like I told you on the other thread Roger there are tickets for sale on the Brighton forum, quite a few if my eyes do not deceive me. You just have to register to their board (North Stand Chat) PM and negotiate. You could always ask our friend 1976 Child to go and get the ticket for you he lives around Brighton somewhere. If you want to go there are(al) ways and means..

Strikers are important but the creators that make them score....that's what we have that the others don't. Anyone who thinks that Mr New Striker will take the place of either Rickie or Guly on anything other than an occasional or part time basis is deluded. That's why we need someone with a bit more to him than sticking easy ones into the net, we have the players to do that already, they don't get injured often and they don't like being dropped or even subbed.
-
not really, going down and queueing up involves actual effort to try to obtain something that is in limited supply. No beef with multiple sales if it's online or over the phone but actually braving the elments for 5 or 6 hours to be denied because of someone who doesn't isn't fair in my mind.
-
Good for you, but I do think that for such a limited number of tickets the TO should sell them on a one person, one ticket basis to those who are actually present because the sight of one brave punter who'd been there most of the night walking away with tickets for 15 of his mates (and anyone else who stand him a drink in the pub as likely as not) would seriously get my goat had I queued up most of the night as well and then not got the precious sesame at the end of it.

And obviously very necessary, especially if we're going PL next year,Bart seems to be a disaster waiting to happen and Kelvin has his "moments" as well. Wouldn't look forward to going to Old Traff or Anfield with either of them in goal to be honest.

The official unofficial January transfer targets thread..

Chimbonda has been injured of late, may have started back last week or may be this week, can't remember all the details Think he's there for at least the rest of the season. -
But we have about 13 or 14000 ST holders, with there being just 3000 or so tickets for Pompey that left 11000 of them out in the cold, not that they'd all wanted to go to Nottarf Krap anyway. So we have another local'ish away game,so give all ST holders a chance this time because if not you reduce away games to a sort of clique.A cup final is different if only because there are far more tickets available, there would be at least 1 per ST holder so the problem doesn't really occur. I don't doubt that the non balloted sale of Brighton tickets was a calculated move by the club. On to this morning's sale of a few tickets, those that got them probably camped out all night so they deserve their reward far more than anyone who just turned up at 7.30 am full of full English and Cappucino.

So it's 3 million to Donny and then whoever offers most to Sharp that will obtain his services I guess. Doubt if were going to be front runners in that sort of auction, unless of course he wants to come to the best club and will yake less to do so. Still think lack of a guaranteed start will be a stumbling block with us.
-
Ballots are a self proliferating system to ensure that the same people get the available tickets each time. I find it correct that those who got Portsmouth tickets weren't first in line again for Brighton tickets.
-
Played above 30 times for Everton and got about 8 goals. More prolific than modern day Torres if you just look at stats. Beckford has pace,he's not just a finisher,we already have a finisher.
-
To be honest I'd think you'd need to be looking at a Brighton board to get any chance of a spare ticket. They're pretty harmless, not much problem about being in the home stands unless of course you give it large when we score each of our 3 goals. http://www.northstandchat.com/showthread.php?223532-1-Adult-and-under-16-for-Southampton

would that not eliminate the element of being in the right place at the right time??
-
Can't you buy packs of new questions?? Buy 1 pack of new questions, take half of the old ones out and replace them with half of the new ones.Gives all ages a roughly equal chance....well in theory it does.
-
Indeed, I think people are setting their sights too low. In principal we're only in the NPC for another 4 months, don't want to have to start all over again in May. That's why I said I'd personally prefer Beckford to Sharp, because he's got previous in the PL.
-
For those who don't know, we did bid 3 million + for Beckford last August you know, we wanted him,our price wasn't enough for Everton,Leicester added the couple of quid more that they wanted.Beckford is a good player and I've no doubt that Nigel can handle "attitudes".
-
Well of course it won't. Beattie is old and shîte,so is Stern John, can't think why anyone would even consider him for re-signing.
-
Of course not, Leicester probably don't have the type of midfield you need to get the best out of Beckford, we do.
-
Logan's Run country is SMS.
-
In where? In fact I'd rather let them have Sharp and get Beckford for ourselves. Got this niggly feeling that Sharp wouldn't be consistently good enough for us.
-
might as well keep tabs on any player that's worth having when they finally go bust.
-
Jeez, I'm not even convinced as yet that Sharp is good enough for Saints let alone Stern John.
-
Of course, Gobern was periphery to the first team squad anyway, better off out of it,wouldn't have had much future with us.
-
Err didn't we do a deal with Doncaster last summer??
-
In fact goal scoring is getting more difficult with each passing season, looked at Arsenal-Wolves yesterday and you'd have to say that Arsenal could have(and probably should have) scored about 10. Hennessey played a blinder and a couple were cleared off the line as well, nothing to do with the Arsenal players either, most of the save and clearances were from perfectly executed strikes.I think you just have to admit that in our day goalkeepers are players in their own right and can do just as much to turn the result of a game as a 40 million £ striker.

Weren't we using Chilean bases both for covert sabotage ops inside Argentina and refuelling for ground attack aircraft other than Sea Harriers and GR3 Harriers??? Didn't know it wasn't common knowledge :smug:
