  1. f they're still in business in 2012 of course. I really doubt that their debt is surmountable.
  2. Norwich lost their opening game 7-1 and changed the manager very soon afterwards.I would think even an iffy start next season would bring about rapid action from NC, if it doesn't happen before of course because despite all the waffle that I read on here I am by no means sure that it's nailed on that AP will start the season with us. If were more than 10 points off 6th place (which we probably won't be) then I'll wait until NC expresses himself on the subject (or does nothing about it,whichever the case might be) .Then again Markus might be so chuffed with his day ou at Wembley he may have already overruled NC who knows.
  3. We really need some bowlers urgently. Had them on the run at 311/7 and now we're allowing the lower order to hammer out quick runs.Gonna be a long old season in the field for us I think.
  4. who knows, perhaps everybody is taking a free under 8 (under 12 in the family section) and there are no more tickets available. Wouldn't think so though as AP spoke of needing a big crowd to boost the lads,if we already had but few places left he probably wouldn't say anything about it.
  5. The trouble with the JPT is that you can't field a really weak side and a strong side would be overly criticised if they lost to league 2 strugglers. Didn't stop Millwall losing against Barnet though..
  6. As did Swindon at home, very few imagined us losing that one. In fact the two results that really damaged our campaign were the losses at home to Swindon and away to Tranmere. All the rest were manageable but not those 2.
  7. But AP addresses the situation in the correct manner in his interview pre Carlisle, that we just need to win our matches and see what happens because we have a mathematical chance. We need the fans to turn up in number and get behind the team. It doesn't need three or four other OS articles to tub thump on the issue, Sibley,Kelvin,Lallana don't need to be seen to be all going on about the same point in the space of a couple of days.
  8. We all want them to lose obviously but fate arranges it that they are playing Stockport who are absolutely woeful and who probably have no chance whatsoever of winning against Huddersfield.
  9. Don't think we'll lose TBH,depends on the energy levels of the players that looked a bit flat on Tuesday because in some departments we just don't to seem to have much depth despite our relatively large squad. Plus I think AP said in his interview (near the start) that some players had been ticked off by the coaches for something or other, didn't catch what it was.
  10. I wonder what would be their reaction when they hear that Huddersfield are 2 -0 up after half an hour. I think the club are making themselves look like prize idiots with all this "we can still do it tub thumping".Believing we can do it is one thing, keeping on and on and on about what is a minimal chance isn't very smart, they're taking the average fan for an idiot. As usual this is just my opinion which will differ from that of the majority, then again I'm not an all believing sheep.
  11. The teams are so poor that even Sir Alex or Wenger couldn't do much with them. Poor players cannot be turned into world beaters by even the best managers. If you haven't got the cash to survive or raw talent that can be perfected best stay out of the EPL.
  12. Right, should have looked at the list myself, couldn't be arsed though.
  13. Do they owe us 35000£ or the 350000£ that I've seen posted elsewhere? Makes a whole lot of difference as to what it may be for If it's 350K£ it's no doubt player transfer related
  14. This is just cash register filling, everybody knows we will not make the play-offs, most suspected that we wouldn't a long time ago but some fairly unexpected results from other teams and some excellent results from our lads prolonged the suspense a bit. No doubt the JPT cost us the play-offs but that's life. No reason not to support the team for the remaining 3 games though, something may still depend on the outcome of them.
  15. Bayern bat United because against superior quality opposition they have learned to rely totally on Wayne Rooney, bit like us with Lambert. No Rooney= p*ss poor United Watch Lyon take Bayern apart, they are a solid all round team that plays football
  16. I'm not APs biggest fan really, he has done an adequate job but could have done better (in my opinion).I'm not really fussed whether he stays or goes to be honest.
  17. It's not about beingf a fan or not, it's about not wanting to see real talent frittered away in a sh*t league where sooner or later it will get kicked and punched out of him(them) I honestly think Lallana and Morgan are wasting their time, energy and youth in this awful division and think that they should be allowed to leave (providing we get a decent offer) to show what they can really do elsewhere. I have never been sad to see good young players moving onwards and upwards to exploit their talent to it's capacity. Then again I like football and not just SFC and some of the opposition in this League don't play football insomuch
  18. But then again we've had the same "good luck" on penalties not given ourselves, plus a couple of iffy ones that we've scored from and won the game subsequently. You just can't blame things on refs, we have a side that is vastly superior to Oldham's,we shouldn't need penalties to beat them.We have 3 strikers in our side who have scored nigh on 80 goals between them this season plus a couple of hot shot impact subs, still we couldn't score against a rubbish side. That's about tactics and fatigue and nothing else.
  19. "IF" is the operative word, me I just can't see a side that's won just 2 home games out of 22 suddenly beating a side that's won 8 away already. As I've said before if Huddersfield were going to crack it would have been when they were 3-2 down against Walsall.Huddersfield have won about 5 out of their last 7 games, they just aren't going to fall at the last hurdle I'm afraid. So whatever anyone might say we are in League 1 for another season at least. What changes that will bring I've no idea, not many I guess but you have to accept it for what it is.
  20. Like we did in January you mean.
  21. Anyway comparing Schneiderlin to James, Wotton,Hammond or any other hack midfielder in the lower leagues is just pointless. He's a class youngster who's developing his game to suit our League 1 status. He needs to leave and play some real football somewhere with a manager who knows what he's doing on the cultured footballing front.
  22. The pitch seemed Ok when Carberry and Adams were at the crease. Couldn't say for sure of course because we don't get cricket here but I'd wager there have been more than a few one day hoicks in our collapse. At least the tail will wag us past 300
  23. Middle Order? Total collapse from 244/2 to 288/8 Seems we were trying to score too fast again
  24. Anyone know what he said last summer before being transferred from Bristol Rovers? Might be insightful . Anyway whether we keep Lambert or not is not our top priority,we could probably get that lad Austin for 2 litres of Scrumpy and 3 bags of Pork Scratchings. There are far more important players in our side than RL as regards to building for the future is concerned.
  25. perhaps it's 200K/annum basic and some performance incentives which might make quite a tidy sum if the team does well. I think we have quite a few players on performance based pay. Doubt if any of them get all that much basic(despite all the 12K/week rumours and all that) because NC is probably a bit of a hard headed chairman on that front.
