  1. Not for the U21s it isn't, it's qualifying games.
  2. In fact Monday's action will no doubt be diminished by international calls-up. Most European nations have games next week, Thursday and Sunday seem to be the favourites and the training camps begin on Monday morning in most cases, early afternoon for those playing on Sunday perhaps. You can't be with your national team on Monday and somewhere else for a medical at the same time. Of course none of that will affrect second stringers I suppose. Take Redmond for example, with England U21s at St Georges from Sunday afty, think they're abroad for their first game so there's no way he's going to be anywhere concerning transfer affairs on Monday, it's today, tomorrow or Sunday morning or not at all for these players, unless of course all the admin etc has already been wrapped up and it's just down to fine print between clubs.
  3. Bombing forward yes but the end result was usually pretty dire. Now if he was fitter and had a bit more stamina then perhaps he would have a bit more lucidity to cross or shoot in a better manner. Seemed to spend most of his days off being chauffeur driven round London's finest emporiums. None to bright methinks, it will end up ruining his career.
  4. connected with him before, competiton from West Ham and another club of which I can't remember the name though.
  5. So basically it's just another bloke down the pub told me so story. Can't see it happening because I've heard nothing and that my contact at StE told me that was the case at last night's game. Relative of a player who has the same agent.
  6. last I heard Liverpool are favourites to sign Song, probably stay at Barca in the end. Apart from that I've just read that Sunderland are close to signing Alderweireld on loan, whether that's factual or not I just don't know but if it's not "realistic" for us how can it be for them.
  7. Morgan explained that when he came to Saints he ate a lot of crap as well and ended up pretty unfit and with niggles all of the time, went to a French dietician and got himself sorted out and his game got a lot better. Shaw will probably be a complete failure because he is weak minded, bit of a village idiot perhaps judging by his 3some text. Great work from the board to get so much for so little.
  8. Who knows, Yank innit, might help us sell 3 more shirts in the backwoods of Iowa or something.
  9. Isn't that just a month before the existing contract expires ?
  10. Foreign clubs I think, not UK clubs.
  11. David Selke ou mean.
  12. Yep, he did say that although I think it was until the end of the transfer window. In fact Koeman says a lot of things of which few seem to take much notice.
  13. FFF, L'Equipe, TF1,BFM, Infosport wherever you like. Squad was annouced at 2 french time today, no surprises, 21 out of 23 WC players, one has retired,Giroud is injured.
  14. Well Morgan has to be at Clairefontaine by 10 am come Monday, so it's by Sunday afty or not at all.
  15. Pablo Betancourt spoke about Gaston's future with Saints back in the summer, said Koeman wanted to consider all the players and then make his decisions. If Gaston is allowed to go to Seville or anywhere else we'd have to assume that Koeman has decided against him.
  16. No it isn't, he needs to go to resurrect his career. Being dropped by Uruguay must have been a tipping point for him. Still it's only a Marca rumour for the time being.
  17. Taider doesn't seem to be getting much game time at all really, has he played in a competitive first team game so far ?
  18. Belhanda is like Rojo and Alderweireld, we don't have the status to sign such a player, wouldn't want to myself, he's a bit of a knob, good player when he wants to be, knob constantly.
  19. You could probably get several Redmonds for 15 million, anyway the synopsis of Morgan leaving would no doubt bring Townsend so we wouldn't need Redmond, won't happen though.
  20. We got Lovren and Victor last season when "top" clubs were umming and aahing over them but procrastinating overmuch. Doubt if we could sign either of them now if you see what I mean.
  21. RK doesn't seem to want him and Gaston won't want to lose any more time on the periphery of the team. His agent said as much back in July. Been dropped by Uruguay you know, that must have p*ssed him off no end.
  22. As with Rojo and no doubt others we no longer have the status to sign that sort of player. The won't give up their participation in European Competition easily, we can offer whatever we like but not what they want. Some seem to vastly underestimate the standing European competitions give a player.
  23. Gaston is rumoured to be on his way out, all over Marca this morning, a colleague brought it to my attention.
