  1. Who knows, Rickie or Morgan I guess unless MP goes for Gaston to relay his instructions more efficiently. Then again Gaston's english might not be great either. Anyone who can lead from the front will do for me.
  2. club captain still isn't he?
  3. two birds one stone, Jiminez is Pochettino's assistant and a GK coach to boot,Davis will probably be out of here to the next club that puts in a loan offer. I put up a link to all this yesterday on another thread with exactly the same subject. http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?42576-Who-are-the-back-room-staff
  4. you never know, in theory we'll be lucky to escape with a short defeat but the Utd that I saw yesterday were not world beaters and their CBs looked fragile, probably due to the incessant snow. Mind you they'd had a toughy midweek I think against West Ham.
  5. Spurs beat them due mainly to a Balefest, which is why they had Phil Jones a centre back at RM yesterday and Cleverley at LM instead of Valencia.
  6. Not getting upset, just said that Utd looked beatable yesterday, what's wrong with that ?
  7. I don't know, United looked distinctly beatable yesterday, if only Dempsey could finish properly most of the time Spurs probably would have won. Maybe Utd will put out a better side against us though and not cut off their nose to spite their face because they were afraid of Bale.
  8. but would we have lost if we'd been drawn at home to say Gillingham ? I believe we let it go against Chelsea in the cup though once it was obvious that we couldn't win outright.
  9. Nice article but it merely looks like a very well expressed précis of some of the more objective posts in our Nigel Sacked thread. All of those points were made in it, they were just completely ignored or obscured by ridiculous outpourings of support for Adkins.
  10. can't be right, we could not possibly have known that we were going out of the FA Cup in the 3rd round. There was a trip arranged to Malta in the next IB but I think we moved that forward to the gap in the fixtures occasioned by the Chelsea game postponement. I'm sure they went to Malta and kept PDQ about it. Sunseekers thingy and then they were woefully bad against Sunderland.
  11. I'd have thought trhat our odds shortening would have more to do with the points gained by QPR,Villa and Reading than anything else. The Reading win changes a lot in the bottom 6 or 7
  12. think he meant Philistine anway, education and religion are not intrinsically interlinked
  13. pretty tame compared to the one that got PSG fined a packet and a couple of home games behind closed doors a while back. http://www.lexpress.fr/medias/1204/616464_psg-lens.jpg
  14. just as the VMAN told us last week, don't know why people keep harping on about this.
  15. the descendants of M Liebherr have no part in running anything. All Liebherr enterprises are now run by Cortese and a Zurich liquidator called Werner. Only Mali Holdings remains, all the rest have been absorbed or liquidated.
  16. Needs to "pigeon" the English a bit though. Bloke is portrayed as having a better grasp of English spelling and grammar than half of our regulars.
  17. that's what I thought, they did buck up a bit in the second half though. Miss too many chances and their midfield is weak. Still I guess Arsene won't care, probably be at PSG next season anyway. End of an era at Arsenal. No CL qualification and no Arsene.
  18. How many do we play at the back now then? Always thought it was 4 myself. You learn something every day.
  19. Not quite like us, they don't have the 4 or 5 top quality players that NA inherited at Saints. It's those that make the difference. Lambert, Lallana, Schneiderlin, Fonte, Puncheon, here when he came, still here when he's gone and not one of them has let us down at the highest level. Players like these would cost you a collective 25/30 million at today's prices. Some of NA's signings were absolute crap, fortunately for him he had the base gifted to him.
  20. sure about that? I watched about half of the opening game and to be frank I've seen better matches on Bitterne Park Rec, Road Sea -Midanbury Sports cup game sort of thing.
  21. to sit on the bench exactly the same as the 2 they were replacing. It was something that NA wouldn't budge on. KD was his number 1 for the season, end of story. When it became evident that he wasn't a PL keeper, something that was already suspected, the "TC" brought in Boruc obviously against NA's wishes.
  22. I hope it's him and not the other Tony Jiminez, football's Mr Fxit of Newcastle and Charlton infamy.
  23. isn't this bloke supposed to be his assistant . http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antonio_Jim%C3%A9nez_Sistachs
  24. probably seen every one of our games since last November and videos of all the others this season.
  25. Something which I have told you all time after time. I know it's true because I got it indirectly from a former Saints keeper.
