Poll: Will y0u attend next season if lowe and wilde are still here?
sidthesquid replied to Mr X's topic in The Saints
Nobody will answer my question FWIW I think Lowe's position has become untenable here, BUT I don't hate the guy. I think he is dancing to the bank's tune & putting a brave face on it, and I expect that Wotte will fail, but I hope I'm wrong. I expect us to be in League One, so it is a valid question that no-body will answer -

May I just say you need to get out more. That is eight years, about ten managers, a cup final, a Europe, a relegation and a play-off ago

This doesn't apply to you anyway. It is a genuine question that has only received a couple of genuine answers. I know the scenario is not that likely, but not impossible -
Really boring, I know, for all you marchers and pitch invaders and website commandos, but season tickets are the key. ST holders are the core of the club, not overseas mitherers and those that boycott home games for their own reasons - you have no power over the club, but we do. Quite soon the club are going to be after our money again on the early-bird renewals. If everyone (who wishes to) sends back a letter (possibly a pro-forma) stating that you will not renew at present but guarantee to do so the day after Lowe/Wilde/Crouch etc are no longer involved in the club, I believe that that would make them stop and think.

If only we had the money If only we'd persuaded Euell & Skacel to go If only I'd won the lottery

The only way any Saints player is considered good on here is after they left. Ostlund, Wright & Licka were all part of the squad that took us to the brink of relegation last season so no. They may not be much worse than what we currently have, but tey are certainly no better

Genuine question: Imagine next season - whichever league we are in - Lowe is still there, and Wotte, but we get off to a flier and are top by October, (unlikely I know) but will you continue to boycott the club? -
Wotte still here, Lowe still here....

SFC FOREVER: WE HAVE TO LET HIM HANG HIMSELF. Actually, that is probably the only sane & sensible comment in your rant Nothing is going to force Lowe out at present, because what happens then? He and Wilde clearly control (or are controlled by?) the majority of shareholders. Do they sell their shares for b*gger all? Unlikely Do they let arch-enemy Crouch get control for free? Unlikely Do we just drift into administration? Also unlikely, though possible Is there a White Knight, gagging to invest? Highly unlikely If we are relegated, admin looks inevitable which will solve the problem, though God knows what will happen then If we stay up it is just conceivable that we might be attractive to a buyer & it is just conceivable that Lowe & co can finally see the writing on the wall Nothing that fans do now will force them out because they haven't got anything to gain from it. They know they may as well sit it out. If we are either safe (ha ha) or relegated by the last home game, I agree that that is the time to protest. Surely as supporters of our club, regardless of who is chairman, we should support our pretty cr*p team in the meantime and hope we avoid relegation -

I don't think anyone disagrees with your comments about Lowe - my position has always been, please, come up with something else that is positive and I'll back it. Crouch is not the answer - he proved that last year, even supposing his is willing or financially able to do so. And that is the most imaginitive plan. Everything else on here is spite and negativity for the sake of it. We are all p*ssed off, but kicking the dog (in this case Wotte) has never yet made the problem solve itself. For what it's worth, I still believe the time for a bloodbath is after the season ends, not now. Every possible outcome is going to be better if we are still a CCC team in May and other than turning out to support our pretty useless squad through the next fourteen games, everything else is pointless -

I love the Saints more than I hate Lowe. It saddens & disturbs me that people hate one man more than they care about the club they claim to support -

Maybe - who knows. I thought he was reserver team coach. The point is, he has given what we were crying out for but still they ain't good enough -

Amesbury Saint: There needs to be a series of planned and coordinated demonstrations over the next few months both inside and outside the ground, both on match days and other days. All within the law. With the aim of ensuring the current Board resign. So, when the board resigns, then what? Every bright idea presupposes somebody with a few million quid to spare wants to take us over but other than the usual hollow rumours, I see no evidence -

It is not Wotte's fault (well, not entirely). They obviously tried today, he picked the team & the formation we all wanted, but you can't polish a t*rd, however good you are -

Why on earth would you think he could save us?
-
Truth is we are not good enough & haven't been all season. With the exception of McGoalshy that is pretty much the team everyone on here has been crying out for, but the end result is not much different to those of Jan's under 18s . Sounds like they tried hard, but just not good enough. Today was plan B - play all the old heads in a 4-4-2. Anyone have any clues as to what plan C is?
-
I'm not bothered if he stays or goes - second only in the huge disappointment stakes behind Rudi - Please somebody out there pay me ten grand a week - Skacel

Lose 3-2. 2-0 down at half time, fight back to 2-2 then scr*w it up

Quote from The Sun on Newsnow. Anyone know any more? Meanwhile, Jason Euell has pleaded with Saints to resolve his future so he can resume his career. The midfielder, 32, has been frozen out of the side for financial reasons. He said: “I’ve had an approach from the Colorado Rapids but am still in limbo as I’ve had no straight answers from Southampton.”

Sometimes I think people make these things up to set off another whinge-fest against the board. Is there an agenda here or were you just bored?
