  1. Could be something we could convert into money there, -6 for Brum and Wolves, only -1 for Reading. That must be worth 15 million or so ,no?
  2. [quote=derry;261168 You couldn't make it up, even the bloody bucket must have a sealed lid. It all sounds very like Phoebe with her Xmas charity collect outside Bloomingdale's.
  3. And yet people say they have tickets in the corners. Same old Saints, everything always has a Mulder and Scully mystery planing over it.
  4. Must be joking right? Probably not counting the STs or something.
  5. I thought the corners were staying shut unless all the other space had been taken up. There will probably be 22K there today.
  6. We will win, everyone will be euphoric.
  7. the sign of "support" will be what's in the buckets.
  8. don't kid yourself.Portsmouth are in the Premiership with a guaranteed income of somewhere around 40 million a season. Plus they have players they could sell for at least 50 million. We have debts, few assets and are in the 3rd Division-one way or another..
  9. We don't have any other options, that's just the problem. Some players are paid far more than their performances merit so we can't actually employ any alternative who aren't 14 years old. I am surprised that so many of you can't see the basic problem. Our problem is 4 underperforming players who shaft the club for £40K every week, for that money we could get 8 reasonable ones and have some f*cking options.
  10. Cotterill and Holmes.
  11. I think you all vastly overestimate Skacel's ability.Either at left back or in midfield. He can play well, we know that, apparently he usually doesn't.
  12. In fact the CCC probably isn't the place for young or neophyte coaches. McCarthy,McCleish,Coppell,Dave Jones,Blackwell,Warnock, You have to come down to Martinez to find a neophyte. Even Coyle is in his 7th season of management already.
  13. I'm not making any accusations about his personal lifestyle cos I just don't give a sh*t but everywhere he goes there seems to be trouble with player discipline and often financial woes start the second after he leaves the place.
  14. I believe we actually had offers for players but they were laughable, not surprising when there are so many players available for loan in January. why would say Fulham want ot pay more than peanuts for Lallana when they can get a seasoned pro like Olivier Dacourt on loan from Inter Milan? Eventually loans have to be stopped, otherwise the Prem and the CCC will just become a parking space for every Italian,French and Portuguese player that's out of favour at his parent club.Financed by Sky Television
  15. So many managers who should do better fall by the wayside because of their players. I believe that's been our case for several years, except for Burley of course he was just bad, irrational in his player wish list and bad at managing his players. After his noble efforts Ipswich,Derby and ourselves have found their way into deep financial difficulties. The scourge of football-George Burley. I see he is now having player discipline problems with Scotland, claims that some of his staff gave them the nod to go drinking of course, surely he's the boss and there should be no confusion as to whether going drinking is on or not.
  16. Oh I don't know, 'bout 59 at the Dell, opposition was either Bradford City or Accrington Stanley, 2nd Game ? Plymouth Argyle, never forget those green and black shirts.Plus I think they hammered us.
  17. He wouldn't be used to getting roughed up,refs here in the younger categories are very quick with the red cards for anything resembling dangerous or over aggressive play.Lads like Schneiderlin need 20/30 minute run outs to get up to the pace of the CCC (or English game) So many hot young French have failed miserably in England and then gone on to do great things elsewhere.Wenger knows this and his lads are nurtured till they're ready.
  18. Perry is a good player but his lack of height and his lack of pace are beginning to get found out. Remember Lucketti? we'll be seeing him again at Huddersfield next season. Pity he wanted 2 years when we could only offer 1,
  19. Believe me I've seen him playing for France U19s and he really is a very, very good player. I just don't know what's gone wrong. I heard he was very unsettled and hates England but it's just hearsay.
  20. Wise might be going to QPR if they can't get..err some Spanish bloke or Paul Ince.
  21. You're preaching to the converted, no-one on this forum or it's predecessor has been more anti-stars that don't perform very often than myself.
  22. Yep, lived there for the first 18 years of my life, then for another 2 when finished at Uni.
  23. Which is why players should never be contracted at unsupportable salaries. I wouldn't give a halfpenny for fear that it would end up in Jason Euell's pocket. Fans should think long and hard before giving up their hard earned, you know where it will end up.
  24. All I remember about that day was going with a young lady from Moordown and a tub of mushy peas splattering all over a coppers helmet.
  25. I usually do, both drank with us occasionally in the Bitterne Park Hotel.
