  1. Jean-Claude Vandamme Patrick Bruel Justine Henin Jacky Ickx Eddy Merkx all famous belgians Johnny Haliday was a belgian, then he became French, then he tried to become Belgian again so that he could be a tax exile in Monaco (the French can't) I knew a Belgian girl once, must be famous as the best BJ giver ever. Good to have midweek football again isn't it.
  2. not necessarly, they've just signed Gabbidon and perhaps they're up to their 25 man squad limit.
  3. but they still haven't put Guly and Chaplow back into their rightful places on the list though.
  4. except that Briggs got smashed for 10 an over. 5 overs for 50 runs
  5. devestated or not it was going to happen from the first couple of games onwards, when you can't finish off tailenders you don't win matches and you get relegated.
  6. interesting that he only weighs 57 kg though, 3 big macs with fries must weigh about 57 kgs.
  7. No I think he sobered up and withdrew his offer to play for us for a mere 20K a week and a 15 year contract.
  8. Anyway 1.4 million won't be anywhere near enough to make YBs part with Ammar, even if he is dicking them around, they paid his Tunisian club more than that. 2.5 million minimum methinks.
  9. doubtlessly, the OS make an incredible number of gaffs for something attached to a thoroughly professional outfit like SFC.
  10. Vossen is a pretty handy striker by Belgian standards but what that means in the real world who knows. 3.4 million seems a lot for him, euros maybe making a round 3 million in GBP. I really really can't understand why we are running after strikers with serious price tags when we already have 3 front men plus Doble plus Guly.Surely it must mean that at least one of RL,LB or DC just isn't in Nigel's plans.
  11. really, I thought that was Sharp, never heard about an offer for Maynard being accepted.
  12. courrier's dog ate it.
  13. and Chaplow has been moved out of the numbers and into the odds and sods, an error no doubt, it's the OS after all. So has Guly...........
  14. He may well press League 1 defenders into mistakes but whether he'll get the same result from far better players who earn 5 or 6 times as much supposedly because of their greater ability we shall have to wait and see. I think many fans are in for a rude shock about many of their "best players" when we come up against sides like Leeds,Leicester,West Ham etc.
  15. I still think that Lambert leaving wouldn't be so great a loss as many seem to think.
  16. I don't think he's ever played for Tranmere, so why should their fans dislike him, other than a general dislike for any opposing player that is?
  17. At least this regime has dared to tax the fans for everything and doesn't pander to "fan power".Perhaps the 2 previous regimes were running the place like a charity shop. I think many supporters, particularly the older ones, have learnt a valuable lesson, if you want success in football it comes with a price tag.
  18. Doesn't matter where they played really, neither of them will get any serious game time next season anyway.
  19. I don't blame them but it's a bit disconcerting when you look at the video or interview or whatever and have a distinct impression of déjà vu.
  20. strange photo, looks like he's missing a set of wheels on the side that touches the ground, probably just an optical illusion though.
  21. Anyway, the NA interview is apiece chopped out of his mid session interview on Saturday, I've noticed that the OS tend to do that quite a lot now that there's not much activity, they split his pre-match,post-match interviews into 2 or 3 bits and put them up under different headers.
  22. that's a very cryptic statement for a Sunday evening 9, I shall reflect upon it's meaning.
  23. was the fun-fair included in the price or were the rides on top of the ticket price?
  24. Portugal is a eurozone country right? Probably just taking the fee that Sunderland paid errr Sheffield for him as his value. not had a great time since he went to Sunderland, loans in the CCC mainly.
  25. perhaps not paying up on time isn't a calcuated decision, HCC probably doesn't have the money.I don't think the game was all that well attended and the weather wasn't great (is it anywhere this "summer"?).Sri Lanka aren't a great draw and 2 million + is a lot of money.
