I think a signing in the RL mould is more likely than Waigo (based on Pardew saying he wanted to sign a player like that) Perhaps a lower league player, anyone know if any of our trialists are similar to RL in terms of attributes?

Anyone know whats happened to him? I know the Echo revealed he had been training with the squad but theres been no mention of him in Switzerland or training with the U18s (+Pulis) and I presume with the signings of Richardson and Butterfield that there is no space for him in the squad. Anyone know anything or if he is training with a new team?

Excellent, I have no concerns about the defence now whatsoever (Butterfield can play RB and CB I believe,as well as CM). Very pleased with this signing. One or 2 midfielders, a striker and a replacement for Bart and we'll be there.

I would take him back as back up for RL (in the sense that he is a targetman) provided he was very cheap.However, he simply wouldn't bring many of the qualities that RL brings to the team (i.e movement and workrate)

I think thats not a bad idea actually though i'd personally alter it slightly in that like the Hawkeye system in Wimbledon in the player succesfully challenges a decision he gets that challenge back and that the captain should be booked if he uses them all up in a single half or something
