  1. £28 for Ipswich, that's a joke. Same as them running for promotion. They've spent a lot of money and have nothing to show for it. Same as most teams in the CCC. Money isn't what you need, Swansea have shown that. What you need is a golden striker like Scotland. There's only 1 guaranteed formula to exit the CCC, hard case defense, really good striker that scores goals for fun and not money.
  2. No you can't, unless the fans are creditors (and you won't be) you have no say whatsoever in the matter. Fans might not go to games in the future but on the credit front you're done for.
  3. As far as I know once in company comes out of administration by way of a CVA debts don't get paid off any more.If they all take whatever is offered that's it, there isn't any more paying off, because the original entity is deceased and has been bought out by a new entity. I think the loan on the stadium would be ongoing but that's all. All the rest agree to take whatever is on offer and call it quits. What matters is how much the new entity is prepared to pay to old creditors, if the sum is acceptable to all because they believe it's the best they'll get that's it.
  4. Take your pick Wright Phillips or Euell. Although Euell is perceived as more of a midfielder nowadays. I think he was very lightly used by Burley last season. In fact you have to wonder exactly why Burley signed him at all.Only when Pearson got here did he seem to make a significant contribution.
  5. anyway we could get Sir Alex but until we get a striker who can strike it wouldn't make any difference. We've had shedloads of strikers in the recent past, they all have the same problem; They are mute, they can't score for toffee etc etc. We only scored 56 goals last season and we're on just 29 this season. I mean 56 goals when you employ 4 strikers at a combined weekly wage of nigh on 40K is a joke isn't it?
  6. No women on French subs. GI Jeanne hasn't made it here either.
  7. I hear not, but then you probably won't believe it will you.
  8. I think I have to re-iterate again here that it is highly unlikely that we've paid anywhere near 1 million £ to RCS as of this time. Morgan's agent said at the time of the transfer, again I don't know why, he just did ,that Arsenal are in some way involved in the affair. How and why I don't know. He said it that's all. Perhaps they loaned us the money,or that they have first refusal, I just don't know.
  9. The share price is of no importance because it oscillates between 15p and 18p of late. The time for selling bits and bobs of shares is long gone. At 15p you might just as well as hold on to whatever you have because the price won't rise unless there is a major shake-up.
  10. it says we can't score from easy chances. I am a firm believer that any footballer who is on a professional contract with a League side should be able to slot the ball into an open goal from 9 yards, which is what Lallana didn't do against Blackpool. Euell missed 2 easy goals on Saturday. Our whole season has been categorised by missing easy chances. that's nothing to do with the age or experience of the players or who's in the boardroom or on the manager's bench. It is basic football.I have seen kids on parks slot in some of the stuff we've put wide this season. To me it doesn't matter how we play, good bad or indifferent, we've been all of them this season, the common factor is that we can't do what football is about, stick the ball in the net.
  11. No they only have(or had) 1.57% most of them bought at 60p and +. Why??? who knows, cash rich company having a punt maybe. Ligertwood may be the reason but it sure made no sense to me.
  12. the buyer without a doubt. Someone is confident enough to keep on punting.
  13. Not that minor.I suspect were looking at someone with about 400/500K shares
  14. Did Pearson sign any efficient strikers, other than Pericard that is? Strikers who score goals are at at premium, finding one who's hanging around waiting to be plucked off the peg at this stage of the season is very doubtful. We needed to sort that in the transfer window really. I just hope that one that we already have remembers where the goal is.
  15. Free transfers are rarely free. Signing accomplished player on free transfers usually leads to significant outlay. ie Jason Euell. I think Lowe's plan was to avoid paying any signing on fees or transfer fees whatsoever. He made an exception for Schneiderlin but that hasn't worked out as well as planned.I don't think Morgan likes UK lower league football very much.
  16. Staff trying their best is insufficient.Doesn't matter how hard you "try" if you don't achieve results in an efficient manner. I know little about local government in the UK but I'd hazard a guess that the Peter Principle is confirmed on a fairly constant basis.
  17. Billy Davies says the loan market is getting tougher and tougher. He says (well according to the BBC) that there are players available but that they are not desirable for whatever reason, either because they're bad news or injury prone.
  18. 22 Norwich 23 Watford 24 Charlton.
  19. Agreed on Redknapp. In my own opinion he is a good manager but if you cramp his style, as Rupert probably did, then you are going to get nothing out of him. If you want to get the best out of Harry you have to trust him, turn a blind eye to his methods and pay the bill.Otherwise whatever you pay him is likely to be pure waste. There are people like him in most walks of life,if you want results don't look too closely at how they're achieved.
  20. We did that yesterday though
  21. The club has been making wrong decisions for the last 10 years at least. I'd put the first one down as letting Souness walk away and Lawrie following him. Might even have been sacking Chris Nicholl though. All those wrong decisions, compared to very few right ones, have had a nocive effect on the club. Comedy of Errors about sums it up.
  22. Trouble is that some of their proposals demonstrate their tenous grasp on reality and have a negative effect on their credibility.
  23. Flowertown was always quite respectable before, has it gone downhill then.
