  1. Won't get a CVA with that though. Not if we owe HMRC 2 million and there are football debts. If we owe the taxman 2 million they'll want all of it before they let us off the hook.I believe there's a stadium payment due soon as well, thet'll be another 1.8 million on the ever increasing debt as well.
  2. But Kevin we aren't actually any sort of option. We're in administration with massive debts and no secure future. There will be no signings until our very existence is confirmed. all speculation about signings is just a waste of time just now.Right now Brentford or Millwall or Swindon Town are better options because they'll still be there next season for sure.
  3. But it wasn't so great as to accept it on the spot either was it? If the first offer had been any good it would have been accepted, it wasn't so that tells us a lot about it. I mean why would people want to buy the club,it won't interest serious investors because there's no money to be made and a big debt to be tackled. It's got to be people who are interested in Saints football and those aren't legion. We've been looking for investment for 3 years now and haven't found much.
  4. Anyway if reports of the 'offers' are anywhere near correct he'd need to cut back to about 3K/week to be of any interest to us.Blokes like him with a year left on his contract at 12K (apparently) a week are just a turn off to any prospective buyer. So someone buys the club for a reasonable sum, there's no guarantee that we can offload him and in theory he'd be able to shaft us for 12K a week all next season as well,in League 1 if you please.Don't forget he signed fully under Wilde so probably doesn't have a relegation clause in his contract.
  5. He can be cheap as chips and would still make no difference to us unless we get someone to buy out the club as a going concern.
  6. Who thought he was great then he's just an administrator after all. We don't really know what he's been doing apart from a few soundbites. Don't see that he's any different from any other administrator really.
  7. Won't damage them at all, they'll be plenty of Barclay's Bank clients who'll be as pleased as punch if we go under. It's only football and SFC isn't a global brand.
  8. Having the funds doesn't necessarily mean they're offering them. I think the proof of funds stage was before we got relegated or hit with a 10 point deduction. The candidates have assessed the clubs position and potential and have apparently made initial offers. Other than that we know nothing. However going by some of the speculative posts on this forum it would appear that certain think that the whole affair could be obtained for 8 or 10 million £, which probably isn't correct.I'm sure that if push came to shove the stadium could be sold of for around 10 million and the other bits and pieces for another 8 or so. So no offer under 15/16 million would be accepted for total debt wipe out (IMO of course). After that it's all just posturing and negociation but it is taking too long (once again IMO) . The bank and the other creditors won't wait for ever, another month and it'll be all over, but then the admins know that, so do the bidders.
  9. I think a lot of fans travel up from Milwaukee and Madison as well; 100K population is deceptive. There are over 1.5 million in Greater Milwaukee.
  10. They might have gone to the cricket, or have more worthy pursuits today.
  11. Do you know what's on offer then?? Could be derisory sums (for the time being). doubt if the admins will accept 5 or 6 million or silly figures like that.
  12. Hooker probably told him, MB doesn't do plumbers, taxi drivers or hairdressers.
  13. The rumour was that Rasiak ratted Burley out about drinking and wenching but it was just a forum story so probably not true.
  14. They must think they'll get more if they wind us up then. 15/20 million was probably the ante, less than that they'll get by selling us up lock stock and barrel.
  15. Tomorrow, tomorrow I love you tomorrow, you're always a day away. Annie?? or That you'll ever see. I know it's only a day away. And it's always in the future ... Dropped one by one into the sea. I know forever's just a day away .. Barclay James Harvest,
  16. It'd have to be more than the 100K we'll have to pay him from here to the end of June though.
  17. Pinnacle is some sort of negociating tool, MLT is making the right noises in public for them, other than that we know nothing about the "client" of Pinnacle.
  18. Yes so what does that say, he's had talks with them, they may have outlined their plans and asked him to back them in public, that's all. If he was in the consortium he wouldn't be having talks with it, he'd be shutting the f*ck up.
  19. I don't know where you all got the idea that MLT is actively involved in a consortium from. He isn't, he's endorsing one, perhaps others but has (?) no active involvement in any of them.
  20. Strange that, being made redundant, means they can't appoint a manager for the next xxx years doesn't it. If you make someone redundant you can't offer the same role to someone else.Perhaps the BBC made a terminalogical inexactitude.
  21. Depends if he's got a relegation clause in his contract which would mean him getting what he's worth, 500£ a week.
  22. Agreed, when obsessions start costing you money you have to seek help.
  23. Algie was Biggles wingman, have you no respect for the past:):)
  24. Could be just posturing in case they don't get better offers to be honest. Maybe KD will stay, as for the others I don't expect any of them to be here in August. Depends on the incoming (if that ever happens) management really. It's all very well saying, pay cuts, contracts, wants to ,doesn't want to, but just right now were not in a position to pay anybody for very long or renegociate anything or make offers. So it's just like any SFC takeover thread, all bullsh*t and no facts. Perhaps the new team will just say everybody out, we're starting from scratch at 15£ a week maximum.
  25. Dubai Philistine would be a better name then. Ken Barlow was one of the "stars" of Coronation St,think he might even have married Elsie Tanner at some time or other, everyone else did.
