Crushed...that's about all you can say really. Our poor bowling will never permit us to live with the best in any form of the game just now.

Whether we're intending to keep him or not is of little import, at the last I heard albeit 3rd hand he had absolutely no intention of staying. Now it's just a case of when and how much.
-
What did i say on the subject yesterday, the're using him to "leak" what they want known, if that wasn't the case he would have been gagged long ago.
-
Well obviously yes, they're making money, isn't that the aim of all boards. Nigh on 80 million from the PL, 60 odd soon to be 90 odd million in transfer fees, sell a few home made shirts, few STs for another few million. Couple of hundred mill in and far less than half of that out. Club was a gold mine, just needed someone who knew how to turn it into banknotes.

Now going to Liverpool instead of Arsenal wtf is that all about then, apparently it's on Sky, perhaps we saved money on a taxi for he and Lovren today.
-
Depends on who he has as an agent, certain of them won't do business without one. Not common in UK football though.
-
perhaps we can't, why do you think Arsenal got Debuchy for 11 million and Liverpool are getting Remy for 8 and a half. It's called a release clause. We surely can't be stupid enough to not accept that some of our players may have them as well. Agents love em.

One day cup starts for us today, away at Derby. Not a great start though because our bowling seems to be taking a bit of a pasting so far, they're 165/2 off of about 28 overs. Assume it's 50 overs a side so at that rate we'll be looking at 270 minimum. Now if we had Bazza and Flats I wouldn't worry about such a meagre target but as it stands..err not so much Edit: Looks like I'd caught a dose of over optimism from the football threads. We're going to be looking at way over 300.

Who would buy Staplewood ? Not much demand for state of the art training centres with one careful lady owner. That will be sold with the shell of the club in a year or so i expect.
-
but they were probably ill, suffering from an instantaneous bout of depression at the thought of being sold by a club that they love for very little money. Oh no, that can't be right. Now on to last night's commentary. Commentator was crap but enough of that, Sibley on the other hand was absolutely transparently sick making, kept bigging up the players brought in to replace those who we've sold, that's OK they weren't bad but neither were other players for whom he had not a word to say.
-
Lukaku played well for Everton, he also cost them a loan fee in the region of 5 million £ plus a heavy salary. A year on they still don't have a striker worth the name. Chelsea on the other hand now have a player with an elevated reputation built on the back of someone else's money. Pity he was so wonk at the WC because they're having difficulty cashing in on that, Mou doesn't fancy him obviously.

We're not falling apart, we're being taken apart. Woman probably wants to take her money back and let us get on with what's left. That's OK by me, just needs to make it plain and let us be.

Try buying a copy in English, tried to get a French copy even, out of print, don't read German myself.

Matt Targett, reduced in his dutch accent to Margett...not unprobable.

Once again it depends on circumstances, even young players have contractual clauses nowadays which enable them to dictate their terms on certain matters. The ease with which Chambers appears to be leaving (if reports are correct) tells me that he had some sort of get out clause in his 2013 contract. In fact so many of our players contracts seem to date back to early 2013 when we weren't doing all that well so they could contain future behaviour clauses. It would kind of explain why despite all of our foot stamping and screaming until we're sick the players leave without the offers being significantly increased. Now take Shaw, Corky and VFFT have always maintained that he'd leave for 27.5 million£ and that goes way way back. OK Chelsea didn't buy him but Utd did and for the same sum. Says to me that somewhere in his contract 27 milion was a key to his departure.

A group which NC ran for 2 years from his desk at SMS. It's exactly that, the ease with which the whole group had been wound down to virtually nothing apart from an investment branch without making a single ripple on the global markets tells you that it wasn't an industrial monster in any way shape or form.
-
Won't sign for us anyway. Better offers from elsewhere undoubtedly.
-
So what, Krueger probably wrote the script for him. Reed is a non-entity.
-
If you say so then, not that you'll ever be able to show me a grain of proof to support your assertions of course.

She is probably not a billionaire, well might be in Swiss Francs I suppose, there has always been confusion over this, the popular press just lumped the estimated dollar fortune of the entire Liebherr family onto our chap and everyone gobbled it up. Probably pretty rich by normal standards though.

We weren't far from anyone's level until we had to play the dross because we had no other options available. that is the root cause of all of the problems, we lacked the proverbial ha'porth of tar and spoilt the ship for want of it. I just can't quite understand why so many refuse to see this. Our position wasn't unresolvable last New Year, we just needed a little effort, a keeper and a CB, KL refused to fund it and the wheels fell off. P*sses me off no end. I am convinced that the players queuing up to leave see it this way as well.

Lallana Likely out of the Liverpool Game
Window Cleaner replied to Dan Johnson's topic in The Saints
Out for at least 6 weeks apparently, or haven't Liverpool told that to the UK media yet ? -
And there was me writing this off yesterday as a far fetched rumour. Still hasn't happened yet, may not. Perhaps Chambers is the one with an agent who was spouting off on Five Live the other day, well according to DD that is.

Looks to be of a different class actually.
