where there may have been alternatives Mopo was not a fan of Cork so may not have wanted him to have another contract. But it is not a particular problem at the moment I would have thought 7) The youth teams coaches may have been sacked for some bad behaviour they were not sacked because they were not up to the job you are not saying that the Club should have overlooked their indiscretions if they did in fact occur. I doubt the club wanted to lose players but it shows how well they were chosen and how well they have been developed by SFC surely a plus point Getting £30 m for an 18 year old is a remarkable achievement. The players who have gone so far are going to World Class Clubs it is very difficult to persuade players to stay if Man U Liverpool or Arsenal come knocking and want to pay you mega bucks. 9)/10) Two pieces of Management Bull**** which the Club may or may not be able to do I am unable to see what else they could have done with all the money in the PL players are bound to want some of it and leave. We need to get behind the club as they try to manage the situation and not continually go on about what might have been and continually criticise things which are really out of their control. Some people seem to have little idea of what the board actually does even one said it was getting the run around and was amateurish when in fact the club is run on a day to day basis by the workers who have not changed for sometime. On the transfer front that have put in two good bids for players got serious money for Lallana and Shaw and rejected bids for Fonte and Louvren We are where we are but I fully expect SFC still to be in the PL at the end of this season as we have have a great coaching team and money to spend to strengthen the team lets face it Koeman has only been at the club a week
  24. So it is down to bad Management so what have the club done which is bad and what should they have done better PS Newcastle are about to lose their French CB to Arsenal
  25. I think your analysis is flawed so what makes think we weren't that far away as we hardly beat any of the teams above us although we did beat Liverpool who had Suarez missing
