  1. Aurier can play on both sides that's for sure, seen more of him than I have of VdW, in fact I seem to remember promoting him in a (or some) HCDAJFU threads. Probably on less money as well, not everyone gets a million a month at PSG, just the fashion idols and Qatarian binkies.
  2. Elia I can pass on but I like Djuricic, needs toughening up though, didn't he play for the U21s again yesterday ? Probably part of the process.
  3. He was first choice for a fair while but of late he's been replaced by Maxwell, can't remember if he's a brazilian or an argentine but PSG just love South Americans. They also have Aurier as 3rd choice and are now looking to sign Sagna who's done nothing at City. VdW might be available, as to his suitability I couldn't really say, not seen a whole lot of him.
  4. 300000K € a month before deductions apparentlyx12 divided by 1.40 and 52 comes to about 50000K£ a week, he's second choice there just now so may be interested in a move.
  5. Given what they paid for Shaw I'd expect them to have a once bitten twice shy attitude. They'll not waste a similar amount again, then again Clyne is a far better player, Shaw was all hype and bluster.
  6. Spurs win would be best, we beat them and gain 2 places afterwards.
  7. Did he ? Altercations at training sessions happen elsewhere, clubs and players get over it in the main. We were desperate to get shot of him and so we did.
  8. Yes, as we made Morgan stay last summer. In this case it might cost them a couple of bob for reneging on their agreement with us but they get a good player back and they've had a get out of jail card on 5.2 million €s of salary this season. Toby stresses this every time, it's up to Atletico Madrid and no-one else, they hold all of the cards.
  9. But 2 of those are by our own choosing so we must have our reasons I suppose. Perhaps we could just not hack their salaries.
  10. In fact if he was on say 80K (or 5.2 million €s as he was at A.M) last summer when he joined he's now had an 11% or so euro pay rise so he cannot be unhappy about that. 80K£ then was roughly equivalent to the 100K€s weekly that he was reportedly getting, now those 80K£ would bring him about 112000€ per week, if indeed he got paid weekly which he doesn't. Depends of course where he spends most of his money but he's quids in in euros.
  11. Fee hasn't been agreed at all, there's a sum that they can buy out of and start again and that includes us. If AM do not want to sell him to us for 6.5 million £ (although the fee might have been in Euros and the £ equivalent will be less now) they give us 2 million euros and buy out of the arrangement and then name their new price. Where it gets choppy is if the agreed sum is very much higher, for instance RTBF (Belgian Telly) think it's nearer 12 million euros, there buying out of the agreement is far closer to his actual value. Toby keeps saying it's all down to Atletico and he has no say in the matter.
  12. Not that I can see, he's an essential player and stats show that we do less well without him. I'd give you 5 Mayas and 8 Gardoss for 1 Toby. Trouble is he may well end up out of our price range on the 2 fronts, fee and salary.
  13. In fact you have no idea what we can match or can't match. KBilly told us that we did not have the wherewithal to sign a striker in January and he's not one for making up crap just for the sake of it. I'd expect arrivals to be funded from sales as they were last summer, we have 2 potential sales and 3 or 4 places that need strengthening so doubt if we'll be blowing mega money on one player.
  14. I know that this is a Solent interview so sort of specific to Saints but in the earlier Sky/Fan magazine interview I don't think he said much at all about wanting to stay with Saints. So could be a good thing or just kowtowing to the average Saints fan to get an easier ride from the crowd for the last few home game....then again I'm a bigger cynic than St Crinny.
  15. He probably knows that 6.5 million £ is a ridiculously low price for him and that Atletico will want more. Although he does say he could well end up back in Madrid.
  16. Well of course the old unlikely, not unlikely couple is used often enough. In fact it probably means that he's more likely to return than not.
  17. Bloke needs to use a translator...then we'll know what he means.
  18. Where he already has a 20% stake but read on..................
  19. Constantly stopping games would lead them to become like NFL where a 1 hour game lasts somewhere around 3 hours or Rugby where an 80 minute game lasts nigh on 2 and a half hours. Whatismore I've noticed that in Rugby at least players are becoming more and more proficient in masking actions, falling down at the same time as a try scorer in a bit of a ruckuss sometimes stops the video ref seeing what happens really.
  20. Gardos really isn't a very good player, I mean he's average but for the fee we might have done better.
  21. I see that Dani scored twice again yesterday, one a penalty it's true. Perhaps Boca will be impressed and brass up the £1.50 transfer fee
  22. He's had a reasonable season but when up against cases like Dawson he's a bit soft centred still. He made that awful clearance because he couldn't handle Dawson's aggression, Toby ? well Dawson would have probably limped away from the challenge with a dead leg or something and the ball would probably have gone where Toby wanted it to go.
  23. Arsenal could easily turn over their 3-1 defeat, Monaco just aren't a good side....then again neither are Arsenal on occasions.
  24. Chelsea try to respect FFP, PSG....don't even know what it means. Chelsea have nowhere near the quality of players that PSG do....Qatar FC are in football for 1 thing only, winning the CL at any price, if they lost last night Blanc was sacked.
  25. Carburators no longer exist on any grand scale so it might inspire them to do a bit of historical research.
