  1. Far too many draws and not enough goals. I've taken to watching the games with the sound muted, those f*cking vuvuzelas are ruining the competition.Plus it's cold and usually p*ssing down with rain should have given it to Morrocco, at least it would be sunny and trumpetless.
  2. Because he said so in a quote a while back, think I posted it up on this very forum, mind you it was in a Francophone Senagalese newspaper.
  3. because a couple of those dead ball kicks of his and the occasional nod down is all it takes to be worth a 2 million £ punt in the EPL; worse players than Rickie have been signed for far more than he would command. Like Surman for example.
  4. I thought that was called Ireland;)
  5. but he wants to play, if it's to hang around on the bench he might as well go for the status of an EPL bench at Wolves, he has a contract he doesn't have to leave them.
  6. I don't think Morgan is going anywhere though, that's the very thing. Surman played left midfield most of the time when he wasn't playing left back, AP isn't going to drop either Lallana or Puncheon for him, doubt if Wolves will get many offers for him really, a free maybe to Bournemouth or Brentford or something, bloke just hasn't played enough football
  7. I ask again to do what exactly ? really don't see a slot for him in our side next season, Schneiderlin is by far a superior player and Lallana and Puncheon have the ooomph that Surman doesn't, that leaves Hammond's spot and I don't see Surman in his place in CM, someone else maybe but not Surman.
  8. Surman doesn't want to be 3rd or 4th choice, there's a difference in emphasis in "didn't and doesn't"
  9. StE aren't all that great, the only reason I could see for Morgan to go there is because he has been told by Mombaerts that he'd be in line for a call up for the Bleuets for their Euro 2011 campaign if he gets a "better standard of football". He had a very fair tournament at Toulon and it's obvious that he creates time with his play allowing others smart enough to see it the time to get into good positions to receive what invariably looks a very simple pass but which is only feasable because of the time gained in the first place. I'm reasonably sure that he'll stay with us though, what AP doesn't need to do though is start f*cking him about with an any 4 from 6 midfielders policy,
  10. Didn't SLH have their own financial arm? a wholly owned subsidary I seem to remember.
  11. Is this the smug I don't need an instalment plan and have got my ST thread?:smt105
  12. Debit card payments cost a fair amount in handling charges and a small percentage fee. It can cost a business up to 2% to accept debit card transactions each time plus a base charge. For 6 £50 DC shots it may well cost £10 or £15 in fees etc but they're not allowed to pass them on, it has to be in the basic price.Perhaps someone who actually accepts D Card transactions could give us the real figure?
  13. But the club aren't registered for financial services, that's no doubt part of the problem. I don't think you can take people's money in saving's schemes unless you're a registered financial services provider. Neither can you provide credit, so it all has to go through outside agencies and so costs money. There are 2 main FSP in football Premium Credit and Zebra Finance, they charge a lot of money for ST instalment schemes.
  14. Jason, just to put you straight, Markus Liebherr's companies are market leaders in common Rail Diesel technology,he doesn't make fridges, freezers or cranes. Doubt if he sell CDTI technology to Tesco's either.I have a TDCI engined car, it runs on about 3.2 litres of diesel per 100km, that's fantastic technology, but I doubt Markus gave it to Volkswagen for free.
  15. and yet they think nothing of spending what £150/£200 for a day out at Wembley, that is what has driven this price hike and one off payment plan. People took wives, girlfriends, kids, grannies and aged aunties with no thought of the cost or of other fans who were deprived of tickets, cost of 2 tickets even at £34=£68, transport another what say £30,meals, booze, gear etc say another £40, so fans blew stacks of cash on 1 day out, and now they moan because there is no easy payment plan, too much swagger and Falstaffian behaviour and now we've got what we deserved.
  16. I was and I hadn't ploughed nigh on 20 million into the club. I think it is absolutely abhorrent that we are to play in this sh*t league for another twelvemonth,SFC playing against Dagenham and Redbridge, Bournemouth and Exeter...beurkk
  17. all these additional costs are surely the result of maintaining a CCC level side in League 1.We needed to go up, NC said it a couple of times, we didn't and now the cost of that failure has to be met by the fans.
  18. Probably because we have bought two one Million £ + players and apparently need at least one more.Non success in League 1 this season obviously hasn't come cheaply, still we won the JPT
  19. Like the ones that got us into admin in the first place , it was perfectly obvious to many that money was going astray, if the club were absorbing the payment plan cost and then people were truanding on payments and still going to games for f*ck all then you can see why we had no money even if everything would seem to indicate that we should have
  20. maybe they were trying to find a payment plan provider at reasonable rates, on the other hand it could well be that the parent company ML5 million384.6... or whatever it is has a financial year ending 31st May and today we started a new one.
  21. But when everybody wanted tickets for just 1 match £58 plus the booking fee was no trouble whatsoever. Saints fans have dug their own pit by falling over themselves to pay over the odds for the JPT final. I can see NC's(and whoever else may be involved) reasoning. No one was skint for Wembley, they've given you time to stash a bit away so why should they expose you to the 15.9-17.1% APR loan sharks (cos that's what Premium Credit and Zebra Finance sting you for) Say you taken on a 380 ST at 16% APR, you'll end up paying about 420 quid for it and some loan shark will profit from it. Get a bank loan and you'll pay much less. You just have to cut out loan sharks and I'm sure Mr Cortese knows all about them. here's a Zebra form for West Ham, for a £385 ticket you end up paying about £418, http://www.foreverwesthamutd.co.uk/apply/docs/zebraFinanceApplication.pdf
  22. no we didn't, we got 12.5 million for him at the end of the day, we cashed in on add-ons but that was Crouch think.
  23. as usual these final deadlines are just a gee up for buyers or to get ransom money paid or whatever. Hardly anyone takes any notice of 'final delays' nowadays or any other interdiction for that matter. Unless you're prepare to carry out whatever sanction is on offer for not sticking to the deadline it's just all hot air. Can't remember who said it but Never issue menaces without being prepared to carry out the sanction is a good policy. Most Israeli governments swear by it.
  24. Now if there had been an instalment plan...
