MLT was playing in the best league in the world when he was at saints, it is much different to fighting relegation from the championship. Would you really have that little ambition? I'm sure they want to achieve much more from their careers eg. fa cup winners, maybe play in eufa cup and represent their country at senior level. If they had as little ambition as you I doubt they would have ever made pro footballers.

add to that around 1,000 away fans= a gate of 10,500. not much lower than normal= not much notice taken by lowe, but still damages our club. Personally I think the best thing would be to get as many people as possible to a selected match, but not go to our seats until about 10/ 15 minutes into the game... IMO this would really get Lowes attention and if the gate was 20,000+ would show him how much money HE is depriving the club of.

Sky Sports News: Stoke in for Lallana and Surman.
voteforpedro replied to derry's topic in The Saints
IMO he's been our best outfield player this season. If we weren't in such a bad position financially I'm sure we could get over £4 million for him. -
Mirror (for what they are worth) Lallana/Surman get their dream move!
voteforpedro replied to NickG's topic in The Saints
Would've thought we could get more than £3million but guess we're not a position to demand much. IMO would be a very bad move for them, particularly Lallana. I can't see either of them fitting into the Stoke team and Lallana certainly wouldn't hold down a first team place. -
My explanation was: 'There is no alternative as chairman, there is no one with money who will buy the club, there is no one else who will have the backing of barclays.' Are you suggesting that one of the other board members becomes chairman, if so which one and what do you think they will do differently?
-
No matter what Lowe does or doesn't do he will get slated by the 'lowe out' people. The truth is every chairman/ board member we have had in the last 5 years is partly responsible for the position we are now in; whether it was overspending/ underspending hiring/firing managers at the wrong time getting too involve in the team/ giving the manager too much freedom in the transfer market etc. However at this moment in time the only person who will see us out of this financial mess is Lowe. There is no alternative as chairman, there is no one with money who will buy the club, there is no one else who will have the backing of barclays. We are stuck with what we have got whether people like it or not. The fact is no amount of protesting will make Lowe leave as it means he will lose every penny he has put into the club.

break the sky curse and get a 3-1 win. i wish i could have made the trip today. after recent performances i'm feeling much more optimistic. saturday was a bad result, definately two points lost but the lads will learn from their mistakes and continue to improve.

Was a bit shocked to see so many Aldershot fans come out of Waterloo East, anyone know who they were fighting with?
-
OS says 1,400 sold, about 800 left. Whatever the result tonight I'm sure we'll sell most of those.

Have you seen the financial report?...you think if Lowe was to leave today, we could gain promotion by the end of the season? For the foreseeable future promtion with any chairman is laughable. Lowe has made some big mistakes in the past when he has been charman, but IMO the decisions made this season have been correct. The majority of stay away fans are staying away because of abysmal home performances for the last 2 years, not because of who the chairman is. If you are staying away purely because of the chairman you should be embarrassed. I can understand the arguement that its too expensive, especially when we are playing so poorly, but to stop supporting the team because of the chairman is IMO pathetic.

'Referee Mr. Lee Mason is from the select group of full time referees who operate mainly at the highest level' (from the ref watch section of the wolves preview) http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/?page_id=10897 Not sure how he's managed to do that, he looked like the worst ref I've seen at st. Marys, and we've seen a few bad ones
-
Fan the flames, you claim Lordswoodsaint is one of the 'lowe faithful' and that his arguement has no substance, but you haven't answered his question; what is your realistic, viable alternative?
-
anyone know if we've been given these extra tickets? I want to get tickets but not sure I'll be able to get them until next week, will there be any left?
-
Erm what? A season ticket is nothing like buying shares in the company. A season ticket is a ticket for every league match, at a discount price. However as a season ticket holder I have no complaints about this sort of scheme. I would much rather have a full stadium, good atmosphere and better financial position for the club.

Did we not draw with a strong West Ham side pre season and knock Birmingham out of the cup? Maybe we can raise our game again against these 'big' teams and get some suprise results
-
I agree 100% with that post and IMO Jan is doing a good job here

Juniors usually U16 but I'm not sure. Someone said there is a long wait for the bus back to the train station, does anyone know if I am likely to get to the station in time for the 5.45 train?

The atmosphere from saints fans came through quite well on the radio, how many of you there, I was only expecting about 400 to make the trip?
-
The Dell=supporters----ST.Mary's=spectators

I'm a good few years under 30 but I still know what you mean. The best atmospheres I've experienced at away games were at QPR and Cardiff, proper grounds and Bristol City wasn't too bad. The worst I've experienced were at Leicester, Coventry and the home support from Charlton was pretty bad. The main reason I choose to go to an away game is for the atmosphere. It's shame there will be no Ninian Park next season. -
 not sure where you got that number from. Last season their lowest attendance was 14,822. The season before their lowest was 14,895. Infact even in the 02/03 season when they were in div 3 (League 2) their lowest attendance was 7,684.

Forget about the board, even if Lowe has told him to say this it's still true. The club needs the fans more than ever, get behind the team ffs!

There is no chance that any manager will be given free reign by Lowe or any other chairman in our financial situation. We have to keep cutting costs in order for the club to keep running, therefore we will be stuck with a 'yes man' until our circumstances improve. I think A. He has made some poor tactical decisions, but he has got some of the youngsters playing well and I believe he is now getting a decent balance in the team with some older heads coming back.

I have a season ticket but am begging to wonder why I still go. It's not that I am scared I may see them lose, but am tired of having to travel to places like Swansea, leaving at 9am, getting home at 9.30pm, spending £40+, feeling completely let down and having to get up at 9am the next morning going to work feeling depressed.
