I'm sure that 90% of saints that were there (me included) thought the same - I really thought that we had a lot left in reserve. OK they had a couple of chances - but so does every team in every game. It was the way we kept possession in the 2nd half gave me loads of comfort. It's how we dominated this division upto december. OK Reading are definitely a lot better than CP - but I am still confident that we can play our possession football. I just hope we don't resort to the long ball stuff which could play into their hands. I also wouldn't change the back four for this one - I thought that Richardson was our weak link against portsmouth who played on his relative slowness. I thought Butterfield looked pretty comfortable against Palace - even when their youngster Zaha (who I thought looked pretty good - apart from his late challenge) was in full flight.

check out the marhall 50th anniverary concert at wembley arena in september - awesome

If Lambert's not a starter I'd really consider starting with Lee Barnard - get him stuck into their back four early could cause them loads of problems. And he would be really up for it.

just make sure she gets an ample supply of world cup tickets written into her contract - assuming you will be there for that long! Go for it - Doha may not be the coolest (rofl) place on earth, but living in the middle east can be really handy - access to far east is dead easy, africa etc etc. Lived inthe ME for 10 years and loved it (just ask EoA etc)

I suspect many people will put this down to global warming

Didn't we get the Barnsley tickets sent by recorded delivery earlier this season at no extra cost? -
That's true but you'll have to wait another 24 years to see them so close again

The Market Porter in the middle of Borough Market, two minutes from London Bridge tube/overland - one of the best real ale pubs in London (it's one of my favourites anyway - http://www.markettaverns.co.uk/the_market_porter.html) , and you can drink outside on the street especially as it looks like it could ber really warm. For the tourists amongst you, just around the corner from Borough Market is the The George (The George Inn Yard, 77 Borough High Street) - a National Trust owned pub. One of the last galleried inns in London (http://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/george-inn/) it's worth a visit and you can sit in the courtyard - beers not too bad either - Greene King, with a special brew just for the pub

No, but the getting out is - the queue for the trains back through the caged walkway should take some time. After the cup game we were kept back for what seemed like ages. So with 3000 there I'm worried that much valuable celebratory drinking time will be lost!

Just happen to be in Perth on business as I write - supping a Little Creatures Bright Ale from the micro brewery in Fremantle!! (But getting the emirates flight out at 6am in the morning!) 60 this year - brought up in Holbury, now living in Surrey (handily placed twixt st mary's.London and airports and been watching saints home and away since the early 60's. Anyone on here play for Holbury 64 or Holbury yth (new forest sunday league) in the late 60's will know me, also turned out for Blackfield,Esso,Brockenhurst, Pirelli G, and in the early 70's went to uni in Bristol and Dave Burnside (childhood hero) signed me for Bath City - which sadly came to nothing. Couldn't getback for Barnsley but have ticket for Millwall next week!!

He certainly sounded depressed - but who wouldn't if you you were faced with getting out of bed every morning and having to try and save that pile of sh*t. He essentially said it was an impossible task. Couple of things I caught were: - again commented that they were a poor championship club on Prem wages - that creditors who got 20p in the £ from the first fiasco, are only now going to get 20p in the £ of that - ie 4p in the pound. - touch n go whether they'll make it to the end of the season - at the end of the chat the football league creditors rule was very briefly discussed and birchy seemed to think it was inevitable that hmrc would win (eventually), but he then went on to say that the Prem an FL would likely change the rules again, implying (to me) that they had something up their sleeve to **** the taxman off again. All in all it sounded as if the toast id beginning to burn (at last)

West Ham 1 - 1 Saints - Post Match Reaction

I was gutted for Sharpe - we were right behind the goal - just about 3 or 4 yards from him. Green made a great save from a really viscious shot from lallana that was moving about in the air. It seemed that sharpe only needed to tap it in. Actually thinking about it he did only need to tap it in. On the positive side I thought Sharpe looked pretty sharp (ha ha) and I think he will be a real asset as he showed with his miss that he can get in on goal really quickly and should sneak a few goals before too long. Obviously we were right behind (ok slightly offset to the left) Lamberts free kick and it had Green beaten hands down - couldn't believe it brushed the outside of the post. It was great to see us playing the real passing game that we perfected in the great run up to December. There may have been a few poor balls and dodgy crosses, but our patient build up really got under WHU skin - you could see their players and fans getting really agitated because they couldn't get near the ball. For me Lallana and morgan absolutely dominated midfield and when puncheon came on the extra width down the left almost paid dividends. Difficult to say what would have happned if there hadn't been a sending off. WHU started like an express train, but that rarely continues for the whole game and WHU made it very tight with 10 men, but the way were played in the second half was outstanding. Standing in the queue for the underground afterwards I was chatting with a few WHU fans. Obviuosly they were really ****ed off at the sending off, but once they got over that most of them were really impressed with our style and quality of football and genuinely thought that we were the best footballing side they had seen this season. One guy said that our two centre backs looked so comfortable on the ball they almost reminded him of one of their greatest legends. I wouldn't stretch it that far but but jos & fonte seem to have built a pretty good understanding already - although jos did give me a couple of dodgy moments in the 2nd half! I actually thought that at times our football was some of the best I have seen this season, and hopefully we have got over the winter blues. As an afterthought - I was sadly embarrassed by lallana's lame effort of conning the ref into giving us a pen! -
I would start with the same 11 except puncheon in for Guly. I thought Morgan was outstanding against WHU and when punch came on it gave us that bit extra width and speed down the left

Just starting to get nervous - work in town so am going to leave the office around 4.30 and stop at the Wetherspoons near Farringdon Station for food , beer to calm my nerves!

That's a bit harsh on Greece. Apart from their economy (on a par with ppy), Greece is a rather nice place to go
-
I suspect that this will pee off the HMRC alot and that will result in them targeting football even more - especially when it comes to non payment of tax and winding up orders

Any tickets left for general sale tomorrow?
