Dennis Wise, Agostin Delgado, John Beresford, Barry Venison, Mark Walters, Uwe Rosler, Stuart Gray to name but a few For a while it was like an elephants' graveyard at Southampton as all these big-name players came to die (career-wise, at least) as we signed them up just as their knees gave way

Fair enough - I'll replace it with the Spinnaker Tower
-
Scott MacDonald?
-
Monk came from Torquay, I believe
-
Is that right? I'd never heard it before
-
He obviously has very little to occupy his time
-
If we're down before the last home game we should all do something to make the point, but if we still have a chance then we have to keep supporting
-
The problem is - what do you replace him with? (And please don't say Crouch)
-
Portsmouth - that's a name I hate & Fratton & Southsea & Cosham & Gunwharf & HMS Victory & I especially hate the M275

Find me any OS that doesn't spin the party line & I will be gobsmacked. It does what it says on the tin - Official Site Gossip and opinion is for sites like this

You really are struggling for things to moan about today, aren't you?

I think all the Three Stooges have to go. This site is a fair representation of the shareholders - divided, bitter, more interested in point scoring than finding solutions, more interested in seeing the others fail than all succeed together, and happy to go to sh1t as long as their enemies go to. Before anyone accuses me of being just the same as all the others (see above) I think all of the Three Stooges are equally to blame and equally incapable of taking us forward. I only sound pro-Rupert because I can see no prospect of change for the better before the end of the season & a bit of short-term unity behind the team (not the board) just might give us a chance to still be in the CCC come June

We might just win to prolong the misery. It is a terrible thing - hope
-
Absolutely. My point was really that both of them, like Saga seem to start off somewhere with a bang and go out with a whimper, and we signed all three for a long and expensive whimper
-
I will still renew - how could I ditch something that has been part of my life since 1970? But I am willing to make them work for it if somebody comes up with a suggestion that will have more impact than stomping down the High Street like 1970's Trade Unionist throwbacks (It didn't work then, either....)

Is there a young Ruperta at Cheltenham Ladies college that might do it as a favour for the old man
-
Interestingly Rasiak not in the Watford squad at all & John taken off at half-time by Bristol City Depending on your point of view - proof that they were never worth the ludicrous sums we paid (still are paying them) or a waste of 2 goalscorers hcdajfu Personally I'm with the former
-
I suggested something similar last week & got booed off of here Makes you wonder how many of the 'let's have a boycott or a protest' brigade are actually season ticket holders
-
He got sent off for Bournemouth reserves (I think) at salisbury for punching a fan that was giving him stick
-
How about Arry Redflap - we could all be united in our loathing of him
-
Exactly. And like we did with Strachan, as I recall. You don't know who is good and bad from 4 games

Saints Fans: I am prepared to give that Wotte chap a fair crack of the whip before I pass judgement on him
-
Peter Reid for Manager - campaign needed..
sidthesquid replied to Channon's Sideburns's topic in The Saints
Go on - give him a go - there must be more to him than that hairstyle, mustn't there........... -
Poll: Will y0u attend next season if lowe and wilde are still here?
sidthesquid replied to Mr X's topic in The Saints
Point is, we could be top of League One, then what? I would bet that attendances would be back up to 20K if we were doing a Leicester, regardless of who's in charge
