Colleague who is a ST at chelsea just told me that they will be in the World Club championship in Japan over the weekend of December 15th.

Blimey, with all these newborn saints fans arriving it's just as well Saints are looking to expand St Mary's! Congrats to all!

I see some boffins at the "university" (term applied loosely) down the road have developed an app Phone app colour codes messages to 'help manage stress' (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-18397429) Best bit for me - Presumably preparing them for doomsday - coming their way pretty soon
-
Just been on the fone to our office in Warsaw - city centre full of russkies and it's beginning to get quite lively. No love lost between them and the Poles.
-
Perfect timing - just had an email this morning from our HR about Corporate Hospitality & Events Register - reminding anyone that is invited to events like the Euros etc that they must inform HR beforehand so thay can decide if it's bribery and corruption. So anyone out there with a Corp Box at SMS this season - I'm open to offers!

PS my definition of over achieving this season will be a top four finish -

same here. Also really happy that all the championship promotion talk has been about Reading and West Ham. Most people seem to have forgotten about us and therefore expectations from most people will be for us to go straight back down. There is massive pressure on WHU from fans and press and now that Reading have a rich sugar-daddy I'm sure they will be expected to buy themselves to safety. I'm not expecting us to over achieve this season, but I'm half expecting us to really surprise a lot of people -
I love this new guy Hollande - he is really putting the knife in - what's next on the agenda?
-
Said in the times yesterday that there were over 10k unsold for this game

from the Guardian today

ta! new it was the end of a month - just got the wrong one!
-
doesn't the season officially run 1st june - 31st May? Might be wrong of course, but I think players contracts all finish 31st May
-
Out of the teams above us only Mbro surprised me - one of those clubs that you don't seem to notice for much of the time. If we finish 14th next season I'll be very happy

I shhould add that I didn't get a taxi from adelaide to perth
-
Just arrived in Perth this morning from adelaide and the taxi driver was a relatively young guy (as taxi drivers go) from Manchester originally - and a genuine city supporter. He goes to watch Perth Glory(?) every home game and has said that the quality of oz domestic football is improving season by season (he didn't say by how much). So it must have been pretty poor a few years ago!
-
hmm 2nd half in japan has improved and adelaide have just scored a half decent goal
-
just happen to be watching Brisbane Roar v Beijing Guoan (or something) in the asian champions league on fox sports whilst i'm in oz. Couple (ok 3) of points of note: 1. general standard is fairly poor - not even good championship standard 2. The chinese are dirty b**gers 3. The ref is from the UAE and I would hazard a guess that this could be the first football match he has ever reffed The other option is to watch Adelaide away to gamba osaka (japan) - also on fox - that one looks marginally better. P*ss poor crowds at both
-
could be plus some hangers on!

you should get your moneys worth! i saw the the aussie team at a conference i'm at in Adelaide this morning!

Morning all. It's wonderful start to the day in Cornwall. Bright sunshine which bodes well for one of the biggest days in the DBP household. Eldest son is getting married today. He is also a mad saints fan and the timing of the wedding was unavoidable. Even though we will all be concentrating on the wedding I'm sure we will all be keeping one ear on the score. Our KO is 2pm so by the time we get to the church the 2nd half should be underway and hopefully by the time we get to the reception we will have two magic things to celebrate. Ordinarily we would be with you all at SMS but today for once only, our thoughts will be concentrated elsewhere. I'm confident we'll be having a great reception come 3.30 in Cornwall. Wish we were there!! COYR

Live in Ashtead and would normally be at SMS but our son is getting married at 2pm in Cornwall! Hopefully everything will be sealed by the time we get to the church!!

Cheers Eric and everybody else! Back home now and wondering why I got rid of tickets! However mrs dbp assures me I'll be in no fit state later! The surgeon did say that pbro might still be on though! Still got this down as a must not lose but sneeky feeling we'll win it.
-
Don't feel sorry for me! In hospital waiting for anaesthetist. Having op on knee this morning. Turns out surgeon is massive saints fan too so I have complete faith in him! Had two tickets for tonight but reg of London saints has taken them off my hands. Was a very very very difficult decision to have the op today on biggest game of season? But at least ill see it on telly!

Couldn't agree more - but you should have gone there 20 years ago - Ayresome Park was awful and the town was twice as bad as it now. The Transporter Bridge over the Tees is worth a visit though
