Anynews on when the new patch is out? -
I believe when we had our first good period of form that all the players were fit and Wotton was among them
-
I disagree, could he have not done the Wotton role very well?
-
I take it the OP is suggesting that this transfer made by Exeter has come through the proceeds of the sale of Seabourne
-
Well said. Money does not guarantee success, it will still be a long term process in most cases. It has certainly not worked at QPR and Man City seem to be heading in the right direction. Chelsea may have had a bit of success from Russian money but they still had a far more solid foundation (didn't they finish 4th before being taken over?) to build open. Whereas ourselves and City were clubs more in disarray before we had our takeovers and it has taken that money to restore us to a level footing.

To resort to an old footballing cliche 'the table never lies'. First XI of both teams, I would say that saints may just edge it but in terms of depth leeds are still stronger than us I feel (this was certainly the case before January hence the difference in points as the majority of those were collected before the transfer window). We are not performing so well at the minute due to injuries to that first XI and tiredness and as a result our form has dipped.

I think Leeds squad is better than ours IMO
-
Putting him in the shop window much?
-
Would be quality back up IMO, just wonder what this means for Connelly...
-
I presume that he is speculating that as Doncaster have signed a midfielder that it could be a replacement for Stock. Though it could be a replacement for Gillett...

Sorry if i'm being thick but on the what?

Here, here. It would be a great shame for a great rivalry to die out. I believe a lot of other football fans also see this as a great derby fixture. It was interesting to see on the Robbo Robson blog on the bbc sport website and it was interesting to see that he described it as "It'll make City-United at Eastlands look like a bit of a fracas at the local bridge club". Shows that it is one of the better rivalries in english football and would be a shame to lose it. Can never imagine us having a similar rivalry with Reading, Bournemouth etc...

Play offs without a doubt. That way we'll meet them next season in the championship and be able to kick their arses both home and away. Simples.
-
Agree with this. He would undoubtedly be the best man for the job.
-
-
Would be nice to see Man City v Chelsea in the next round
-
Seabourne is IMHO a long term option (and on the plus side he keeps Lancashire away from the first team) and Jaidi and Perry are both aging players (I have doubts if Perry will be be here next season - especially if we go up a league) and unable to play every game. Otsemebor is a stop gap as I dont think we will see Murty back regularly and Pardew has said that Thomas is too expensive for this league and before recent performances would have been looking to get rid of him All IMHO
-
That would be a good shout
-
Can anyone at the game, answer how he got on? Do we really need to sign another player if he is capable of doing a job for us and showed it today?
-
Its got to be the Skates at home. Though I wouldnt say no to Cardiff Away
-
A team in Romania by any chance??
-
Cant really argue with that
-
Im not so sure why people are so relieved he has not signed for us, if we were looking for a backup striker he'd be perfect IMO and why not offer him a 6 month contract if we have doubts about him making the step up next season like we did with JO and it would motivate him like it did when he was playing for Carlisle. At the end of the day for all those who have slagged him off, he has gone to a team who are above us in the league, in a playoff position with 2 games in hand over the majority of those competing for the places, so he can't be all that bad.
-
Aren't they a bit unsound financially at the minute? Perhaps Ostemobor was too expensive for them to keep if they had other RB options
-
I've just spoken to my liverpool supporting flat mate. Unbelievably he is still following the 'In Rafa we trust' idea and blames everyone but Rafa, particularly the board (which is fair enough IMO) but also the players! I didnt point out to him that they're all Benitez's players so at the end of the day it was his fault!
